The rice, plaintains, & salsa were just ok. Jack Daniels bread pudding was bland. The sauce tasted more of cinnamon than jack daniels and the bread pudding itself wasn't flavorful. The chocolate cake was ok. We shared a few bites, then took it home. Took us a few days to get through it and we love chocolate! Service was amazing, especially considering she also was tending bar. I had a very nice Sangiovese. A short time later he returned with our drinks and a nice basket of wonderful crusty bread. He asked if we had any questions, then offered to take our orders. The main menu had a very good selection of offerings. Plenty to satisfy any and all palates. I started my meal with a shrimp cocktail. It arrived with 6 nice sized (2 bite) shrimp with an excellent cocktail sauce. My brother ordered 6 oysters that were nicely presented and had good flavor but were a bit on the small side. I followed up my starter by ordering the Lamb Lollipops from the starter menu. The lamp shank offering from the entre menu seemed to be too large a serving. The lollipops turned out to be perfect... both in size and in quality. They were meaty, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as I ordered. My wife ordered the sea scallops which came out excellent. My sister in law had the crab cakes and was very satisfied. Afterwards or server offered a selection of 3 different desserts and after dinner beverages. We had our usual coffee and included Creme Brule. Both were quite satisfying. In conclusion, we had a very pleasant evening. The establishment, service and food were all quite up to standards. We started with a buffalo mozzarella, olive and thick sliced prosciutto appetizer. Absolutely amazing. I had a squid ink pasta special with shrimp and scampi and my wife had their veal. Both were absolutely fantastic. For desert the tiramisu is beyond description. Light, fluffy, incredibly flavorful. This place is LEGIT. Our server was originally from Italy and took great care of us. She was amazing. We visited Italy years ago and this place really brought us back to those amazing memories. We will absolutely be back. Make sure to get a reservation because the dining room is rather small but very nice and cozy.

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.

On this particular evening our server did a very good job, especially considering the number of tables assigned to her. She was very pleasant as well. Patience is the key at the restaurant. The setup is very challenging for service. Food - very good. The menu is extremely limited and a bit odd. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries to keep it simple. The burger was served hot and the temperature exactly as ordered. It was flavorful a d the bun was fresh. Overall Value - very good. Prices are reasonable, especially given the location and being a live music venue.
