Met friends for dinner here. We all had the chicken Marsala based on the rave reviews of my friend. We were all pleased with it. The portion was quite a lot so I was glad that I'd didn't get an appetizer. I took some home and my husband enjoyed the next day. . The peach cocktail that I had was very tasty. (Can't remember the name) Our server was very pleasant and she had a lovely smile. The ambiance is very nice with a bar in the front and tables and tables in the back with a fireplace which provided a nice location for photographs. My reason for nit given a five star review is the fruit flies that we had wave away. For this upscale environment and prices, that was a bummer. Please check your bar fruit or kitchen fruit. This is not a pleasant experience for your diners. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to enjoy good food with friends. Highly recommend making reservations they did fill up quite a bit. read more

It's been years since we visited Noosa Bistro. As a matter of fact I didn't even remember it until my wife reminded me we visited them when they were still located on Mentor Ave. near the Mentor Mall. Now they are off Heisley Rd. near Rt2. That makes them very easy to get to and they have ample parking right out front. We made reservations for this Saturday night's outing. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who seated us promptly at a large comfortable table in a bright, roomy dining room. Soon after being seated a nice young man greeted us, informed us his name was Chris and introduced himself as our server for the evening. He immediately took our drink orders and gave us a few minutes to settle in and peruse the menu. The beverage menu was nicely diverse. It had a good selection of wines from multiple regions. I had a very nice Sangiovese. A short time later he returned with our drinks and a nice basket of wonderful crusty bread. He asked if we had any questions, then offered to take our orders. The main menu had a very good selection of offerings. Plenty to satisfy any and all palates. I started my meal with a shrimp cocktail. It arrived with 6 nice sized (2 bite) shrimp with an excellent cocktail sauce. My brother ordered 6 oysters that were nicely presented and had good flavor but were a bit on the small side. I followed up my starter by ordering the Lamb Lollipops from the starter menu. The lamp shank offering from the entre menu seemed to be too large a serving. The lollipops turned out to be perfect... both in size and in quality. They were meaty, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as I ordered. My wife ordered the sea scallops which came out excellent. My sister in law had the crab cakes and was very satisfied. Afterwards or server offered a selection of 3 different desserts and after dinner beverages. We had our usual coffee and included Creme Brule. Both were quite satisfying. In conclusion, we had a very pleasant evening. The establishment, service and food were all quite up to standards. Visited Noosa for my wife's birthday and she was happy. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Excellent selection on the menu. We started with some calamari & a bruschetta. Both were excellent appetizers. My wife got the prime rib and loved it, said it was perfect. I enjoyed the soy ginger salmon and it was full of flavor. My daughter had the lamb rack and she raved. I'm surprised at some of the mediocre ratings. My daughter and I visited on a Friday, at lunch, and we truly enjoyed our meals. The food was definitely a 5, the service had a few hiccups, which brought the overall rating down, by 1 star. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the Holiday, and there was a company Christmas party in the main dining room, so seating was limited. We were seated at a high top in the bar area, which was fine. It appeared that the bartender was responsible for everyone in the bar area, but he was pretty efficient. We ordered lunch cocktails, a holiday mule and margarita. The margarita was STRONG, but tasty. We also ordered entrees. I ordered the veggie wrap with fries and my daughter ordered the mahi mahi sandwich and fries. Our food arrived a short time later. I received the veggie pizza, instead of the veggie wrap, in error. The server and bartender apologized and proceeded correct the order, and offered free dessert as an accommodation. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her sandwich. The veggie wrap was excellent, perfectly roasted veggies, nicely seasoned accompanied by thick, hand-cut fries....yum! We decided on the peanut butter parfait for dessert and received the key lime parfait, instead. The bartender immediately switched out the incorrect dessert for the correct one. My wife and I went to Noosa last night with friends. The establishment is well lit and apportioned. We had reservations so we were quickly shown to our seats. Our server was very attentive, young fellow who shared with us the evening specials and took our drink order. Our drinks came out quickly. They were good, but not terribly strong. The restaurant wasn't exceptionally busy and it did take a while for food to come out. My wife ordered a prime rib that looked pretty good but after a few bites, it really wasn't anything special. There has to be the right amount of seasoning for the bark around the prime rib before it to be good. There has to be a certain amount of marbling and her prime rib had very little. I ordered the burger because it is a combination of ground brisket and something else just sounded really good. My burger wasn't bad but again it was anything special. It was actually kind of dry and not terribly juicy. I ordered sautéed mushrooms and in my mind, I envisioned a pile of mushrooms, not just five or six. The highlight of the meal was the crème brûlée it was very good and had a hint of lemon. If I would've had some blueberries and strawberries, it would've been perfect. Noosa is not a bad place but it's not a great place either. This will not be a place high on my list that I would bring friends and family to. read more

The ambience is pretty good, a half way upscale joint that has nice dining in the back but more diner bar vibes up front. Menu has some pretty good options, and they have nice specials (sirloin meal and walleye fillet ~$20). Service was more upscale but not the most attentive. Food was good, not a ton of veggies in my portion of their swordfish risotto dish--which left me feeling unsatisfied appetite-wise after my meal. Swordfish had a nice cream sauce but otherwise was simply grilled, perhaps too much. But a good thick white meat with a mild flavor, if that is your preference. read more

Tried for the first time this week. Remember it from when it was on Mentor Ave, but had yet to try this location. Decided to sit at the bar. Atmosphere is nice, - bright and open. Started with happy hour apps of a house salad and lamb lollipops. Salad was great and perfect size w/a dinner. Lamb lollipops were good, but pricey for the portion. I ordered the chicken Marsala for dinner and husband ordered the surf and turf special which was a 12 oz ribeye with shrimp. The ribeye was good, but the cut was a little disappointing. It had a lot of slices in it - so wasn't a solid piece of steak. Was still delicious and cooked great (med rare). My Marsala was amazing and the sauce was soo good. I was surprised a salad didn't come with our meal. For an upscale restaurant- it just seemed odd to me. Overall was really good. Saving grace is the food, starting with the beat up, peeling front door, your expectations are lowered, once inside, outside of the white table clothes, it looks like family diner. Possibly painted by employees, divided by numerous half walls, that the trim looks like a garage project, nail holes, cracks, poorly put together, no warmth or class. Hostess sits us at a table that is actually 2, two topers, pushed together, with a 1 inch difference in height, ( careful with your drinks) my chair rocked like amusement park ride, the candle holder was cool and pretty, but was missing it's fake candle, even though the hostess walked by dozen or so lit ones, we got a working one ourselves. Being entised by the online menus and pictures of the food. It turned out most were out of date ( 2 tears server said). so much for what we came for..... the whole place shows a lack of detail, in maintenance, of the in and out of the building, every table and chair was rusty and scraped off paint at the base of the legs. After a reset, excepting it is what it is, and deciding to stay, We lucked out and got a good sever, polite, and efficient, although looked slightly embarrassed for having to apologies for all the owners lack of care and details, in the end the food was about a 7 or 8 , and our server gets a 9. Atmosphere and decor get a 3. No a true bistro, but true bistro pricing. I would suggest staff / owners make a trip to bistro 70, Painesville, and experience top notch. Food was pretty good. Why do you put paper over the tablecloths? I asked the question and I was told because they don't want to get the tablecloth dirty. So just eliminate the tablecloth all together because having paper on top of it makes it pointless. Seems like a dive bar trying to pose as a fine dining establishment. Specially when the waitress (named Bar N) is dragging a dirty mop bucket down the aisle to make sure we know it's time to leave. read more

We had a very nice meal, but it was not what we expected to have, based on the ON LINE MENU on the website. I was hoping to have a lovely halibut dinner, but that was not on the menu -- that's the second time this year that the menu did not match the on line posting. I did have the beet salad (which I enjoyed), and the starter scallops on zucchini fritters, also very good. Evidently, we experienced a change in shift during our 4:30 dinner time. We received our meal with no significant delay, but were not visited after meal delivery... we had to flag someone down to provide us with our bill. Obviously, there was no offer for dessert (which was ok since we did not require one}, but it showed a lack of service follow-up. The old Noosa on Mentor Avenue was our "go to" restaurant for special occasions. Given our several visits to the new location, it will be ok when we are in the area, but sorry to say that it would not fill the bill for our special outings in the future. read more

I just want to share that we just celebrated our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary at Noosa with party of about 30 which they accommodated with no problem! The manager was spectacular and made our parents so happy as everything they wanted he made sure it would be done! We felt like they were taking care of family! Our host's Kellie and Gage were phenomenal! We did not ever feel like we had to wait for anything! Kellie was absolutely fabulous and made every person feel welcomed! They made sure our parents were the star of the show and seamlessly took care of our every want and need! If you ever need a place to celebrate anything I would wholeheartedly recommend Noosa! The menu was phenomenal! ... Starters were Petite Noosa salad or Soup De Jour which tonight was Potato and Tomato Basil , the main course Filet, New York steak, Swordfish, Halibut, Rack of Lamb, Prime Rib, Fettuccine Alfredo W/Chicken....All served fresh Bread/butter. They allowed us to bring in our special dessert in addition to the Crème brûlée. They were so accommodating and it was so refreshing for a business to put their clients needs and wants first and make you feel like the star of the show. I went there twice during a business trip. The first time it was for dinner on a Monday night. I was surprised how crowded the place was. The hostess was overwhelmed and rushed the welcome. I sat at the bar. The bar staff were very quick and offered good service. It seems like there are a lot of regulars at the bar. The food was ok. I had a cup of beef soup which was very good. I had the Cajun pasta which was way too salty. The next I went again for lunch and had a chicken wrap which was ordinary. I liked the bar area better then the dinner area. Came in asked for a table for 4. When everyone arrived it was only 3. I let the bartender/server know when we got water. She finally came back took our drink order and I asked for bruschetta as an appetizer. She brought the drinks and asked if we wanted bruschetta and I said yes. ( I don't understand why she did not put it in). We finished the appetizers and drinks and sat waiting and watching the bartender talk to her friend at the bar. We finally gave up and stood up went to the bar and asked where I pay. One of the servers said it was our fault because she saw 4 glasses on the table and was waiting on someone else to show up (WHAT). But we have had enough. Noosa is still working their magic even in their new location. I've been meaning to go there since they've taken over the old Brown Derby location. And wow did they ever change it for the better. The atmosphere and decor is really stunning done up in monochromatic blues with lots of reflective elements. As my hubby and I eased into our seats still in awe, we noticed a plethora of menu specials. Many daily specials, happy hour specials and good sized beer and wine list. It seemed that even though this restaurant is on the fancier side of the local spectrum, they catered to many budgets. That's refreshing to see. I'm a sucker for a well made Moscow Mule. They happened to have a Mango Mule. It was a tasty twist on that style drink and I would definitely recommend it. We ordered the brussel sprouts. I know it's trendy, but I love me some sprouts. They weren't too thrilling, it seemed like they were lacking something I just couldn't put my finger on. The Caesar salad was exceptionally good. It looked like house made croutons and dressing were present. I ordered the Shannon pizza. Nicely done with a thin, almost crisp crust. My hubby ordered the New York strip dinner with the delicious veggies and a chunk of potato gratin goodness. The steak was done to perfection and the sides were delicious. Service was pleasant and attentive for the most part. A little slow with drink refills and getting our check, but we're not mad at it. We very much enjoyed our dinner at Noosa. Celebrated Father's Day and it was a treat! Ordered Caesar Salad and Rib Eye at 125/130 with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and a glass of Malbec. We rarely eat out because we cook great meals at home and usually get disappointed. But not at Noosa Bistro. Requested our rib eye at 125/130 and the Chef hit a home run. Tables were seated so close together it was uncomfortable especially if you are having a Buffett and people are getting up and down.. we had a table of six and you could not get out with out 3 people moving out and then those people were in the way to go to Buffett. Service was ok.. it was a Easter Buffet' it was a very wide variety of breakfast ,salads ,deserts and prime rib and ham at $40 a person. I wanted to order something small off menu ... They refused to serve me unless I ordered off buffet. Manger came to table did not bend to just that either.. So sad to have to give this 3 stars. I really wanted to like it. I went on a recommendation from a friend. Plenty of parking and easy to find. I walked in and there was no host to greet me. Three different waitresses walked by and all I got was half a smile.. not even a "we'll be right with you." Finally a nice hostess came and seated me. It seems like they know the locals well, and they do a great job chatting them up. Not so much the non-regular. It took longer than I would have expected to grab my order, though they did a good job on the drink. Ordered my go to, shrimp and grits. Started with a beet salad. It was meh... The beet salad had a very out of the can feeling. They brought out the shrimp and grits with what was supposed to be a sunny side up egg... It wasn't as sunny as I had hoped. It was overcooked. The grits weren't creamy... That was a bit of a bummer. The meat was good and the shrimp cooked nicely. I sat with my card on the edge of the table for quite a while with a couple of walk bys. The waitress was kind, but not the service I would expect. I hope others have a better experience, but I wasn't dazzled. read more

I had 9 ladies for lunch to celebrate my 75th birthday at Noosa Bistro on March 6, 2024. our table was set nicely and the ambience was cozy with the fireplace nearby. James the manager helped to create a special menu and had them printed out when my guests arrived. Taylor, our server did a great job of getting everyone's drinks and entrees ordered. G'day! Noosa has always been a solid restaurant choice for us. They relocated several years ago to a location much closer to me so I'm thankful for that. Service has been mostly good-there were some individual visits that could have been better but nothing that warrants dropping a star off. The bar is a great area with lots of seating if you just want to pop in for apps and drinks. Plenty of seating in the dining room as well. Everything that I've tried on the menu has been excellent. I've heard their burgers are great. My favorite is the Noosa cajun pasta (contains all 3- chicken, shrimp & sausage). They're located close to Home Depot, Menards, La Malfa, and Atlas Diamond Center Cinemas so you can combine your outing when you're in the area. read more

I'm at a 3.5. We were torn on where to eat and Noosa was on the way so we stopped. We were sat right away and our waitress came right over. I'm not sure if it was time of day or the pandemic but they were running a short menu and she talked so fast I wasn't sure what she said regarding specials. It seemed like they were either shorthanded or busy getting ready for the dinner rush. Either way, she was prompt and the food was fine. Nothing special though. One note: I ordered chicken Marsala and it was finished with cream. I wasn't quite expecting that (maybe I missed it on the menu) but that limited the amount I was able to eat. read more

We've been going to Noosa for many years starting at it's old location in Mentor. This time was a little disappointing. While the food, as always, was above average, the service wasn't. I tried to call to make a reservation, but received an automated message saying that they were on the phone. My options were to call back or send an email. I called back a few times with no luck. I tried using their website. No luck there either. I sent an email as directed and received no response. That alone was pretty frustrating. We decided to go and take our chances. We arrived around 6:00 on a Saturday night and we were asked if we had reservations. When we replied that we had tried, we were told that they were probably full at the time and that is why we couldn't get through. It would have been nice for someone to answer and just tell us that. We were told that we could sit at the bar until a table in the bar was available. This is not our preference, but we decided to take it. When sitting at the bar, we decided to just order our food there which we did. After we received our food,, we were ignored while the bar tender chit chatted with others at the other end of the bar. We are normally generous tippers, but not this time. I have to say the food was good. That was a redeeming quality. read more

My wife and I decided to have a date night out and stopped in Noosa bistro prior to attending the movies right across the street. They were relatively busy the bar seemed to be very busy. it seemed like everybody that was in there was about 85 or older but they were doing their fair share of whooping it up. My wife and I found a empty booth at the bar and ask the server if she could see this there she said sure no problem just let me clean it first. Well it took her about 10 minutes to clean it I could have cleaned it myself in about 30 seconds. is also kind of chilly in there and I noticed that they had gas fireplaces which would have added to the ambiance as it was a cool night but for some reason they didn't fire them up.. My wife ordered the noose a burger and I ordered the turkey burger. I suppose the biggest issue I have is not with a food because it was actually really really good but it was that we were a wadded-up napkins throw away from two bartenders and we couldn't get their attention to save a life. This extended amount of time we spent at the table probably about 20 minutes longer just trying to get the attention of a server to get us refills so if anything I would hope they would want to work on that. Otherwise my turkey burger was actually really really good and my wife's Noosa Burger could have used a little bit more Sriracha ketchup other than that will go back and give another try read more
