Cool casual dining option in Downtown Willoughby. The overall vibe is a mix between a paninis sports bar and healthy Indian spot. I got the karma bowl, and added a few things from the chakra bowl plus salmon. My salmon piece was especially tiny, especially to be a $12 add on. Nevertheless, my bowl of veggies had more flavor than I expected. It was cooked with a good amount of oil, but was red too greasy. My friend got the salmon dish, which was pretty much the same thing that I got but the salmon was much bigger. I did really enjoy the balsamic glaze on my dish. I also got the saraswati mocktail, a non-alcoholic sangria. It was okay. Service was good.

Excellent! As I'm giving this place 5 stars, I am thinking that I should review a lot of my other reviews down. So, this one is "a true 5". Very nice indoor and outdoor dining areas with a relaxed vibe. They have a great music playlist that fits the relaxed vibe. I enjoyed the patio in the back on a beautiful summer night. The service was friendly and efficient. I had the Karma Bowl with added chicken. It was delicious. They have a nice list of cocktails and the bars are simple but comfortable. You have to try their cupcakes of the day. I'm not Arnold but I'll be back.

I live no where near Willoughby, where Sage Karma is located so I took advantage of being in the area to eat at this somewhat-new healthy, hipster spot. It is located right in the heart of downtown Willoughby and was very popular and busy on a Thursday night. I felt lucky to be able to grab a single seat right away. There is an entire bar with a large drink menu but it feels weird to me to order alcohol when I'm dining out by myself so I ordered a Diet Dr. Pepper. The Diet Dr. Pepper tasted VERY STRANGE. I felt awkward explaining why I had to send it back, but I had no other choice. The Diet Coke my waiter sent out as a replacement tasted fine. I ordered Senior's Psychedelic Burger meal (which appears to be the least healthy option on the menu!) The waiter was very helpful in helping me decide which side to have. I love brussell sprouts but he told me that they are so deep fried and covered in salt that they weren't even close to healthy. I was already having a cheeseburger and did not want to completely clog my arteries. The vegetable of the day was something I already had for lunch that day so I settled on the sweet potato chips, the most popular side at Sage Karma. There ended up being a lot of sweet potato chips so who knows which option would have been healthier in the end? The chips were definitely homemade with some excess oily grease and a light dusting of salt. I liked them but maybe I should have tried a more unique, healthier side to my burger. My burger was a medium-rare burger with sautéed mushrooms on top. It was a big burger on a large white bun, topped with lots of gooey cheese and mushrooms. It was very delicious and exactly what I was expecting. The portions were bigger than the picture shows. Overall, my meal cost me a little over $20 which seemed about right but I can see that people who buy appetizers and alcohol would end up with a very hefty bill at the end. I don't think I'll make a special trip out to Sage Karma any time soon but I won't say no to trying something else on the menu if I'm in the area again!

Incredible!!! I loVe Sage! By far my favorite This restaurant is gluten free and mostly vegan with a couple meat dishes (locally sourced and grass fed) The Caesar salad, YES vegan and gf, is THEEEE BEST I've ever had! Try the creative drinks every one of them are great im sure, I like blueberry margarita and always a mimosa if it's before 2:00 Lol Seems like mostly woman and just a few male bartenders, everyone is nice and beautiful I might add. We like sitting outside when weather permits or at the bar inside. Don't miss this great place. Best kept secret!

The drinks were everything!

Lots of delicious gluten-free and vegan options that you can't get anywhere else, like chicken fingers and a nice atmosphere.

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

The prices were astronomical so my daughter and I just ordered meatballs and potato wedges. I really wanted fish but there was only ONE fish dish on the menu and I didn't like how it was going to be prepared. There's a big disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says "no substitutions or modifications". Geez, for a $40 fish plate you couldn't have modified it for me?? The meatballs were good, but came out luke warm. The wedges were good. The atmosphere was nice. For 3 meatballs, 5 potato wedges, and a 15% tip (she lost 5% due to not asking us for drinks) our bill came to $45. I *wish* I was joking. We won't be back. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off.

When you pull up it looks like a dive from the 1960's or a small Soviet bloc, not many windows and just a square little building, but you come inside and the people are inviting and friendly and the food is out of this world. If we were not looking for this place specifically, I know we would've driven right past it! It's a standalone little building and the only markings I saw outside was a little sign that said BAR. But it was 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and there were several cars in the parking lot, which is a good sign. The inside is really tiny. There's a large U-shaped bar and about six tables. We looked in the menu and opted for their famous Smashburger. It is $14 and comes with fries. It is a double patty cheeseburger. I did not want a burger that big so I opted for just one Patty. They said that was no problem, but the price was still the same. I also got onion rings, which were $3 more. The food came out really fast and you could tell it came right out of the fryer because the french fries were super hot! This place is called a dive bar, and I guess it is - but on a Saturday afternoon, the place was filled with all kinds of people. On one side of us was a family with little kids. On the other side of us was a couple in their 20s. And then the rest of the place was filled with people from every age group. I have to say that the music they play there is fabulous! But back to the food. The burger was seasoned really well! It is a smash burger, but they're still able to make it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Our server was really good. She did not hover, but she was around to see if you need anything. Depending on the vibe that you're looking for, if you want more of a bar vibe, you should go in the evening, but we were happy to just be in a relaxed little joint with good food. They opened up another Crowley's in Painesville so we will probably have to try that one too.

The one bartender with blonde super curly hair was wearing a stripper outfit and twerking with her barely there mini skirt and easy to see thong on for all the men at the bar. Not to mention the two handfuls of shots she did with other patrons only added to her belligerent behavior. The other bartender was clearly picking up the slack but was also drinking heavily. Both were very pleasant with us but not very attentive. Food was good. Witnessed multiple people coming to the bar and waiting to be served and leaving without being helped after several minutes. The bar was not that busy and had many open seats mind you. I will mention, I put myself through school being a bartender and I know that letting loose with regulars helped build lasting friendships but I could never imagine getting that intoxicated while at work. I'm hoping that the owners of this bar aren't loosing their asses on giving away merchandise. If I was the owner, I would literally fire everyone but the cook. if you want a freak show.... This is your place to go. BTW... giving 2 stars because my food was good and beer was cold.
