Nonna T's feels like hidden gem the moment you arrive. The restaurant is inside a converted single-family home, which gives it such a cozy, intimate, old-school Italian feel--more like being invited into someone's home for dinner than eating at a typical restaurant. We started with the Italian wedding soup, which was warm, comforting, and delicious. For dinner, our table tried the Bolognese, chicken Madeira, tortellini, and spaghetti. Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and the spaghetti looked like exactly what you hope for at a neighborhood Italian restaurant--a giant plate of pasta covered in red sauce with an enormous meatball in the middle. And when I say the portions are huge, I mean HUGE. There was no chance of ordering dessert because I could only finish about half of my entrée. The good news is that the other half became an entire lunch the next day, so basically this is dinner and meal prep in one. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had such a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food, generous portions, and genuinely good service. Come hungry--and plan on leaving with a box. read more

Because it's been retro-fitted into a single-family home, the tables are a bit crowded together. But it's not too loud, and the food is fantastic. Really seems like family recipes. read more

A neighborhood staple with a wonderful ambiance and delicious food. We visited for the first time on a Saturday evening, and it did not disappoint. I started with the house salad, featuring fresh mozzarella and a house dressing that perfectly balanced the flavors of the greens and cheese. For our entrees, we had the Chicken Parmesan and upgraded to the cheese tortellini with tomato cream sauce--they were absolute pillows of deliciousness. We also enjoyed the gnocchi with pesto and a side of meatballs, both of which were excellent. The only downside is the need for reservations due to limited parking, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. read more

Phenomenal food! Very large portions. We had enough spaghetti for 3 nights. Great warmed up as well. Very quaint little place. Servers were awesome. I can't say enough good things about the place. We live in Pittsburgh area. Told husband. I want to take a trip there just to eat at Nonna T's. From one Nonna to Nonna T, GREAT JOB! read more

The wedding soup had a nice touch with egg drop in it. I wasn't sure what to get so I asked for the most popular dish and it was the tortellini. I had it with a side of meatballs. This was truly amazing. The best tortellini I ever had. Very cool small restaurant in an old small house. Hidden gem in Mentor. read more

I was in town on vacation and came alone. Second time here. I tried the chicken parm and it was delicious I subbed the pasta for tortalini with a cream sauce which was so light and tender. When the server asked if I wanted dessert she never mentioned the chocolate covered spumoni that another person asked if they had any saying how delicious it was. I was disappointed in the server for not mentioning it as we had talked about it before dinner. Next trip I will definitely be back read more

Food was not what I expected. I was looking for a spectacular meal. It was OK. Nothing great. Place is very small and chopped up because it is a house not a restaurant. I will not be back. read more

From the moment we walk into this quaint restaurant we are treated as friends. All of the staff is welcoming. The service is impeccable. And the food is absolutely outstanding. We've been there quite a few times. Actually, many of the guests there are repeats. Nonna's cooking is what brings us back; and the portions are so big that we end up bringing home dinner for next the day, too. It's the best restaurant we've eaten at in Northeast Ohio. read more

Everything was top tier. I come from a an east coat Italian family and this wa a match for my own grandmothers dishes. Every bite was simply amazing and the ambiance and service was top notch. Generous portions and exsquite food. Definitely adding to my list. read more

Delicious food. Warm family ambiance. Gracious wait staff that really cares to please!

Nonna T's is a quaint little place with 10 or so tables. Great ambience. Service was wonderful & Nonna herself came over after the meal to say hello. Complementary bread was fresh & warm. Salad was large enough for 2. Eggplant Parmesan and tortellini in tomato cream sauce were delicious! Cheese Ravioli with marinara was overly salty unfortunately, the only disappointing dish we ordered. The tiramisu was amazing. All in all, a wonderful meal. Wise to make reservations. read more

Updating to 5 stars. I got the chicken parm with the 4 cheese tortellini... I will dream about this dish forever! It was so good!! Service was great this go-around - we never waited for anything (more bread, drinks, etc) for more than a minute. Nonna T herself was visiting tables, so friendly and sweet!! I love it here and can't wait to be back! read more

Big Italian food junkie, and Nonna T's did not disappoint! This place is very quaint and there is such a warm feeling when you first walk in. The staff sat us promptly and were so friendly and accommodating. Jennifer was our server and she was awesome! There was also a younger girl who filled water and cleared dishes that was so nice and very good at her job. Warm bread with oil to dip is brought out with our waters. We started with some wine and eggplant parmesan, so good! Then we got chicken Marsala and a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, which I loved. Pizza is my first go to at an Italian restaurant....if a restaurant can't get a pizza right....well, Nonna Ts hit the spot....and the Marsala was tender and very tasty. Finished up with tiramisu ....omg, not a huge tiramisu and this was some of the best I've ever had, loved it! Loved this place, we will definitely be going back soon! read more

This is the 2nd year I have ordered food from the catering menu of Nonna T's for Christmas Dinner. Everyone loves the food! I ordered at least 7 items off the menu both times. Easy process to order and pick up. Great experiences both times. Can't recommend enough! Love Nonna T's! read more

We had a group of 12 people, called ahead for reservations, were not told they do not do separate checks. Waitress advised after we were seated that we would have 1 bill, and poorly explained that she would take 3 or 4 credit cards. What she meant was she would divide the bill by 3 or 4 and put that on separate cc. It was up to us to figure out who owed what to whom. Our group, which is normally 16-20, goes to various restaurants monthly in Lake County, and getting separate checks has never been a problem. I will say that everyone was satisfied with the food, but several of us were put off with the check issue. read more

Good food, smaller sized place so be careful with a backup in mind if you go at a busy time. Limited parking with small turnaround area. Food was a great Italian portion (2x normal) and they had amazing service even at the bar. Menu has good options, nothing that blew me away however. Nice ambience. read more

The owners of the business are very concerning. While I was eating my meal, there was much yelling in the kitchen which ruined the experience of the restaurant and my meal. Considering the high prices of the food and the struggle to actually make room for customers, the experience is not worth it. The servers are very nice, however the staff in the kitchen show much disrespect. It is usually a very nice place, and the food is very good, however there is much dispute and disrespect towards the employees. Sadly, I will not be visiting again due to the situations. I think if they had a new owner it would be a great business read more

It was very good, very authentic maybe northern (typical) Italian food. Good marinara sauce, good meatball a fine grind on the beef. Smaller restaurant, should have a reservation although we got in without one at 4:30. Large menu, two specials this evening. Higher end place, wine and spirits read more

Great food and great prices. I had Pesto Gnocchi, a side of Mushroom Risotto and 3 small Cannolis for just $30. While the food was great, the layout of the restaurant was just plain weird. Servers have to go up and down steps to and from the kitchen. And then there is more seating upstairs, another 12 steps for servers. Hopefully they'll get popular enough to move to a better location. One other thing, I drove by 3 times. It's really hard to see the signage. read more

Fantastic Italian food. Having grown up with authentic Italian cuisine, I am skeptical of many Italian restaurants that serve pretty mediocre pasta. Nonna Ts is a dream come true. Every dish I've had has been spectacular. She has three different sauces, all of which are great. Well spiced, but not overdone. Her pizza is great and so are the entrees like the veal piccata. Very good service but make sure you have a reservation. It is very small charming restaurant with limited parking. Very pleasant experience every time. read more

Recently went here for a birthday dinner and enjoyed an excellent meal, great service and a cozy ambiance. As the dining area is small, make sure to get a reservation, and I'd possible car-pook there as their lot is also small-ish. read more

My wife and I stopped in after hearing some Facebook reviews and looking them up on Yelp. No reservations on a Saturday night. We waited about 5 minutes for our table. The bread they bring is fresh out of the oven and is wonderful. We had the Calamari which is sauteed instead of fired, which is our preference. The sauce that it was in was amazing. Our salads and entree were also amazing. We can not wait to go back, we even plan to order some pizzas to go. Nonna T stopped out right before we left and had a very nice conversation. Her passion for her food is evident in the taste in the conversation. This is what a restaurant experience is suppose to be like. read more

Dine in | $20-30 We have heard good things about Nonna T's and decided to stop in right at 4 when they opened when we were in the neighborhood. We were seated automatically and the waitress was very sweet to our toddler and prompt with making suggestions and telling us the specials. This first thing I commented on to my husband was how clean the restaurant is and how nice the atmosphere is. We also had our 3 month old who was very fussy (screaming and crying actually) and I didn't get to sit and eat my meal due to consoling her. Nonna came out and not only offered to hold my crying baby, but made my toddler special butter noodles without asking (which she loved). I went out to my car to feed my baby and Nonna brought me tiramisu, explaining she felt bad that I didn't get to enjoy my hot meal. When my husband and toddler came out to the car with my boxed food (seafood pasta- very good and hefty portion), I was surprised to see Nonna carrying the car seat and diaper bag! It was like having family take care of us at the restaurant and we will definitely be returning. There aren't a lot of restaurants like this. The food was excellent and authentic, prices are very reasonable. I can't express my love for this place even though I ironically didn't get to eat inside. I cannot recommend enough. Grazie mille, Nonna read more

Will only seat you if you have reservations, was turned away at 4 on a Saturday in an empty restaurant.

The food was excellent, the service was great. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. Our waitress was named E just E and made us feel very welcome. We ordered gnocchi pasta with a pesto basil sauce, cooked to perfection we also ordered arugula salad with goat cheese sweetened with apples and a tasty sweet balsamic. I forgot to mention the warm bread with a butter balsamic dipping sauce, "Delish"!!! Finished with a tiramisu dessert, Yummy, one of the very best. This month's pick did not disappoint! When you find an Italian restaurant that makes really great Italian food, i.e.as good as homemade, you'll make sure to return again. Nonna T's is nestled in a house in Mentor, and Nonna T does all the cooking herself. After dinner, she circulates to greet her customers. She is one sweet Nonna!!! I had chicken picatta with a side of orrachetti pasta with Alfredo sauce. My husband had eggplant parm. Being the foodie I am, I will remember these flavors for a while. Other cousins had veal parm and veal ravioli. Everything was superb. We also celebrated an 80th birthday, and Nonna delivered canoli with a lit candle....so sweet of her. I would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try you won't be disappointed read more
