My father got the Taco salad, really good. Both my daughters got the Italian wrap and they loved it. I got the patty melt, Burger in the Rye, just right. Food was out quick too. However, the highlight of the visit was our waitress Sienna (hope I spelled right). She was quick with a smile, really friendly and personable. Walked in and we were seated pretty quickly considering is was a Saturday before 5 pm. Our server (Laura) was super attentive and even had a sense of humor (most waitresses don't). She was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. From the drinks to the food she knew it all! I already knew what I wanted, as I seek out nachos anywhere I go. My father ordered a 10 count wing with Cajun Teriyaki, my mother a build your own burger with Swiss, sautéed onions and mushrooms (side of fries) and I got nachos with a side of sweet potato fries. It is a very large location. Horseshoe bar seats around 30. There is an area with some hightops, and then a ramp up to where tables and booths are located. I like the way it transitions. It looks very clean. The decor is a little random, but it does fit in some ways as they have mug shots as part of the decor. Appropriate for the name of the restaurant. While I visited on a Friday, I was still surprised at how busy it was at about 3:45 in the afternoon. That said a lot to me. The bartender I had at first was okay, but she left soon asfter I arrived. The person who replaced her was awesome! She pretty much handled the entire bar area by herself, and was very funny. The couple next to me asked a few questions about the menu and she knew she stuff! I always appreciate when a bartender or server knows the menu up and down. My typical vodka lemonde was priced fairly for happy hour. Speaking of prices, while I didn't eat, I didn't feel as though anything looked out of the ordinary price wise. In fact, some of the choices were cheaper than other locations I have been to. If I don't eat somewhere, it is rare for me to give to give a location 5 stars, but the next time I visit, I am guessing I will change my review to 5 stars. read more

The stir fry was overloaded with too-salty teriyaki sauce and the vegetables were almost mushy. The Jalapeno poppers were watery on the inside. Fried mozzarella wasn't gooey on the inside. The burger was just okay, the slaw was devoid of any spices or flavor, and the onion rings tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fish. I thought I'd give the place another try after a lousy family meal a year and a half ago. Unfortunately, the food was still very disappointing. I won't bother going back. Ever. read more

My Freind and I went to get some appetizers and a couple of Beers we sat at the bar the Bartender that waited on us was not good at all poor service not to mention when it came to pay my bill I gave her my card to pay and a cash tip I waited for her to come back so I could sign for it mean time the people that came in after us she was giving them there bill and they paid there bill and I was still waiting I said to my friend where is my card and I seen the other bar tender with a card wounding who card it was she looked at me and said is this your card I said yes she said oh ok found it on the floor that the girl must of dropped it I said oh that's nice and the Bartender that was waiting on us looked at me and told me to Fuck off and get out of the bar my friend and i were stunned went to the hostess stand and asked for the manager and there were three girls there and two were assistant managers and other on the phone I told them what Happen they apologized said they will get the manager I said this Bartender must be trouble the girl on the phone looked at me and shook her head yes and the other two had smiles on their faces I said by the look on your faces it must be true they nodded their heads yes they had the manager come over i told him he said oh she has worked for me for five years what do you want me to fire her I said that is what you should do yes for talking to a customer Like that I said if I did that in my job I would be fired his response to me was what do you think you are special where do you work I was floored I told him it was none of his Business where I work and yes I am special I am a paying customer he did want to hear any more and did nothing very poor Business and customer service will never step in there ever again and will make sure I tell everyone . read more

I've been the mugs a few times. They have a great patio, especially in the evenings when it's cool in the summer. The staff is friendly and fairly attentive. They offer good selection of items on their menu. I like their double cheeseburger with crispy tater tots. I also like their Philly cheesesteak with lots of mushrooms, and of course, crispy tater tots. It's not a bad place to go have a burger and beer. This was my first time to the new location since they were on Mentor Ave. I was very impressed! We had a party of 12 and it was a Friday night during lent. I expected a long wait to be seated and serviced, but I was proven wrong! Our experience from beginning to end was amazing. From apps to food, drinks and service - what a great place to add to Mentor's variety. Typical bar food, etc, but still amazing! As soon as you walk in you smell fresh Popcorn! Yum!! We sat in the back of the restaurant away from the bar noise because we wanted to be able to have a conversation. The bar area was pretty busy but in the back there were not many people there. I decided on soup and salad. I chose wedding soup. My husband got a buffalo chicken wrap and french fries. honestly the prices were good. I mean, even fast food joints are so expensive now. But their meals were around $12-$15 apiece. After we ordered, we just kept waiting and waiting and our food never came. We finally asked our server about it and she said that they ran out of wedding soup and we're having to make more....OK. That happens... . So finally the food came and my husband really enjoyed the chicken wrap and the french fries were super cool. They're thick and twisted. The salad was fine and we ordered garlic bread to come with it. The garlic bread was pretty SAD! They put it in the oven or under the broiler for a minute or so and it was just soggy and not crispy and brown. It was pretty yucky. The weddings soup was OK. Not a lot of flavor. BUT!! the most disappointing thing was that as we were leaving the restaurant, I stopped where the wonderful smelling popcorn machine was. And I asked, Who gets to eat this popcorn? And the hostess said that anyone could eat it... was self serve! ‍ I mentioned that our server should have told us that since we had to wait extra long for our food because they ran out of wedding soup!! Popcorn would've been nice to fill the time. Their menu is pretty limited to burgers, wraps,and a couple of entrées, so if that is what you are hungry for - then this is the place to go. I watched several staff members clear "unused" items from tables (rolled silverware/plates) and put them back to be re-used. I asked our server about this and she said management makes them! This is EXTREMELY unsanitary! Just because somebody didnt "use" something, doesn't mean they didn't cough on it, sneeze on it and/or touch it with unwashed hands. I see things differently than the previous reviews. What I saw today in our first visit (presidents day) was that the staff was completely understaffed but seemed to be handling it very well! Listen, businesses cannot get workers so the folks that do care to work, are doing extra duty- from the front of the house to the kitchen staff. But we didn't have any issue with service/food today. Between the two of us, we got a burger and patty melt burger and were in and out in less than an hour. Glad to see a local spot busy and doing well! read more
