I've got the regular bowl with falafel, and my husband the plate with falafel and crunchy chicken. Everything was very flavorful, the spicy sauces were really spicy, so I'm glad I got both on the side. This way I could dose the level of spice needed. The pita that comes with both meals was very good. The only complaint is the couscous, which had no flavor whatsoever. I also wish there were more fresh veggies you can pick for your bowl. Good food at a good price! My coworker and I picked up lunch to go at the Independence Naf Naf Grill location. This was my first time having Naf Naf. I ordered a chicken stuffed pita with everything in it ($8.50) and a side of fries ($3). My bag of fries was barely half full which was a big bummer. But they are pretty tasty and I can see me making a pit stop at Naf Naf just to get a bag of fries when I get a craving. Even though there weren't many fries in the bag, they are definitely cheaper and tastier than McDonalds! The Baba on the pita tasted a bit odd, like it's been sitting out for a while, which is unfortunate because my pita sandwich was absolutely drenched in Baba. The chicken was very good. Once I got past the Baba that covered it, I found chicken pieced that were well cooked and generously seasoned. The side sauces are also fabulous! I tried the spicy zhug but mainly dipped my fries in the nafziki, i.e., tzatziki. Lastly, the pita was fluffy and fresh but doesn't hold a candle to the pillow-y delights Taza's in Woodmere has. We've probably ordered delivery from Naf Naf nearly ten times over the last year already. With no adequate middle eastern food in the area, Naf Naf is the closest we've come to fulfilling that craving - reasonably priced, solid portion sizes, delicious dressing options, and the fluffiest pita bread. My only gripe is that the portion ratios are nearly drastically different every time. I typically order rice/hummus bowl with crispy chicken, chopped salad, sumac onions, pickles, tahini, garlic sauce, and some zhug on the side. There are times the bowl only has a smidge of hummus with the base mostly being rice, and others the other way around; one other time, the predominant ingredient was onions. But when the ratio is just right, my god it's good. How does it compare to other middle eastern-esque fast food establishments in the area? I'd say Naf Naf is comparable, and in some ways, slightly better than sittoos and infinitely better than Aladdin's. Won't be long before we order again! read more

It has taken me too long to visit Naf Naf Grill. Sadly, the one that I was planning on visiting was closed permanently. Yet, it had only been open a couple of years. So I visited this location instead as there are none nearby my home. I ordered a bowl with hummus, chicken, veggies, tatziki, and some hot sauce. I mixed it all up, like I should, and gobbled it all up. It was very tasty. The hot sauce left an excellent aftertaste in my mouth for a good while. The pita bread was flavorless and I wasn't really a fan of the texture. I'll try something different next time, as I explore the menu. I really like that this food is tasty and healthy. You can choose 2 proteins and the plate includes, rice, pickles, tahini, and a very small helping of a relish-like finely chopped vegetable "salad". We tried the steak, chicken schwarma, crispy chicken and other "protein" and added sides of extra falafel and garlic sauce with pitas. All were very good. We would order these again. They also have rice bowls and other bowls. The 2 kinds of baklava desserts are small but tasty. Service: 3/5. Really don't want to be the bad guy who writes the bad review among many really good ones...but here I am and I really cannot bring myself to give them a 3. Maybe a 2.8 but not enough to round up. It wasn't that it was even bad it just wasn't very good. The flavors were just meh and then the sauces... sauce can make almost anything better but they were not good either. Specifically the tahini sauce which is a staple in this type of food was not good at all. I got a bowl with chicken, couscous, hummus and then picked toppings. Also tried the steak with the rice. The fries were the best thing I had and they were really good but heres the thing I dont go to middle eastern places to eat fries. I'd like to give them a better rating I just wouldn't recommend any of my friends to go there and I don't see myself ever going back so I can't. Sorry for being the bad guy, just really underwhelmed. I've heard good things about this place, so I went in really hoping to be blown away. I was not. My SO and I visited about 8:30 on a Thursday night before heading to a movie. My SO got chicken, couscous, chopped salad, onions, and red harissa. We ordered naf fries to share, a couple falafel to try, and some baklava. My biggest issue is that our food was room temperature, bordering on cold. Like if you put your leftovers in the fridge and then realized a few minutes later that you actually still wanted them. It probably would have been pretty decent if it wasn't for that. The fries were pretty solid, as they were prepared fresh. My SO didn't care for the thickness of his pita. I actually liked it. We were both disappointed in the falafel. They were small for the price and pretty crispy/hard. The salted caramel baklava was good times though. Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed. I loved getting Naf Naf for lunch when I lived in Chicago so I was so happy to find a location in Cleveland! I only wish it was closer to where I live. Normally, I would order a falafel pita, but their pita oven was out of service, which was a bummer, but they had plenty of signs posted to inform you. So I went with a hummus falafel bowl and a chicken schnitzel bowl with couscous. The chicken schnitzel was super fresh because they fried it when we ordered, and the falafel tasted fresh too. I've been dying to try this for ages after my Saudi Arabian ex-boyfriend recommended it to me and it did not disappoint! We were in town for a visit at the Cleveland Clinic and ate here on both days. The Naf Fries are amazing! They're the perfect amount of crispy and the way the potatoes are cut makes for a very delicious fry. We loved to dip them in the garlic sauce. My mom got the bowl as she is Gluten Free and can't have the pita. The chicken shawarma is delicious but the falafel could be better--that's my only complaint. Always receive the best service from 2 ladies I see every time. I overheard the young lady call the other mom, so imagine they are mother and daughter. I usually order the crispy chicken which I am always aware takes longer as it is made on demand. On my most recent visit (today), my order took a little longer than usual because they were very busy. I didn't mind waiting because I could tell they were busy, but the staff went above and beyond to make it up to me. I was offered a complimentary drink cup initially. After about 10 minutes the mom (manager I presume) offered to remake me a fresh plate and give me the first one for free. I waited another 5-10 minutes and they ended up offering me both for free. I couldn't help but offer to pay for the first one because I wanted to tip them for their hard work. The whole staff continued to be apologetic for the wait but I assured them I did not blame them. While I was waiting I overheard the young lady field a phone call from a customer who had recently picked up a to-go order. They complained an item was missing and the young lady offered to drive to the customers house and drop it off which she proceeded to do. I was amazed by this customer service! I have waited longer at places like chipotle for no apology whatsoever or offer to make it right. At no point did I not see any of the workers not doing something so I couldn't be upset about the longer than normal wait. So you can pick lettuce, hummus, saffron yellow rice, or couscous. Next is your protein, which is falafel, beef or chicken shawarma. They have actual meat spits for the shawarma, which is the correct way to cook the meat for this style. This is followed by choosing your topping(s), which include pickles, onions with ground sumac (something you don't see at a lot of places!), cabbage, cucumber and tomato mix, and a variety of sauces. I especially love their orange colored tart mango sauce-a little tart and a little spicy! It's very clean inside, and the people behind the counter have always been very friendly. Love Naf Naf! It's a fast casual chain which can best be described as a Middle Eastern Chipotle. The food is super fresh and the portions are very generous! You order at the counter or you can place your order from their nifty Naf Naf app! The app lets you sign up for their Naf Perks rewards program too. You can choose from a pita sandwich or a variety of bowls, much like Chipotle. I've always ordered a bowl because they come with a side of pita bread anyway. Super soft and fluffy pita I might add! You can pick a base of couscous, basmati rice, salad, or hummus, followed by chicken shawarma or steak or your protein or falafel. Then comes your veggie toppings and choice of sauces. Harissa (a red chili sauce) is probably my favorite, but I usually mix it up with that and the garlic sauce. They also have baklava for dessert and lentil soup and fresh chips too, but I haven't partaken in any of those...yet. The employees are very friendly and will gladly let you taste some sauces if you're not sure what you'd like. They'll have you in and out in a hurry.
