The Pizza is amazing! The music is great! They had a ton of screens to watch all the football. I walked in around 8:30pm with my husband and 2 little boys. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. The service was excellent, we were spoiled by both Drew and Sal, I say spoiled because they both constantly checked on us and refilled our drinks. Our pizza came out quickly and was fresh and hot! My picky boys each ate two whole slices. It was over all a wonderful Sunday night dinner experience. Service is adequate but not great as they don't have enough staff to fully serve all. Ambiance is great as they maximize what little space they have and it being on a small town drinking district strip is ideal. The Wild Goose has a second floor, private party room just down the street from them. It had a bar, a little game room with small pool table and an arcade game, and also an outdoor patio area off the second floor. Even though it was short notice, the management was super friendly and accommodating to provide this intimate, private space for a pizza and salad meal for our extended family of about 30 that were in town for my father's funeral. The pizza wasn't all that warm by the time everyone got to the 'buffet' they'd set up for us, so maybe some system of warmers under the pizzas would've been good. Wow. Heard of the place before but our first time there. Started with the pepperoni chips as an appetizer- tremendous. Had the coney dog pizza there and that was fantastic. Got the cheese pizza as take out. Had a slice once I got home, about a 40 minute drive and still rates as the best cheese pizza I've ever had. The atmosphere was good, the service was great. Day 2 of Pizza Week so I grabbed lunch at the Wild Goose in Willoughby. It has been a while since I have been to the Goose and I have to say I have to get back soon. The Goose is right on Erie Street in the middle of downtown Willoughby, just a nice divey bar with a small kitchen and a high tech stone oven right next to the bar. The menu features pizzas, wings and some other variety of bar food. Seating options include tables, hightops and the bar, plus you can sit in the windows or in the darker main area. I of course got the Pizza Week $8 special which is their version of a Margherita Pizza. Due to the extremely hot oven the pizza came out within a couple of minutes. The pizza is beautiful to look at and even better to eat. The crust is thin and crisp and is a great canvas for the other ingredients. The tomato sauce is sweet with big chunks of tomato, topped with fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic. Overall great flavor, sweet with a bit of acid punch. This pizza is more about great quality ingredients rather then having huge portions. Since I was there at lunch time Wild Goose was pretty quiet, but it seems like it would be a great place to grab a drink and get some good food. They have figured out how to get the best out of the pizza oven and they use great ingredients. Definately worth a visit. read more

It's a sports bar doing sports bar things. So loud with lots of tvs. The browns won today so everyone was in a very good mood. We tried the mozzarella sticks and the cheese said pizza. Both were good. Very nice thin oven crust. The servers continuously checked on you, very nice but very annoying after awhile. Maybe because it had been emptying out when the game was over. We had a pretty stellar experience at The Wild Goose grabbing some wings + thin crust pizza. It was a chilly night in Willoughby and what better than some spice & liquor to warm you up? We ordered crispy wings with the goose sauce, which is like a honey mustard, BBQ, spicy mix. It was tangy and just right with a little kick. We also had some garlic parm on the side to dunk these suckers in! The aroma was perfectly potent and it's my favorite wing sauce, so it's hard for me to go out and not try each restaurant's varietal. They hit it on the nose! We got a pizza made 1/2 and 1/2... part classic pepperoni and cheese and part That's What Che Said which had a garlic oil base, ricotta, house cheese and Parmesan. Mmm. This was so simple and delicious. The pepperoni was great as well, with just the right texture of the crust. I don't like it burnt and I hate it soggy. The red sauce has a tiny punch to it which I thoroughly enjoyed. Next time around I want to try the Jalapeño Business pizza which has taco meat on it... mmm... or the Toni (it was a spicy za with jalapeño and spicy pepperoni and spicy marinara) - all in all we had a very pleasant chat with our bartender and enjoyed our evening sitting in the window next to a Christmas tree and looking out into the pretty seats of downtown. Oh yeah, and I may or may not have actually dumped an entire jar of crushed red pepper on a slice because the lid popped off LOL. Be careful!!! read more

I have been to the Wild Goose a few times and will not return after my last experience there. Food and service was fine but when I checked my credit card statement the next day, they doubled the amount that I tipped! As if 20% isn't more than enough that I tipped, they changed my tip to a 40% tip. Absolutely ridiculous. I will not be returning to a business that tries to steal money from their customers. WOW!! This pizza was delicious and exactly what we needed for dollar drink night. This was the first time we were in town and we decided to stop at Mullarkey's however they said they don't serve food and recommend us to order from The Wild Goose and that's exactly what we did!! The ordering online was very easy and detailed, once we ordered we got a text sent to our phone with a time it would be ready. Once it was ready we walked down the street 200ft picked up the pizza and brought it back to the bar. Let's just say we made EVERYONE at the bar a little jealous and I wouldn't be surprised if more pizza's were ordered that night ended up being from the bar! read more
