Looks like a butcher shop, and it is. The few scattered tables invite you to take a seat and enjoy a freshly butchered sandwich and a game of cards. Sandwiches are fresh and big. Counter folk are nice and fast.

This place is great! I came for lunch and had the barbacoa tacos and brussels slaw. The guys working we're friendly, and they have a large selection of beer, wine and NA options as well.

Where should I even begin. Ookay.... the first time getting this food today... and I'm sad as heckkkk! The taco that was suppose to have all this in it had NOTHING basically.. The taco was suppose to have - spicy beef barbacoa, lime crema, cilantro, pickled radish, chihuahua cheese, flour tortilla It basically had ground beef in it. The crema was not even equally portioned or put on correctly. It looked dry! NO CILANTRO NO PICKLED RADISH, and ONE little piece of shredded cheese like what?!?!? The German potato was Sour and had no other taste.... the potato was hard like it was raw.. The green beans were hard too and had spicy horseradish sauce all over it. Which was not mentioned it was gonna be spicy when ordered it. After a long day at work I wanted to get some good food and seeing that this restaurant had 4.5 stars to try it..... and this disappointment happens..... NOT HAPPY AND PROBABLY NOT GOING BACK THERE AGAIN! AND WONT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Best Brisket Everrr! Seriously their brisket is very tasty. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. This place has alcohol for sale, is a butcher shoe and sells BBQ. There are a few tables if you would like to eat here. We had the brisket and barbracoa. The brisket is worth trying and I would highly recommend next time I would not opt for the barbracoa but would get something else instead. There are different sauces you can put on your meat there and I enjoyed being able to sample the different sauces/flavors. Great spot to grab a quick lunch.

Thanks for the Father's Day steaks. We'll definitely be back for more. The set up: butcher shop, wine store, lunch spot. The Butcher's Pantry is the exact shop that the south east side didn't know they needed. I know your routine. You decide it's steak night, so you run to Heinen's or Giant Eagle or Sam's Club / Costco, pick the steaks up with the rest of your groceries. You like the convenience of the one stop shop. What I'm asking you to do is experience something different. Getting your steaks at the big box is like having a roofer install your kitchen cabinets...I mean sure they can do it, but why not get someone that specializes in it? Specifically grass fed, antibiotic free beef. We ended up selecting 4 strip steaks. The unfortunate predicament is that the selection is smaller at the Butcher's Pantry. We originally asked for ribeye, but they were out for the day. They did have T-Bones (monster T-Bones) and the strip steaks. Seasoned with salt and pepper and garlic powder at home. Grilled to medium, medium-rare. Magnificent. Tender. Best I've had. The Butcher's Pantry also offers sandwiches and tacos, along with potato chips and cold beer!! We got the turkey club, not knowing what to expect, and loved it. It had thick, tender turkey, not the shaved I've come to expect. It is served in the same paper wrap as the the steaks. My only complaint is that they can improve the presentation. The sandwich was perfectly greasy, but even more so from the protective wrap. Beers on tap were ice cold and feature a relatively local selection from Mad Tree. They also offer selections for processing a whole/half cow or pig for your home freezer.

    Brisket is perfect.

Great Yelp find when I was in town on business. Would be back, wine club looks great too.

Best sweet potato fries I have ever had. The seasoning on them is amazing. The smash burger was also wonderful!

I always seek out the locally owned, non-chain spots with a lot of cars in the parking lot when not in a familiar place, and Glenwillow fit the bill. We walked in and were a little surprised by how fancy the dining room was - white tablecloths and a very nice ambiance, I almost felt underdressed - but there were guys in work uniforms at a table, and we made our way to the equally impressive bar area. I can only speak to the lunches we had and what we saw some out of the kitchen, but I'd love to go back for a dinner date. Lobster bisque was delicious and came in a large bowl. We both had salads, he the greens and I the Caesar "side" salads. They were huge - these weren't the lunch menu salads, mind you - just supposed sides. I'm not sure I could've eaten anything other than soup with a salad that size! We saw burgers (also massive) and "Flatbreads" that were more the size of a medium pizza delivered to the patrons around us and all appeared excellent. Definitely recommend for lunch, and hope to experience a dinner there soon!

In the past year, their food service has tanked. Every time we go there and order any type of food, it takes 45-60 minutes for it to come out of kitchen. Last night we ordered a quesadilla, chili, and a baked potato--that's it!--and we didn't get served our food for at least 45 minutes after ordering it. Sadly, my husband and I are now in search of a new favorite spot.

The location has undergone some positive decor changes in the past year or so. It is much more welcoming than it was before and just feels like a place to be comfortable. Maybe it is the bar stools that make that happen. :) Best bar stools around! The afternoon crew that sits on the corner by the garage door is a great group of people who welcome in anyone to join their group and just have some fun conversation. It gets pretty comical with those guys, so be prepared. Speaking of the garage door...it opens to a very large deck area that can get pretty busy during the summers. There is a good amount of seating out there as well as some patio furniture to just sit down and relax. Inside is mostly high top tables, but there are a lot of booths for people who like that type of seating. The group of bartenders and servers are quality at this point. They do their jobs quickly, and want you to enjoy yourself.

When the best things you can say about an eating establishment is "My server was very friendly and…read morenice...when she decided to come by the table" or "Oh, yeah, they have one of my favorite, rare beverages on tap"...that's just not good overall. Definitely a sports bar with a bunch of people there for the games but the lighting was a little too low and the volume a tad too high for my preference. Not because people were cheering, but that's just how it was. I will say they had a truly eclectic array of patrons...hippies, yuppies, blue collar, white collar...that was cool to see. Now the food...their fold over (think all things pizza without the crust) was good but the Italiano Philly...though amazing in thought...not so much in execution. The amount of toppings was great but on such little bread that you couldn't pick it up without the lettuce and tomatoes falling off. Normally not an issue but the Philly was loaded with such salty ingredients that without the "salad" the sandwich was so salty that it literally burned my tongue and throat. It took 20 minutes to receive both tap drinks...the first one came at 5 minutes. The other took 15. It was about 40 minutes until the food came out. Cold. Flaccid, unseasoned fries. Disproportionate sandwich. An hour for subpar food and service....that's just not my thing.
