    One regular Gyro
    Daniel O.

Tomatoes are just small, diced tomatoes less than 10 cubes(not wedges as shown in picture) . No seasoning on pita or tomatos. We asked for no onions. :) they did not add, Thankyou. Tastes like the bag of gyro from Costco. I was not impressed with the quality of meat... very dry, and seems like it was made another day ago. The portion of Meat is a lot, but the quality is not. I purchased three regular gyros,(almost $40) and for the price I paid I probably would not be going back. They did not have any additions. Just the three gyros, no fries no sides nothing else for $36.24 Also our kids did not like the seasoning of the food they did not eat 1 bite.(under 5years of age) The taZieke sauce was missing something, but it tasted fresh. Also, if you have any kind of lactose issue, stay away from the sauce, you will be occupied for the next hour or two. :P lol Enjoy!

Size was pretty decent for a Jumbo. Pretty Good taste wise. Service was Good. Made my order quickly since it was slow. Pickles there are the Dill Kind. Not a fan of those. Would order the Jumbo New Yorker again

    Veggie sub with fried shrooms.

Open til 4:00 a.m. on a Saturday? Whaaat? I don't have to go to Denny's!? Even better! Freshly's is known for their gyros and corned beef. You gotta watch the sizes when ordering, though. The jumbo size really ain't playing around, homie! You'll have 2 meals easy. We dined in the quaint little dining area that overlooks the traffic of Euclid Ave. The staff was cool and our food was out quickly. Of course my hubby ordered a gyro, the regular size. And he still couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I ordered the veggie sub. It was tasty, but pretty much a salad on a bun. It came with a veggie soup which was enjoyable and not overlay salted. I just thought the sub was a bit pricey for $9.00. I'm grateful that they had vegetarian options, but I wouldn't go outta my way for this one in particular. Now their baklava was fantastic! And their breaded mushrooms with horsey sauce, yes please! Overall, I'd return.

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

The prices were astronomical so my daughter and I just ordered meatballs and potato wedges. I really wanted fish but there was only ONE fish dish on the menu and I didn't like how it was going to be prepared. There's a big disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says "no substitutions or modifications". Geez, for a $40 fish plate you couldn't have modified it for me?? The meatballs were good, but came out luke warm. The wedges were good. The atmosphere was nice. For 3 meatballs, 5 potato wedges, and a 15% tip (she lost 5% due to not asking us for drinks) our bill came to $45. I *wish* I was joking. We won't be back. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off.

The season is escaping us we have yet to have a meal at the chagrin tavern. It was surprisingly not busy so we were able to score a table right on the patio coming up on sunset. Our lovely server is named Emma and I want to give her 17 Stars because she is an amazing server and they're very lucky to have her. Emma was quick with the drinks and she did mention that they may or may not be out of the French dip which I get is a standard anytime a restaurant offers it. She did confirm that they were able to serve the dip and offered up the lobster tater tots which were interesting but I did not eat all of them because I wanted to enjoy them later for snack so I did take a couple home. The only reason for four out of five stars is that the French dip was exceptionally stringy and fatty and I felt they could have done a much better job of trimming up the meat prior to serving. My wife really enjoyed her fish tacos but she is very averse to onions and was not aware that it came loaded with pico which of course is half onions. But our lovely server Emma was quick with the refill and we learned a little bit about her life and how much she really loves serving at the tavern. I did have my wife's 50th birthday party here a few years ago but it's a tad out of the way from our house so we don't come here that often. However the slow season is upon us and it is actually a very enjoyable establishment we will be back
