Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders Seasoned French Fries
    Ethan E.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Longhorn is definitely more upscale in the chain restaurant world even though its technically casual dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a modest feeling inside while presenting a more mature menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's definitely some for everyone here. I came here with some extended family in the fall last year while in town visiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was certainly busy, which is expected of the weekend rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thus, I am not distressed in the least about having to wait too long for refills and the like. The starter bread was fairly good, though not much else can be said I ordered the picky person's favorite hand breaded chicken tenders with some fries and side Caesar salad. The fries were good but not too good and sufficed for the meal. The side salad was actually pretty good and crisp, as it should be. The tenders were decent too, though a tad dry. This was my first dining experience at Longhorn Steakhouse, and I left impressed for sure. Glad to add this place to my list of favorites.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very clean and quiet[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] plus the the service was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did go during lunch hours so it wasn't busy at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lobster was spectacular and that butter was the best seasoned butter I've ever had in my life. The steak temperature was suppose to be medium but it came out medium well and was a bit tough.

Medium petite filet. It was sooooo dry

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. My first time here. While some rave about it, I can only say the petite filet was like roast beef. It was not cooked with pink in the middle to keep it juicy and tender. (PS; I ordered it Medium) The seasoning was ok, but would've expected a way better steak for a Steakhouse. Should've sent it back, but didn't want to upset my husband or guest. The positives. Salad and sweet potato were good. The decor was very Texas and fun. Every table was full and our service was really good. Our server Tyler did a fantastic job! She even brought my husband an ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Given my poor tasting steak, doubt I'll return for steak.

    Chicken Tender Salad

Our party of 6 for lunch experienced great meals and service when we dined here. First off our server was extremely attentive and made sure we had all the refills we needed and any extra sauces. She also checked on us frequently. The group of 6 had a variety of meal's including streaks, ribs, soups, salads, their onion tangles and their bread to share. Everything tasted fine, and I especially loved my chicken tender salad. Longhorn honey mustard and ranch dressing is delicious! It's nice and casual inside and I like that they have a few round tables for groups, it makes it easy to chat with one another.

    Wild West Shrimp

My visit to LongHorn Steakhouse was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I first got in I immediately noticed the immersive western atmosphere and all the wonderful art.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server we had was Tim and they were really nice, refilled drinks without being asked, and let us take our time ordering. All of the food was great, except for the shrimp which was kind of bland but I've never had shrimp before and that might just be the taste. However everything else was amazing, the chicken had great flavor, the bread was soft and doughy, the rice was pretty salty but I like it that way, the mashed potatoes were nice and buttery, and the steak was excellent, nice, juicy, and tender. Overall I say this place gets 5 stars and nothing less.

First, there really is no seating while waiting for a table. Second, the hostess underestimated our wait time. We were told 20 minutes when it actually took 45 minutes. To be fair, I don't entirely blame her. When I mentioned how long we had been waiting, she apologized for being understaffed. EVERY PLACE seems to have the same problem so I get it. But what the real issue may be for Ridgewood Kitchen is an ability to be even semi-accurate in how long it will take a table to turn over. There were three elderly couples seated at a table when we arrived. They had clearly finished their meals & were conversing. They did so for another hour & forty-five minutes! How can a restaurant deal with that?!? Ridgewood Kitchen is still a great choice for food & table service. Just be aware the wait time for a table may be considerably longer than quoted.

The atmosphere was bright and homey, an ideal place to start your morning. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken immediately. I appreciated that we were given a pitcher of water alongside our main drink orders. However, we weren't very impressed with the size of the cups for the waters. They were one step above a shot glass. Prices are about what you'd expect. We both got pancakes, mine having chocolate chips and strawberries. While I prefer to have my strawberries more sauce-like than fresh, I still found them enjoyable. We both liked our pancakes, but I have two complaints about them. I don't like that they don't come with some sort of side, especially when I'm paying nearly $8 for them and 99 cents per topping. And while they're supposed to be bottomless, the size of the pancakes makes it pointless. If you get the full order (which is required for the bottomless option), you get three pancakes that are almost the size of the plate. Unless you have one heck of an appetite or multiple stomachs, it's nearly impossible to make to a second plate. My boyfriend ordered a side of hash browns with his pancakes. We shared them and I thought they were decent. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely edible. Overall, I'd come back here and try the other things on their menu.

Well we drove out to River St. in Grand River in NE Ohio. On a heavily commercial road in an older neighborhood there it was, "Sammy's Family Restaurant". An older building with parking on both sides and around the back. So we parked and went inside. At the front door we were greeted by a sign that said, "Seat yourself at a clean table". As we wandered over to a nice location we noticed small, laminate cards on the tables that read "CLEAN". So we sat, and when the waitress came over she picked up our sign... quaint and efficient. We wandered through an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. It had everything you could possibly want. Really, the choices were 5 pages long. So I ordered a kosher dog with kraut and fresh cut fries. My wife had a cheeseburger with fries as well. Both were large, perfectly prepared and the fries were amazing. It was almost more than we could eat. But, we had to try the rice pudding I saw on the menu. We ordered coffee and a rice pudding to share. The pudding was awesome! It was clearly home made. So, as we were preparing to crawl out of the place because we were so full. The waitress brought us the check. I think my eyes almost popped out of my head. It had a grand total of only $25.00. I looked at it twice and showed my wife. We couldn't believe that excellent experience only cost us $25.00. I told the cashier what a wonderful surprise her place was and we would definitely be back. You should definitely go too.

When we arrived, the hostess was not at the station so we alked in. Seated immediately by the sole wait staff/bartender. No one ever acknowledged our special occassion. If you aren't going to acknowledge, why ask? We were in time for happy hour and were very pleased with the happy hour tempranillo. Not so happy about those dirty glasses. Happy hour cauliflower was tasty. The steak was not a uniform temp. Edges were medium well and inside was medium rare. The chimichurri is very parsley forward. The fish was perhaps a tad over cooked. The rice, plaintains, & salsa were just ok. Jack Daniels bread pudding was bland. The sauce tasted more of cinnamon than jack daniels and the bread pudding itself wasn't flavorful. The chocolate cake was ok. We shared a few bites, then took it home. Took us a few days to get through it and we love chocolate! Service was amazing, especially considering she also was tending bar. There were several parties dining and so far as we could tell, she kept everyone happy. If you give it a try, go for the service ... the food is just ok.
