    Ultimate Hummus Harissa Bowl
    Chanel J.

I ordered the Ultimate Hummus Harissa Bowl for pickup, so I can't speak to the in-store service, but the food itself was really good with fresh ingredients and great flavor. Unfortunately, they forgot the extra dressing I requested, so the bowl was a little dry. Still enjoyable overall, just would've been better with the added dressing.

Restaurant was lively and clean. I ordered for pick up and was told 10-15 minutes. I waited at least another 15 minutes inside the shop. Just a heads up that they run behind. Salad portion was huge! But, I was disappointed that it wasn't chopped?? When I used to frequent their NYC locations, the salad was put in a big mixing bowl and chopped up with a mezzaluna knife. Is that not a thing anymore? My salad had full falafels, chunks of carrots, croutons, etc. The reason I loved Chopt was for the unique chopped up salads! This was just a big salad I could have made at home. Ok, but for the price would probably skip next time.

Food was good and the service was the best. Another great eatery in Woodmere Village.

Casual service meets fantastic food in an environment perfect for families & groups of friends…read more Each time I visit Northstar Cafe I love it more (and wish more deeply it would expand to a Westside location). For brunch, my go to is the biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a good heat to it and the biscuits are flaky and buttery. For lunch, the buddha bowl and chicken & avocado sandwich are both elevated classics. My husband raves about the fish sandwich - and the salad that comes as a side is anything but simple. When you enter, you'll order with the cashier and then find a seat with your number. Typical counter service - but what makes Northstar special is that the interior feels more like fine dining and the food is much much better than your standard fare. Worth a trip for its own merits, the fact that it's located in a nice shopping area is also a draw, especially for a weekend when you want to have a leisurely stroll.

You enter and order at the counter and then get a table. We were not planning on desserts but while ordering our food, they got fresh cookies and we had to order two. It was definitely the best decision of the day. Portions are good here and dishes are well prepared with perfect combination of textures and tastes. I especially loved the sweet potato hash. Frittata was good too. We also had hot chocolate and hot apple cider... Perfect for the cold January morning. Overall we liked this place and highly recommend it.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Booked a reservation and had no issues…read more Shared the apple pie margarita, which was dangerously good. Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Ordered the cracklin wings--got the ghost pepper dry rub which was recommended by the staff who also reassured me that it wasn't too spicy given that it was also sweet and came with ranch. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Ambience is great, perfect for a nice meal for a date or hangout. Overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion due to all the good food choices and staff who know how to treat birthday guests well.

I told him I would arrive within 40 mins and he said to just walk-in. The website says this is fine dining so for someone to answer the phone and discourage reservations was skeptical. When we arrived we were told since we didn't have reservations we had to sit outdoors. Now the forecast said rain in 10mins. So we told the lady at the desk that I spoke to the man that also at the door about reservations. She said no problem we waited about 10 minutes and we were seated. Our waitress Abby was amazing! I wanted a wellness drink and they were all out but she suggested other mocktail options. She then asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling bottle water. I was confused that they don't have filtered water. We got the tap and it smelled like sewer. We then asked for a bottle of sparkling water. And realized the glass cups smelled bad. If you want a wellness drink arrive early when they open around 11am. It was 1pm when I ordered my food. I ordered the Farmer's breakfast, it came with Two eggs any style, choice of crispy bacon or chicken sausage, grilled sourdough, potatoes. The potatoes were crumbs and left overs, a scoop of potatoes. For a $19 meal I couldn't believe what I was being served. The chicken sausage was amazing! The sourdough bread was grilled with no oil or butter. I asked for jelly thinking they would have compote. Instead they have mini jars of jelly. The main difference is that jam is a shelf-stable, fruit-puree preserve made with high amounts of sugar and added pectin. Compote is a chunkier, less sugary fruit sauce cooked quickly without pectin and meant to be eaten fresh. My husband had the Last Chicken Sandwich, which he said was good but the sandwich didn't come with a side just a $18 chicken sandwich that tasted wonderful.

She was hesitant to choose this place at first because she wanted more options than just burgers/sandwiches. Thankfully we found some Google images of the menu that had rice bowls. Friend ordered a salmon rice bowl and I ordered their famous donut burger. I thought the donut was a little too small and skinny for the price at $14. Also, this is a big kicker--no fries or sides! Within the burger, just a square of Kraft cheese, some bacon, smash burger type patty (2) but no onions, tomatoes or even cucumbers (or pickles). The value is just not it for this. Did it taste good? It did but I needed more of a crunch. Just 1 or 2 slices of raw onion would've been good. Oooooh or like crispy haystack onion straws would be perfect. Server said fries were an additional $5. Okay, no thanks! The place was really loud. It echoed slightly and just the clientele were extremely rowdy on a non-holiday Wednesday evening. It took a while to get seated, for server to even come over to take our order and to request our check. Not very impressed with the experience.

No Fork Beachwood is a restaurant in Beachwood. It used to be a very casual establishment until…read morerecent innovations. It now looks like a sit down restaurant with a bar and ample seating. I didn't even recognize it at first from my previous visit. While the restaurant has a nice new face, I wasn't impressed with my time here. AMBIENCE: The restaurant has a posh new look. It's one open space with plenty of natural light. The front of the restaurant has booths and tables. The bar is towards the back. Decor includes faux marble, white and red tones, occasional neons and No Fork wall. The decor doesn't quite go together. The atmosphere is very casual. The entry to the restaurant is awkward. The front door does not open due to some issue with concrete. Only the back door is available for entry. The back of the building has random garbage. The back of the restaurant stacked boxes. It's not a welcoming entrance. FOOD: I ordered Donut Burger ($13.75) and Smash Burger ($13.75). Burgers do not come with any sides like fries. There are really no sides to add from the menu unless you want to try appetizers (or shareables on the menu). Donut Burger is a creative concept but has poor execution. In theory, it would be a great idea for someone who is craving sweet and savory morning options. The donut tasted stale, cheese low grade, and skinny bacon that was not restaurant grade. Smash burger was on the dry side and not appetizing. The ingredients are not high quality. It really impacts the quality of the meal. These burgers are the equivalent of something that I would expect at a fast food place not a restaurant. The menu also features shareables, Philly, pi boys, wraps, and comfort dishes. SERVICE: The service wasn't impressive. I have to give credit where credit is due - food was cooked quickly (maybe 10 minutes). Other than that, there was no customer focus. No one asked me if I wanted anything to drink (even water) as I waited for my to go order at the bar. No one explained the menu to offer shareables to go with burgers. Employees were more interested in looking at their phones and socializing. PARKING: Parking is available at the front and back of the plaza. There is plenty of space. Overall, I wasn't impressed with my experience at No Fork. The food was not delicious and seemed to utilize the cheapest ingredients. The service was mediocre. If you're looking for casual bites with a bar option, try it out. Unfortunately, I didn't find any reasons to return.
