Tomatoes are just small, diced tomatoes less than 10 cubes(not wedges as shown in picture) . No seasoning on pita or tomatos. We asked for no onions. :) they did not add, Thankyou. Tastes like the bag of gyro from Costco. I was not impressed with the quality of meat... very dry, and seems like it was made another day ago. The portion of Meat is a lot, but the quality is not. I purchased three regular gyros,(almost $40) and for the price I paid I probably would not be going back. They did not have any additions. Just the three gyros, no fries no sides nothing else for $36.24 Also our kids did not like the seasoning of the food they did not eat 1 bite.(under 5years of age) The taZieke sauce was missing something, but it tasted fresh. My friend ordered a pound and a half of corned beef for St. Patrick's Day sandwiches, and the owner charged him $21 for the pound and $12 for the half pound. How is that possibly fair! We dined in the quaint little dining area that overlooks the traffic of Euclid Ave. The staff was cool and our food was out quickly. Of course my hubby ordered a gyro, the regular size. And he still couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I ordered the veggie sub. It was tasty, but pretty much a salad on a bun. It came with a veggie soup which was enjoyable and not overlay salted. Looking for something different for Lunch. I really wanted a gyro so headed for Arby's. While heading to my vehicle one of my co workers told me that a should try out Freshly's. I was able to find the deli and went in to try the gyro. This is a combination gyro and deli. The selection of gyros where not limited to the traditional gyro style. You have a meat selection from chicken, gyro meat, and steak. It comes in traditional style to Cajun spices. The everyday special is a sandwich with a free side. So my eyes are bigger than my belly and I ordered the jumbo. This thing was every bit a jumbo. It contained so much meat that trying closing the pita bread was like zipping your pants on Thanksgiving. It just aint going to happen. I made a valiant effort but ended up pulling the pita bread off and eating it with bites of the meat. the Tzatziki sauce pulled it all together. It was awesome. Since I was doing take out I had the potato salad not sure how the fries would hope in the cold. The lunch was awesome and I am definitely going back to work my way through the menu offerings. They aren't called "Freshly's" for no reason! I had an order delivered Athen gyro, wings, fries, slaw and a Greek salad in which all were made to perfection! Fries were crispy and perfect, gyro was absolutely delicious, wings were perfectly sauced and still crispy! Do yourself a favor and if you are craving a gyro in the area, pay them a visit, I promise they will not disappoint. My soul mate said NO, when I told him I wanted Freshlys for lunch. He said it's not the same, their standards went down hill.. I wish I listened to him. But stubborn as I am I happily paid for $30+ for 2 meals. Regret will always hit you while you are in the process, and dissatisfaction plus disappointment happily came with it. It used to be so amazing. The first time my soul mate brought me here, the food was unbelievably amazing, that was 8 years ago. Now it's just disappointing. First, I ordered the broccoli and cheese bites. Crispy on the outside, FROZEN on the inside. When we asked them if it's supposed to be that way, they said they will make another one for us. With the added remark from one of them: "I don't know what's wrong with it, it's perfect." Which my soul mate shot back: I don't know man, you're supposed to be the cook.( SIDE NOTE: We know you (the cook) want us to hear that comment, that's why you said it loud, you didn't expect for us to be louder.) Seriously they should know. These bites are mostly frozen before hand as not to loose shape. So either they got their oil too high and dunked the frozen bites, or they rushed it. I would like to go with they rushed it. They brought out the supposedly better batch, nope, still frozen in the iinside. We didn't bother with those. Next is their main product, their gyro meat. The meat is greasy, and I've been to a lot of amazing gyro places. Gyro is meant to be juicy, not greasy. The juices is supposed to flavor the pita, not slide off and flow out like cooking oil. The tzatziki which I used to be so obsessed with to the point that I almost wanted to buy an entire jug, is not the same. It has a texture of a cold sour cream with seasoning and a little dill. The flavor and viscosity from the tzatziki of yester years were gone. Tzatziki is supposed to be creamy and fluid enough that you can pour it out from the Dixie cup on top of your gyro and not scoop it out like mayo. We asked for our onions and tomatoes to be on the side like the tzatziki. The onions for sure were not cut fresh. They didn't have any bite to them. So it's either old or they didn't store it properly. The coleslaw and potato salad is subpar. The only great thing we enjoyed are the bottles of root beer and orange cream soda. As I enjoy food, good food, and I HATE food waste, I did eat most of it, except for the brocolli bites, coleslaw and we didn't event want to touch the potato salad . Growing up in an Asian household we were taught to at least try but never come back there again. Another note, for the staff, if you will give an aura that you don't want customers, please close your kitchen. That frustrated look of: "Christ!, here's another one." causes indigestion. A smile goes a long way. Even if you greet us but then give us facial expressions of not wanting to be there, yeah no thanks. Besides food, you are selling an experience. Which you all failed today. It's really sad that the standard on both business and food is not the same anymore. I even asked my soul mate if maybe they changed staff, and he said the two men at the back cooking were the same people and he had come back to Freshlys couple more times thru out the years before this latest visit. Very dissapointing. The only good thing were the fries, and those were average. I ordered the inferno gyro. It has about 2 jalapeño slices and hardly any hot sauce. The pizza slice in the kids meal was soggy and had fries stuck in the cheese, and cheese stuck all over the container. My wife said the corn beef sandwich was average. Very expensive for the quality! I've been to Freshly's twice in the last two weeks and probably 20 other times over the years and just forgot to check in. Lol I haven't tried everything here because can't stop trying my favorites. My first addiction is the Athens Gyro! OMG! Onions, tomato, with feta cheese and balsamic vinaigrette sauce. Dude! I can't say no. The fries are actually really good. Better than Wendy's and McDonald's I think. My second addiction with great surprise are the cheeseburgers!! I was totally shocked as to how good they are! Discovered I was given an imcomplete order when I got home. Called the store the next day, talked to the owner who only offered a couple bucks off the next order. When I said that was unacceptable he started swearing at me and then hung up. Celled him back and said did you really just hang up on me, yep and hung up again. There are too many good places to get take out, apparently this guy has all the business he needs, i won't be back. And reading other reviews the place sure seems like it's going downhill fast. read more

Unbelievable. So good I'm not even done with my meal and I'm leaving a review. My fiancé said I had to try it so we just stopped here. The kitchen is immaculate. Every product label is facing out. Not a single piece of trash on the floor. Every shelf and piece of kitchen equipment is squeaky clean. The fries tasted like the oil was just changed ten minutes ago. Gyros were perfect. If you want to know if a late night sandwich shop is worth visiting, here's a tip: when you go in, look up. If it has a suspended ceiling (most places will), check the tiles and the metal ribs suspending them. Are they clean? The smoke and grease will fly up there, and you have to get a ladder to get it off. Are they broken? (The ones here are pretty good-- four stars-- but there is some grod visible.) Next, look at the fan hood, back by the grill. That gets a ton of spatter, and it gets baked on fast due to the heat. (I couldn't see anything.)Are the rotisseries for the gryos clean? (Yup) Bathrooms are good ways to tell if something's wrong (Freshly's were spotless), but everyone knows about those. Those two things tell you how much the owner cares about the little things. Freshly's cares a lot. My wife and I showed up at 11 AM on a Saturday-- we were picking up a car down the block, and this had good reviews. There were three people on duty-- the owner, his pre-teen son (who was being instructed on the best way to do every task as dad did it) and the owner's brother. I did ask, but it was obvious-- when I told the guy behind the counter we'd never been there before and would need a few minutes to figure things out, he went through the menu with such obvious pride that I knew. He said they were most famous for the gyros and the corned beef. We like both, so my wife got a jumbo gyro; I took the New Yorker (grilled rye bread, with cheese and cole slaw). I've eaten so many of both sandwiches that I can spot fine details. The gyro meat tasted different; I assumed they were adding either rub or a marinade. Turns out it's a custom spice blend they developed, that the gyro meat supplier does as a special order. Very nice. Both the onions and the tomato were diced, which made it a little tough to eat (it would fall out). My wife ended up eating it with a fork. The tzatziki (yearo sauce) wasn't spicy (not a lot of garlic or herbs), but very tasty. My New Yorker had some design issues. It didn't come with mustard (and the mustard they had was yellow and in packets, so I didn't ask). The layer of slaw was a little thin; the vegetables were chopped, which meant it fell out during consumption . The dressing was very good, however. The flavor in corned beef comes from the fat. Freshly's corned beef contains much more fat than the ridiculously-lean stuff most places do. This means it is very juicy and flavorful. But it's cut a little too thickly, which means you have to chew it more than you would Slyman's or Joe's (they use the same process), Superior Deli or Mr. Brisket. It's still very good. If I went back (we live 50 minutes away), I might try to buy a couple of pounds to mean. I'd grind it to use in hash; I have no doubt it would taste perfect. The sides were terrific. My wife normally doesn't eat cole slaw; she took it home and hoovered it. I liked the taste and would have loved it had it been shredded. The potato salad was better. Big chunks of potatos, creamy dressing (not just gobs of mayo). I'd have loved it more with some additional spice and some onions and garlic-- but a sandwich shop doing a lunch business for office workers can't do that. You get a free side withe every sandwich; the others included baked beans and a cup of soup. The soup is homemade; dunno about the beans. You can get a small order of fries for a buck before 10 PM. My advice: DO THAT. They're lightly battered and crispy. My wife normally doesn't take fried home. These she did. The pickles were large, but ours were limp. (A lot of dill in these guys). The drinks were all in cans or bottles; the ones we grabbed were not very cold. A glass with ice would have been better-- but they're a take-out/delivery place, so of course that doesn't work. They have four tables and 12 chairs; they were happy enough to have us sit there. I don't imagine many people do. Various notes: the juniors are a quarter-pound, the regulars are half a pound and the jumbos are 3/4.They deliver-- and the women delivering looked like someone's wife or sister. The plastic forks are the expensive kind-- they kind you get for your barbecue, not the cheap stuff. And every menu item seemed to have a special touch. When I', in the neighborhood next, I'd try the rotisserie chicken (they use a special marinade) or a couple of the burgers. I told the guy when his son is older, he should let him open a second location-- maybe in Fairview Park or North Olmsted. I liked this a lot. read more

Everything they have is from GFS or Sam's Club but they will claim that it's homemade. The gyro /corned beef flavors are very limited to the Cajun sauce,Hot Sauce and BBQ. They will over charge on everything and screw you over on the lunch fries special and free side if you don't ask for it. Just make sure if you do happen to get something delivered from here that you tip the driver decent because they only give the drivers 1.50$ per delivery ( no hourly wage). read more

Yum! First time trying this even though I've lived here for awhile now. The broccoli cheese poppers are giant and so good! I wasn't sure what Freshly's sauce was so I got a side of it. Think a more mild version of blooming onion sauce, or even similar to Burger King zesty sauce. Really good. Philly cheesesteak was yummy too, next time I wouldn't add lettuce and tomatoes, it didn't need it. Only critique would be to add more options to the online ordering system.
