Deepfried pickles and loaded cheese fries

I can't say enough good things about this place they have a very diversified menu with something for everyone. I came here for a birthday one year they had lobster fest the lobster bisque was amazing. Huge chunks of lobster in a sweet creamy broth I'm not sure if it's a regular menu item I go around fall. Great view down near the river casual environment for a family gathering. Staff are also friendly and treat you right I need to come again it's been too long.

Lobster bisque and grilled cheese. Very nice.

yes. Yes. YES!!! First off, a beautiful patio and a really cool layout inside. A ton of old school beer signs and just a fun vibe. Secondly, the service was outstanding! We never waited for anything. And our server was just such a pleasant and knowledgeable lady. She even gave us some shopping tips for the area! Now, third, this is why it isn't 5 stars. My partner's lobster bisque and grilled cheese were perfect except it just needed a bit more spice. Alleppo pepper would have been chef's kiss. However, I had the prime rib hoagie with au jus. The fries were not salted at all and if you don't salt at the fryer the salt doesn't stick and they were about 2 minutes underdone. No one likes a flaccid French fry. And the prime rib had no seasoning at all. You tasted beef because you knew it was there. Otherwise it was bland as was the au jus. It was a bit pricey for the food not being spot on. Still, an overall great experience.

Very delicious lobster bisque

Arrive for lunch on a Saturday... Restaurant minimally to moderately crowded. Sunny day I just rained. Hostess seated us in the bar area and we requested to be in the outside area under the umbrella, which she complied with Server was congenial and attentive. She returned after five minutes to inquire about the meal. Proper server etiquette was trained as a server in my lifetime so I know this The meal that I chose was something that everyone raved about however, mine came different. There was very little top browning and very little butter, garlic sauce. The baked potato was delicious. The vegetables were delicious. The roll was delicious. I was truly disappointed in the main fish entree however I decided not to send it back. Felt gypped, but then there is this review and it does bring out the inconsistency and how people are being served Atmosphere Pleasant and casual many flowers and a lovely view of the river

Trader Jack's was a pleasant experience. After work on a Sunday I was out riding the motorcycle and thinking about a place to get dinner when I remembered Trader Jack's. I had ridden by many times when heading East along Lake Erie and paddled by as well when kayaking on the mouth of the Chagrin River so I figured I would give it a try. Located on Lake Shore Blvd. where it crosses the Chagrin River in Eastlake the location is excellent overlooking the river as it expands to meet Lake Erie. The decor is funky retro, but not overwhelming; the two covered patios provide extra space and a great place to hang when the weather is warm. Even though they were busy, I managed to snag a seat at the outdoor bar. Service by the bartender was good although she was busy and a bit scattered. The menu is a nice selection of American standards with emphasis on fish and seafood as benefits the riverside location. I went for the Jack's Fish Fry although I subbed the Mac and Cheese in place of the Coleslaw. The fish fry was two good sized cod fillets with a breading instead of the traditional batter, nicely cooked and very fresh. The fries were ok, and the Mac and Cheese was excellent with a creamy, cheesy white sauce that just needed a bit of hot sauce to make it really zippy. Overall a very good meal. Trader Jack's has a lot going for it, great location, relaxed atmosphere and a nice menu of well prepared food. If you are looking for place to chill and relax on a hot summer day you should put Trader Jack's on your list.

Is there handicap parking and seating availability, i.e. person with a walker?

You can park by the door and walk right in. There are no steps and tables in close proximity to the front door. I don't believe there should be a problem.

Nonna T's feels like hidden gem the moment you arrive. The restaurant is inside a converted…read moresingle-family home, which gives it such a cozy, intimate, old-school Italian feel--more like being invited into someone's home for dinner than eating at a typical restaurant. We started with the Italian wedding soup, which was warm, comforting, and delicious. For dinner, our table tried the Bolognese, chicken Madeira, tortellini, and spaghetti. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and the spaghetti looked like exactly what you hope for at a neighborhood Italian restaurant--a giant plate of pasta covered in red sauce with an enormous meatball in the middle. And when I say the portions are huge, I mean HUGE. There was no chance of ordering dessert because I could only finish about half of my entrée. The good news is that the other half became an entire lunch the next day, so basically this is dinner and meal prep in one. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had such a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food, generous portions, and genuinely good service. Come hungry--and plan on leaving with a box.

As someone else said, this is a real gem for Mentor, which is just packed with so-so places to eat. We went there for my wife's birthday dinner, and it was fantastic. The portions are huge. I lucked out as they had a ribeye special so I ordered that. I love a good rare steak, but too many places will either give you a raw steak or over done steak. Nonna knew what rare was, and it was done to perfection. One of the few places where no seasonings were needed on the steak. My wife got the chicken piccata and she loved that as well. Too much for her to eat in one sitting, but I will finish it off for lunch today. My wife's salad was perfect too. Too many places are downsizing their salads, and it was great to see this wonderful salad that was in a big bowl, with the small balls of fresh mozzarella on it. I had the Wedding soup with my steak, and the broth was so flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of the egg drops, but it was still really good. I know others love the egg drops. They also have this fresh bread that is amazing!!! Unfortunately, we were too stuffed for desert, so we didn't get to taste any of that. On the website it suggests to get a reservation, which we did. For a Tuesday evening, we might have been okay without one, but It's nice to see a place that takes reservations, especially when you don't want to wait for someplace. They do have some great looking pizza's too, which I think I might try next time. Certainly a keeper and a great place in Mentor.

The portion was quite a lot so I was glad that I'd didn't get an appetizer. I took some home and my husband enjoyed the next day. . The peach cocktail that I had was very tasty. (Can't remember the name) Our server was very pleasant and she had a lovely smile. The ambiance is very nice with a bar in the front and tables and tables in the back with a fireplace which provided a nice location for photographs. My reason for nit given a five star review is the fruit flies that we had wave away. For this upscale environment and prices, that was a bummer. Please check your bar fruit or kitchen fruit. This is not a pleasant experience for your diners. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to enjoy good food with friends. Highly recommend making reservations they did fill up quite a bit.

Now they are off Heisley Rd. near Rt2. That makes them very easy to get to and they have ample parking right out front. We made reservations for this Saturday night's outing. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who seated us promptly at a large comfortable table in a bright, roomy dining room. Soon after being seated a nice young man greeted us, informed us his name was Chris and introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately took our drink orders and gave us a few minutes to settle in and peruse the menu. The beverage menu was nicely diverse. It had a good selection of wines from multiple regions. I had a very nice Sangiovese. A short time later he returned with our drinks and a nice basket of wonderful crusty bread. He asked if we had any questions, then offered to take our orders. The main menu had a very good selection of offerings. Plenty to satisfy any and all palates. I started my meal with a shrimp cocktail. It arrived with 6 nice sized (2 bite) shrimp with an excellent cocktail sauce. My brother ordered 6 oysters that were nicely presented and had good flavor but were a bit on the small side. I followed up my starter by ordering the Lamb Lollipops from the starter menu. The lamp shank offering from the entre menu seemed to be too large a serving. The lollipops turned out to be perfect... both in size and in quality. They were meaty, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as I ordered. My wife ordered the sea scallops which came out excellent. My sister in law had the crab cakes and was very satisfied. Afterwards or server offered a selection of 3 different desserts and after dinner beverages. We had our usual coffee and included Creme Brule. Both were quite satisfying. In conclusion, we had a very pleasant evening. The establishment, service and food were all quite up to standards. We will definitely return. I recommend you do as well.

The restaurantvwas a little more casual than I envisioned, but we were seated right away. The hostess/server took our order and our entrees arrived a short time later. Each bento box comes with soup, salad, protein of choice, vegetables, noodles or rice, California sushi roll and 2 mini spring rolls, for just a little over $20. The serving was more than generous, the soup was a nice starter, the salad was crisp & fresh, nicely dressed with a tasty ginger dressing. The actual meal was very good, the veggies, were fresh, and perfectly cooked, along with our protein. The noodles were a little more cooked than I would have liked, I'd probably get fried rice the next time. The sushi roll was tasty, as was the spring rolls. The service before placing our order and after was virtually non-existent. The food came out quickly after ordering. The appetizers were nice. Light and crispy crab Rangoon and vegetable spring rolls. The ginger salad dressing was tasty. All of the sauces were thin and watery. The food itself was a bit on the bland side, if I'm being frank. We all got steak hibachi. The sushi was the star of the show. Go there for the sushi, if anything. Super fresh and tasty. I'm glad to have tried this restaurant, but I can't say I'd be going back anytime soon. The bathrooms were very clean, though. The ambiance quickly turned sour. It became an absolute ZOO at 5:30 on a Saturday. The tiny front lobby was piling up quickly. Karen had a scowl on her face. The music was obnoxiously loud, crappy 90s style. (Take it down about 20% there, chief!) It was like a nightmare loop, and I was glad to leave! For now, I'm going to stick with going to a more relaxed hibachi called Maki in Diamond Center. Thanks, anyway.
