This place has been on my list forever and I finally stopped by when they were open. It's a tiny place on a corner in Tremont so street parking. I came on a mission to try one of their sandwiches and I was not disappointed. I got #47: California turkey, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, mozzarella and garlic sun-dried tomato mayo. D.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. Also it was huge so I had essentially half for lunch DNA half for dinner. I'd highly recommend this place! read more

Love this place! Solid sandwiches at a great price, good bang for your buck. I have usually gotten the Southwestern sandwich, which I've loved. The sandwich is sizeable and comes with chips, which is a great deal. I have tried some of the cold sides (pasta salad, etc.) which I have found tasty as well. Although I don't think you can order online, you can call ahead to place an order. They have a large back room with seating, as well as some barstools overlooking the street while you're waiting. One of my favorite sandwich spots in Cleveland! read more

I occasionally come here for lunch and always have a good experience. The vibe is casual and has that cozy, mom-and-pop feel. You order at the counter and then grab a seat wherever you like. The ordering area is pretty small, so if a few people are waiting, it can feel a bit tight and awkward--but it's nothing unmanageable. I've tried two of their subs so far--the Southwestern Turkey (#47) and the Roast Beef (#53)--and both were delicious. They do go a little heavy on the sauces for my taste, but that's just a preference thing. If you like things saucy, you'll love it. Otherwise, maybe ask for a light sauce when you order. Overall, great sandwiches, super friendly staff, and a laid-back atmosphere. A solid lunch spot. read more

This place is small but it is mighty! The staff is so incredibly kind upon entry with a vast menu with many options to choose from. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, or you can order ahead/take out. The service was so quick and ohhh so tasty! I got the #45 sandwich and it was incredible. Great flavor and so much food. Such a low key, quick service deli with sandwiches that WILL BLOW YOUR MIND. I like 43 and 45. 43 has artichokes and turkey and is served panini style. 45 is a spicy southwest turkey. Chips come with the sandwiches, they have sides and sodas and teas for purchase and this is the ideal quick lunch spot. I also tried the rice crispy with butterfinger topping and it hit the spot. read more

It was the day after Christmas and almost everything in Tremont was closed. We were just about to give up and go somewhere else when we came across La Bodega. We were welcomed with a warm environment and happy employees willing to serve! The menu is incredibly long with so many options!! My fiancé ordered the 44 and I ordered the 63. Both were delicious and incredibly flavorful! We ate them in the little back room area and got to enjoy chips and a bottle of soda as well. Holy cow! What a find, biking along Cleveland's towpath I stopped in Tremont for a early lunch, happened upon La Bodega which has the softest bread on the most delicious sandwiches I've had in awhile. Drove here today for lunch. We chose this place solely based on the pictures of the food. I got the 53 and my husband, the 45. They were both superior sandwiches! We should have gotten one and split because they were so BIG - who knew! This was definitely an unexpected experience. Just delightful.!! Lived in Tremont for 4 years now and haven't been here but have always wanted to! My two friends and I both god the Southwest Sandwich and it was a hit! We called to order and walked to pick them up and they were ready within 10 mins. The sandwiches were huge and they also came with a bag of chips. A quaint sandwich, soup, and salad spot with so many options. Located on a corner in Tremont, we were greeted upon coming inside. We were served with fast friendly service. Small seating is available inside- it does close 30 minutes before close. The sandwiches were tasty and large- they left us full. There is free street parking outside. This was a great spot to get a quick lunch. read more

Decided to give the place a shot for lunch today. I ordered the #45 the Southwestern Sub and it didn't disappoint. The different flavor combination with the Turkey, bacons, peppers etc. paired very well with the Cajun Mayo. Sandwich had a nice kick to it but not to spicy. My negative is the sand which is toasted so you have a nice warm crunchy bread to bite into but the Turkey was room temperature. Would have been better served hot or cold, didn't like the luke-warm combination. Definitely worth going to. read more

I've been living in tremont for about 3 years, I have never tried this place... I 100% recommend!!! The sub I got is massive.. it took me so long to pick out an item to try. Great little corner sandwich place. It has less than a corner store, but also offers more than a corner store. Have I confused you? Good. This isn't a typical local corner store, they don't have a wall of chips and drinks you can pick from. But it isn't really a deli either, because again, it doesn't have a market! So don't take the name literally. But what it does have is a nice array of sandwich options. And salad. Plus some soups. A sandwich order comes with chips on the side. The sandwiches are actually pretty big and substantial. So it isn't a five dollar foot long but it will definitely fill you up with quality ingredients that SUBWAY COULD NEVER. The specials are worth your perusal. I ended up ordering one, it was some sort of a grilled cheese. It had walnuts and blue cheese in it. I liked it! I've never had any walnuts in a sandwich before, so I think points for creativity are well deserved. The place is a little tight if you want to stay. Also they are limited on the menu... so if you're going to head here, you need to be specifically going to eat a sandwich. read more

Very delicious sandwiches. The Gouda turkey with sprouts was incredible. The people working there are hustling with all the orders but very kind. They came out to ask how everything was tasting and if we needed anything. The bread too was amazing. Normally the sub rolls are too dried out or over crunchy hard to eat, but they had incredibly good sub bread for the sandwich. read more

La Bodega is one of those places that I always meant to visit. Now that I've done it, I feel dumb I haven't been eating here sooner. Tucked on the corner of Jefferson Avenue are some of the tastiest, most affordable sandwiches in the area. I was just telling a friend recently that I spend a lot of time in Tremont, but I'm not always up for the expensive fine dining. Enter: La Bodega. My new favorite. Yes, as others stated, this is a small sandwich shop. But really, does one need a Marie Antoinette style seating arrangement for sandwiches? No. Just grab a seat in the cozy back area adorned with local art or settle outside on one of the small bistro tables. La Bodega has a huge menu (see my photos!) with plenty of options for all dietary restrictions and taste buds. But not to mention, their menu is just crave-worthy! I'm not one of those people who ever *craves* a sandwich, but La Bodega changed my mind. I had the #30 Chicken Salad wrap with Lemon-Almond, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion. It was huge and delicious. This chicken salad felt healthy, had a great lemon/almond flavor, and had me full for hours. I forget the number (#46?), but my friend loved his pizza style sub. Oh, and on the way out, the owner (I think), said, "Have a great day, thanks for coming in, Lauren." Now, 9/10, I usually introduce myself when I visit a new business. But on this day, it was a million degrees, I probably looked crazy and was slightly grumpy, so i'm not even sure if I introduced myself. It caught me off guard in the best way possible. I used to come to the Asian town location a couple times a week for lunch but since it's closed I haven't been able to come in to the Tremont location.Since I was off the other day I decided to stop and get lunch for my boyfriend and I. Excellent little sandwich shop on the near Westside. Plenty of hot and cold sandwiches to choose from and they have space inside or outside if you want to sit down and eat. I usually get the #27 but surely plan on trying other sandwiches since its so close to where I work. Good friendly staff and the food is made to order hot, fresh and quickly. read more

The food here is good. A little bit on the pricey side for a sandwich/sub. The options around Tremont are slim for a quick bite to grab on the go. The sandwiches are heated on a panini grill. This is where I go if I have a hangover that allows me to eat. After it is all said and done, you may be spending around $10 for a combo meal. read more

La bodega is one of my favorite places to go for a quick lunch!!! However, you have to know what to order when you come here. Their service is five stars. Accurate,Friendly and fast. That's all I need! The salads are five stars. If heaven created salads, they would taste like la bodega's. I love that they load their salad up with fixings. I typically get #51 or 52. But I'll talk to you about #52. I've never seen a salad with such generous portions of blue cheese, walnuts, cranberries and shredded chicken. The quality of the ingredients is awesome! The lettuce (and accompaniments) is always super fresh. Their wraps are also amazing. Any kind Chicken salad- you can't go wrong. Other sandwiches, like grilled cheese, I have not been very impressed with at all. I've also gotten tomato soup which tasted like tomato water with dried herbs. Two stars there. Moral of the story, you'll be rewarded for choosing the healthier salad option at this joint! I highly recommend! read more

Very small sand which shop that offers both outdoor picnic and some seats o the inside. The menu is large, with a variety of salad or sandwich options, the combinations are endless. The food is made right where you ordered and refreshments are inside the cooler as well. Very busy with locals stopping in. The portions are very big, so you won't wave hungry! The food itself was what you would typically expect, nothing over the top, but did look fresh and was enjoyable. read more

It was huge, I ate it for lunch and dinner. It was very nice and juicy. I loved it. The place has some very weird art on display bot other than that the staff is very friendly. I thought it was okay. I know it is so overused when you say a restaurant's staff is friendly but sometimes it's rare when you actually get a genuine smile and a little friendly small talk. The staff really seems friendly and nice, well the two that I'd encountered. It was about less of an hour of closing time and no one was there so I decided to get my sandwich to go. As I waited, I just wandered off to the back...the actual dining area, to be nosey. The set up is small (to me) and...don't know how to describe it...off or something. But anyway, I got my sandwich and headed home. My thoughts when I first pulled it out the bag was "wow, this is heavy" and when I opened it, "dang, this is a big sandwich" lol. Now you can choose the bread you want for the sandwich and I decided on the asiago cheese bread. To me it didn't really taste like it...more like just regular French bread or something, not asiago cheese. Didn't really manage to finish it because it was honestly too much...one half is just enough (side note: maybe they should sell half sandwiches). At the end, it was an okay sandwich, not eager for another visit but worth trying out again...much much later. read more

I'd lived in Tremont for three month without realizing that La Bodega was right around the corner from my place - & what an omission of knowledge! I work from home, & I've been scrounging for lunch every day, when I could've been eating every sandwich on the planet. La Bodeg'a menu is vast, with lots & lots of sandwich options to choose from. I wouldn't say that any of them are, for the most part, extremely creative or shocking or amazing, but they serve literally any "old standby" you can think of. Whatever your comfort sandwich is, La Bodega serves it, or they can probably make it up for you. I'm a big fan of the #26 without tomato, a tuna melt that I order on wheat bread. Bonus: All sandwiches come with chips. The service is friendly & fast, & there's a little bit of indoor seating for those whose living room isn't 50 steps away, like mine. It's decorated with local art, & you can browse fliers & papers & other info from local businesses & events while you wait for your food. La Bodega feels like a true neighborhood joint - & I feel lucky to have them in my neighborhood. read more

I chose the tomato flavor, which was good--I would definitely be interested in trying the other flavors as well. Also chose add-on sides with lotus root and cauliflower (both were good but highly recommend the cauliflower since it had a roasted taste to it that added more to the dish). It was such a large portion and came with rice, that we definitely had to bring back leftovers. The drinks are consistently good. So far, I've had the tofu pudding milk tea (G28) and the oatmeal taro milk tea (G40, oatmeal similar to overnight oats texture, and taro tastes fresh), and I would definitely get both again. The environment/seating area is spacious and comfortable--perfect for socializing with friends and/or bringing your family Staff checked in frequently (made sure we were attended to and confirmed after we placed the orders via phone) Parking available as free parking on both sides (few spots for cars on E 30th ST side, more on side closer to E 31st street). Overall consistently good food with a good ambience---I'll definitely be back.

Sure it's small, literally off the parking lot (Danford Court) to be exact, but it's well loved and it shows in the eclectic mix of diners and well loved staff. The menu is also simple, but why add too many things that take away from the basics, big bowls of rare meats that cook in broth crafted for hours, you literally just need fresh basil lime and shoots with extra hot sauce to make one's mouth happy. I'm always a sucker for a V1 too, fresh ingredients make all the difference, the vermicelli is delicious as our their tofu rice rolls. On the way out, order a tea, no need to go somewhere else, it's hot and full bodied.
