Every single time we go here every single time it is a perfect experience. Without fail their servers are professional and seemingly trained very well. We like to sit in the bar unless we're going to go for a super duper fancy dinner. The bar is very upscale and the servers attention to detail to the uniforms also is unmatched. While we normally go there for fancy dinner tonight we just wanted a cheeseburger which is on the bar menu which they don't really tell you about. They do bring a selection of fresh baked bread and flatbread with the most beautiful salted butter you've ever had. Both my wife and myself went for the burger and it came out cooked just as we had ordered. It comes with some truffle fries and just the right amount. My son ordered the 14 oz strip steak cooked medium and I swear whoever they have back there cooking the meat knows exactly what they're doing. My son also got some veg and an order of truffle fries and then proceeded to finish the other half of my wife's Burger as well true to form. We had a $50 gift card that we were supposed to use by February but the manager on duty was very cool and honored it anyway. This used to be one of my favorite steak houses. The food was always great, the customer service was top tier, and it felt like a true night out. Unfortunately, it just does not feel like the same place anymore. First, the addition of high tops really changes the atmosphere. What once felt upscale and classic now leans more "sports bar with expensive steaks." Maybe that is just me, but part of the appeal was the elegance and experience. Then came the steaks. We ordered three expensive steaks medium, and before they even came out, the waiter realized the kitchen heard "well done." We politely asked for it to be corrected before the food hit the table. Somehow, one still arrived well done anyway. Thankfully, someone at the table took one for the team and ate it, but when dinner runs around $600, you hope the steaks and the temperatures are both memorable for the right reasons. At one point, a side dish was dropped on the floor. Accidents happen, no big deal. But we did have to gently clarify that yes, we would still like the dish... just preferably not the "farm to floor" version. The disappointing part is that I had promised a fantastic worker and his amazing wife a really special night out. This unfortunately was not it. Our absolute favorite restaurant in Ohio! Today's visit reinforced our opinion! Arrived with my wife and mom for our last time out before heading back to Norfolk tomorrow. It's been over a year since our last stop. The managing partner changed since then with Aaron taking over for EJ. We seated ourselves in the lounge, there were several tables with reserved signs on them but were told to disregard when I asked. The restaurant is as beautiful as ever, one of the modern motifs, and very well kept! Gia was our bartender and server. She did a superb job taking care of us. We ordered adult beverages while taking a look at the menu. I was slightly disappointed that Gia did not have the Amaro needed for a Paper Plane but very happy she acknowledged it rather than butchering the beverage. A Double Oaked Manhattan is always a suitable substitute! We ordered adult beverages, a Shrimp Cocktail as a starter, and ordered our main courses. I decided on the Tenderloin Cobb Salad, my wife the Tenderloin Sliders, and mom the Lobster salad. The shrimp were large and delicious! Our main courses came out fairly quickly and were perfectly presented! My wife's sliders were a shade rarer than she normally likes, but enjoyed them. Mom enjoyed her Lobster Salad and I thought my Codd was superb! We split a crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert to cap our meal. James and Aaron both came out and chatted for a bit. I have been to Happy Hour twice, from 4-6 p.m. in the bar room. Service is excellent. The menu is small, and has a nice selection of choices. The two pricey items are a strip steak and lamb chops. Both are $16. The strip is thin, but nice size, so I suggest ordering it medium rare. I will ask for a sauce to top it next time. The two small lamb chops were delicious. Nothing comes with these two dishes. I shared a wedge salad with the steak. I had the best creamed spinach side with the lamb. Drinks and wine are good prices. Recommend Happy Hour. read more

Most people prefer more calamari and less peppers...they took over the platter that could have been a smaller plate. We both ordered the sliced Filet Mignon and shared the Potatoes au Gratin... and our food was prepared with expertise. Both were delicious! For dinner I ordered the lamb pops and they were nice enough to split them in half so they weren't as thick (I like the lollipop version). Soo tender and had great taste. My husband had the bone-in filet which was a special. Our waitress did a great job explaining the benefits of a bone-in filet vs regular as we have never heard of it with a filet. The food was cooked to perfection with excellent flavoring. The corn lacked some flavor depth, but that would be my only complaint. Service was fantastic! The waiter brought out the bread with no problem however it left me with the impression that we were being rushed because again I have been to this location numerous times and was always served bread upon being seated, which I also let the waiter know. Their staff is always very attentive if you are gluten-free, you can ask for your own special gluten-free bread and they will warm it up and bring it to the table.
