Waited a few days to post this review because unfortunately it was a very bad experience. Not sure if there is new ownership or a change. The disrespect and arrogance of the young man who was giving me trouble was disappointing. I walked away from him thinking someone else who I always see might be a friendlier experience. Surprised he followed me to other side of the store to make sure he stated he was the owner. We have been regular customers (2-3 times a month) for years. Sad to be leaving this place. read more

5 days after ordering a crunch basket to be delivered I called because I never got an "it shipped notice." It hadn't shipped because of the weather, it was too hot .I told them how utterly ridiculous that was and cancelled the order. I ordered pints of JENI'S ice cream instead and they were shipped (in dry ice) the next day and delivered the following day. Better & cheaper than a crunch basket, will never buy from Fantasy Candies again! read more

The first thing you notice when you walk in the door of Fantasy Candies is the magnificent smell. It smells of all things chocolate and sugar. This was my first time visiting Fantasy Candies and I was impressed by the selection of options you could choose from. Not only do they sell candy and chocolate but they also had a large selection of wines from near and far. I was lucky enough to get to participate in a chocolate and wine paring event in the store. There is a small portion in the back of the store where the tasting occurs. Each wine had a specially selected chocolate to go with it. You could tell a lot of thought went into these pairings. We were here for one of their wine tastings. Very thorough for such a small event! It's a hidden gem. Their explanations for each wine was great, and their cheese and cracker spread was great, too. One little thing, their candy pairing for the wines wasn't exactly on point. But that might be personal preference. Some other patrons seemed to enjoy the candy greatly. Love the new and Fantasy Candies! Not just because I can bicycle there on Saturday nights to get my wine and chocolate fix. Fantasy Candies recently moved less than a mile away from their former location and it's really a great space. You name it - and they have it. Candies made in house, old skool favorites, and now - a good selection of wine. (there's also a neat little hut with information about the chocolate making process - random but cool) There's a nice little bar area where you can sample wine and chocolates every Saturday for $10-$12. (or you can rent out the space and have a private tasting) I've gone to the tasting twice so far and I've enjoyed everything I've tried. Typically there are 4 wines paired with 4 chocolates by Joel the owner. He's a great guy to chat up about chocolate. And wine. Plus, he offered to help me track down one of my favorite wines that I've been having trouble finding elsewhere. (and they have a case discount) Definitely worth checking out for just the candy or for the weekly tastings. It's a fun little date night thing to do! read more

Really fun store! I brought my kids and the owner was so kind to them. We looked at everything in the store and ended up with a lot of variety. My wife and I went through the wine section. There is a lot of variety and the staff had great suggestions. We have not tried a wine and chocolate tasting yet, but my wife and I are planning one. It's just a fun place to go. read more

Omg and what is there to say! The candy is fantastic and homemade and I came for the chocolate covered strawberries and left with those and some chocolate pretzels as well. This is one of my favorite chocolate stores in Cleveland! I was introduced to Fantasy Candies during one of their wine and chocolate tastings (which I highly recommend!). They sell wines at a great price as well as a variety of candies, including flavored jelly beans, vines, and fruit slices, but the housemade chocolates are the standouts. The 72% dark chocolate is the best I've had, sold in a variety of disks (coconut, rocky road, coffee toffee, dried fruit), as well as chocolate covered almonds, cranberries, etc. They also have excellent truffles, caramels, fudge, and seasonal treats. Came in like I usually do once a week to get a slushy and chocolates. The older white gentleman with glasses is usually friendly and takes care of me. Today on 6/17 at 545pm was totally different. I walked in and he was talking with another white man and women and was laughing. He asked me what I needed I said the Pina colada. He poured the drink and he didn't fill it to the top so I jokingly said you shorted today and and smiled. He said I give the same amount each time, do you want more? I said sure it's not full. He slammed the top down hard on the table and said "I'm not in the mood for this today" I was immediately taken back by his anger and response when he was just laughing with the two white customers in front of me. Mind you, I come here weekly for my company and never had a problem. This time he was so upset by me joking and saying that you shorted me that he turned serious and slammed the cup and top on the counter and yelled at me. I told him, I was joking but you being rude is uncalled for and I told him I didn't want the drink because I was offended by his remarks and attitude. He then proceeded to to yell and tell me to get out. I didn't make a scene, and I walked out and told him how unprofessional he was. I was at a lost for words. This is not how you treat a customer/company who faithfully supports the business weekly. I don't know what he was dealing with for him to yell at me and say he wasn't in the mood. Maybe he should have called off work if he can't handle his emotions and thinks it's OK to yell at a customer who was not acting out, being rude, or angry with him. Me and my organization will not be returning for this type of treatment. It's not OK! Im so disappointed by his actions. Hopefully management addresses his behavior and gives him some time off to get himself in a better head space so he can come to work and treat EVERYONE fairly, not just some customers. read more

Okay... was here again just getting some goodies for Easter and the chocolate-covered almonds are amazing! Way more amazing than normal stuff you find at the grocery. Try the almond bark, bring it to a party, and watch people just swoon over it. I feel like this is a hidden gem in Cleveland. I love this place. The chocolate is the best! Their milk and white chocolate covered popcorn is a sin. My mother loves the chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered grapes. They also make chocolate bowls for special occasions, i ordered 1 for my wedding and it was beautiful and tasty. read more
