Their mashed potatoes were delicious as well and I am wishing we had brought some back with us!!!!! My husband got their wagyu steak, I got their Dawson burger, my friend got their strip steak and our other friend got their pork belly sandwich entree. The bathrooms were clean which as you all know if you read my reviews is a huge deal for me. The best part and I was surprised by this, their outdoor seating area did not smell like we were sitting on or anywhere near a farm. I have no idea how they masked the scent of being on a farm. This place with its country chic vibe, friendly staff and food to try is nice but the value is not good here. The proportion were small, but well presented. It's country trendy style with it's farm to table is awesome. The farm is right outside and I would say, the cows are very cool and my fav. The strip steak was quite tasty but not as melt in your mouth as I was expecting. It's not as good as Kobe beer for those meat lovers out there. Fries and beans were very good! The s'mores dessert was ok and the cocktails we tried were just ok too. The old fashion was well made and worth $8 bucks. Each item was per cost. This steak on sale was $75.00 if it would have cost more I would have felt ripped off. The Chili I got to go tasted fine but from the pic that is NOT $22 worth of Chili. I'm sorry but Osso was just So-so. They did not know what to do when we arrived, on time, for our reservation and the table they planned to give us was still occupied... WHAT? They made us sit at a very tiny bar for 1/2 hour before they figured out they could seat us at another table... REALLY? The food was mediocre and came out in the wrong order. Two of us had food while the other two had nothing for an uncomfortable length of time. The service was questionable. As a previous reviewer noted, the restaurant is in the middle of a working farm. And, yes, you will drive by cows and see goats, and rabbits and chickens as well. If you are looking for a strip mall Longhorn Steakhouse experience - this is not your ticket. If you are looking for an experience like nothing else in this area, give it a try. These people craft beautiful and delicious dishes while caring about what goes into your food and ultimately into your body. Consult Facebook as the menu changes often. The Saturday pre-fix menu is substantial. On our last visit, the charcuterie board was huge and the menu included a generous portion of Wagyu short rib along with three other courses! This farm to table restaurant is in the middle of a real-live working farm. Maybe not the best place to wear heels, the parking lot is not paved. We went with another couple. Split a bottle of Leaping Frog Merlot and the guys got beer. Good spirits list if you are into whiskeys and ryes. We got the small charcuterie board as an appetizer. Really great sausage, they sell it on-site if you are so inclined. The girls got Angus filets, one guy got the most gigantic burger ever (he had to take the majority of it home) and my husband got the Angus strip. Side dishes are okay, the sweet potato gnocchi was a bit over-worked and ended up being chewy, the brussel sprout side was a bit lacking in flavor. The steak had a wonderfully smokey flavor that added to the flavor. I would like to try the BBQ. We had an early reservation at 5 pm and the band was a tad loud by the time we left around 7:30 on a Saturday. My husband really enjoyed his bread pudding and the girls drank their dessert. I got a Sangiovese and the other gal got a dessert wine. It's out there, so be prepared for a drive. I would go back and probably frequently, if it were closer. The staff was friendly. If you live on a farm this will be no big deal. If you live in the city or never get to go on a farm it will be a unique experience. The decor is nice. A little mix of farm and modern. The music was different. Not sure of genre but, seems like a modern style. Different, not what I expected in a farm atmosphere but, it was still good. We got ribs. They were pretty good. They have a couple different sauces which, I would recommend they keep tweaking the vinegar and mayonnaise based ones. They seemed a little too much mayonnaise and vinegary. The BBQ sauces were pretty good. The ribs had good taste, a little on dry side. I think if they practice a little they'll get ribs down perfect. I wanted to try a steak but, prices a little too high for me. The staff was super friendly! The place was very clean! Don't wear high heels. The parking lot isn't paved. We got there around 5:45pm. It was slow then quickly started filling. I have a feeling they'll pack the place later in the evening so maybe get there earlier if you don't like crowds. Overall, it is a nice and unique experience. If you don't have the ability to experience farm life this is about as close as you'll get. Another great experience at this wonderful restaurant. Asked for Kelly since we had her as our server previously. Once again she absolutely rocked! Had Wagyu steaks the previous visit. Even though they were running a 10% off special on them this time, my wife decided on the Angus strip and was very pleased! A charcuterie board, shredded Brussels Sprouts, lamb lollis, 2 bottles of wine, dessert and a dirty martini to finish the evening. We had lamb lollipops that were tender and flavorful. We both had wagyu steaks, my ribeye had too much fat, it should have fat, but it really was too much, but my boyfriend filet was perfect and melted in your mouth! What a beautiful, incredible, delicious experience - and that's what Osso is, an experience, not just a meal. Heads up: This place is NOT going to be for everyone, & you should know that going in. If you're going to complain about prices, or about seeing animals out the window as you eat, or about being at a restaurant for a long time, then just don't bother with Osso. Go to Applebee's. But if you want to really experience your food - to eat meat that was raised humanely & treated with respect, butchered on-site by the owner & chef, with veggies grown fresh & locally, & cheese made down the road in towns like Hiram & Burton - this is the place. The prices are high, yes, but so is the quality, & it's clear that Osso is a work of love. This place is on an actual farm, with cows & chickens roaming free outside around you, & yes, sometimes it smells a little bit like manure outside - because, again, it's a farm. Inside, the atmosphere is both laid-back & elevated, a rustic chic feel that is somehow equal parts rustic & chic. Chef Demko comes up with the most amazing creations, things you wouldn't think should taste good together (like, say, Persian duck over cranberry fried rice, or crispy chicken skins over mozzarella), & the level of creativity shown on their ever-changing menus is just. so. impressive. The reason for my negative review is this: My husband and I have recently been going through a very difficult time in life, he had a serious foot surgery followed by a loss in the family. We had made a reservation way in advance for our anniversary and we're very much looking forward to it with everything that was going on. we received an EMAIL cancellation the day before. That's cancelled on Friday, our reservation for Saturday. I really think as a small business we should have received a phone call to let us know. a few day in advance would have been nice. It was extremely difficult to find somewhere else to go. We did eventually find a reservation at Hook and Hoof in Willoughby, go there! Their food is fantastic. We were so excited to try this place!! For starters, we glt lost and actually ended up at the kwners house. I do find that extremely funny. When we finally got in the right track, we had a long drive through a pasture that looked a bit gross actually. I own a farm and I understand things aren't always going to be able to be kept clean. But come on!! This is a restaurant!! The cows watering hole was absolutely filthy, like to the point of disgusting and a bit inhumane. But then again, this isn't my farm and farmer can do what they want with their live stock. But, that is pretty much what stopped me from ordering a $90 steak. The atmosphere was cute and "rustic" glam. The tables were adorable but the chairs were a bit comical. Super short and very uncomfortable. The live music was a man with a guitar. He was good. Our servers were wicked awesome and were always there making sure we had every thing we needed. We ordered our drinks and starter first. The poutine was fantastic!! The kimchi and pickled veggies on top were refreshing and exactly what made the dish perfect! I actually paid $15 to take a small container of the pickled veggies home. Our meals. We ordered 3 to sample. The chicken and waffles, taco. NOT good! The idea of them sounds good. But they were not good at all!! The shells were the waffles and they were soft and mushy. The chicken had no flavor and was just so boring. The second dish was the grilled cheese blt. This was pretty tasty. Criapy, the tomatles were ripe and juice. We ordered fries with it because it comes with a side, right? We weren't expecting to be charged $.50 for ketchup for our fries. The ketchup wasn't good, it was basically marinara sauce. We didn't even use it. Kind of annoying!! We also ordered the burger but were too full amd took it home. Wehen we at it, again we were disappointed. It was HUGE! Why?? Why make the burgers so big? Its just silly. The meat wasn't very good, because its hard to enjoy when you can't even take a bite with all of the goodness on it together?! So so disappointing!! My sister knows the owners, so I'd heard it was opening in February. I wasn't sure if they'd accommodate a wedding rehearsal dinner so soon after the grand opening, but we were able to book it for the first Friday in May. We were beside ourselves with joy and overwhelmed with hospitality! We had a private room and a lovely table setup. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The entire staff even signed a card since we were celebrating that evening! The food is FRESH and the flavors were so impressive. My dad is a picky eater and usually makes fun of "pretty food", but he was chowing down on things I didn't even think he'd try. We did not let them know ahead of time that 2 children were in our party. They went ahead and prepared 2 kid-friendly dishes for them, which was very considerate. Each course was nicely sized and served at the perfect temperature. It's not a place I could afford regularly, but it is definitely worth what you pay. I wanted to wait a week and process this experience before sharing a poor review, and since I'm still stinging from it, albeit a bit calmer, I'm ready to write it now. We had a reservation for 8 on Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday and our entire party arrived right on time. Upon arrival, there was no parking available, so we sort of made our own off to the side. Additionally, the long drive in and parking area is very poorly lit and hard to see. But the place was packed, a good sign, right? The decor has a cool, industrial vibe with a little market/store selling meats, cheeses, even tee shirts with their logo. Our greeter indicated our table for 8 was finishing up and it would be just a bit of a wait. We were finally seated around 8:15 and I was surprised nothing was offered, maybe a free drink at the bar or an appetizer once seated. It took a full 15 minutes after they seated us with menus to have someone come by to take drink orders. Drinks took another 10-15 minutes to arrive. Two mai tais and one gin and tonic were not anything like my friends ever tasted, and after another 10-15 minutes, she returned and they returned the drinks, requesting something else. Those new drinks came about 5 minutes later, except for my husband's beer, which took at least 15 minutes. Orders were taken in between at some point and about 15 minutes later 2/3 of us got our salads. Oh, and 3 people wanted the brisket (sold out). The last salad came another 10 minutes later and the salads came without any silverware for the table. And no bread or anything beforehand either. Finally, after tracking down our server, only those with salads got silverware. We were told the others' silverware was coming. Another thing I wanted to mention is the acoustics in the restaurant. They had a guitar player/singer who was quite good. However, our table was so large and the place was so loud we could not literally even have any conversation with our table unless we actually yelled at each other. The music was nice, but it only added to the difficulty with the horrible acoustics in the place. I'm serious, we were yelling and my sister, sitting at the other end of the giant table, couldn't even hear what I was saying. In terms of food quality, the ribs were barely edible, tough and chewy. Filet was average at best. I had a filet at another restaurant the week before for $10 less and it blew theirs away. Farm to table quality it was not. Very disappointed. The vegetarian meal was just OK and the chicken was average too. I did enjoy the potatoes with the filet. Because we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and had made these reservations weeks in advance, we didn't want to make a fuss and complain and I honestly thought when the food came it would make up for the horrible service but it didn't. Our entire party felt the same way, nobody wanted to be the one to complain. One friend joked, when asked if everything was ok, Oh no, we won't ever be back here after this, and the server just smiled. Everyone was nice enough, but the noise level and obvious over taxing of the wait staff resulted in a very unfortunate dining experience for us. We just went to this restaurant tonight and we had to leave before eating our food. We were sat in a room with one large party and 2 other small tables that were all no more that 3-4 feet away from each other. Not at all adhering to restaurant covid regulations. We were extremely uncomfortable but decided to give it a chance. However, as we sat there more people were seated and the situation became more uncomfortable and unsafe. We asked for our entrees to be to go and left. During this time you expect owners to keep this customers safe, but that was not the case. When we got home and tasted our entrees they were also very over cooked and salty. So not worth the hefty price tag and threats to our health. We will not be back. read more

The ribs were great and we tried three different sauces. The service was outstanding! A+ for everything except the comfort of the seating. Had a reservation for two on a Saturday evening . Great ambience and paintings on the walls. The floor tables were a bit high and large . I've heard many great personal reviews and people raving about how awesome the place is. However when our server arrived to our table we should have just left. After we ordered drinks she advised us that they were out of most of the appetizers. We passed and wanted to order our main course. She then chuckled and advised that they were also out of the steaks, brisket, pulled pork, and pretty much everything decent on the menu. So disappointed! It was an awful meal and we will never return. I am very willing to pay for a great meal, however, $64 for an 8 oz. steak that was 1/2 inch thick with more than 1/2 was inedible fat! It had no flavor, poor texture, and was not cooked as ordered either. The accompanying risotto was crunchy and bland. The carrots were fine. Atmosphere and service was the only good part of the dinner. Don't waste your time and definitely not your money. Many other restaurants with far better food and steaks. And what makes this even worse is that they contacted us the day after and offered to send a certificate for us to come and try the restaurant again (before any post any where) but just because we told the waiter of the poor meal the manager took our info and they called the next day. However, about three weeks later...nothing. They sent nothing after saying they wanted to make things right. What a way to stand behind your product. I love the concept, the spaced out seating, the décor, the animals, and the service. I really just thought the meal did not justify the price point. We were expecting the best steak dinner we ever had ordering the wagyu ($65/ 8oz) but it did not live up to that. The Oscar topping was thin on crab. Maybe my palate is not sophisticated enough but the steak I tried wasn't as tender as I expected it to be and the pork chop I ordered was good but I wouldn't say great, it was salty and underwhelming. The oyster's Rockefeller appetizer was good. The sides were good, I had mac and cheese farfalle with crispy bread crumbs and my wife had the loaded mashed potatoes but these aren't hard items to execute. Surprised no bread for the table, wouldn't that be a good opportunity to offer homemade butter? The birthday card and free sorbet were a nice touch. I just left this review on another website. I have never reviewed any restaurant before but I feel people need to be informed before spending their money and time going here. Terrible and awful food and yes it was cold as the reviews state. (The pictures on here are so fake, staged, and probably submitted by the owners). I grew up farming and this place is NOT a farm, certainly NOT stress free environment for animals. The cows eat from round bales this time of year...nuff said. My husband and I dined here last night for our anniversary. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by a signed card and balloon from the staff congratulating us on our anniversary. They were very accommodating of my dairy restriction and provided substitutions that were great. The appetizer of sausages, pickled veggies and cheese (according to my husband) was wonderful. The jalapeño tapenade was delicious and just enough kick! The main course of duck was delicious. Cooked just right as duck is a hard one to master. They did well! Everything was great! I heard about farm to table food and was very excited to try this place since it advertises steaks from this farm are served in the Osso restaurant. I wanted to try their Wagyu Ribeye cut and was informed it was not from their farm but from another local Ohio farm. I asked what grade Wagyu but they did not know what that meant. Disappointing, but I drove all this way for Wagyu so I ordered it anyway. What i was served was the toughest steak I have ever had with very low fat content, the leanest Ribeye I have ever had, (lower than select grade), with non existent flavor. I had not eaten since breakfast and being 7pm I ate it anyway. Extremely disappointed. Desert was a microwaved apple crisp thing that was soggy and old tasting. DOWNWARD TREND since the pandemic. We have eaten at this restaurant several times prior to the pandemic and last night will be our last. We are not sure how badly they are impacted by the lack of qualified employees in the marketplace, but it seems they are struggling. First, our server was pleasant, but incredibly unknowledgeable about the menu--both drinks and meat. In every case she forgot to ask how the meat should be cooked and made repeated trips between the kitchen and our table with these requests. She also had no understanding of the Osso BBQ sauces which added to miscommunications. The kitchen seems to be in trouble from both a time and knowledge perspective. It too, over 1.5 hours to get our meals and nobody, even the hostess, seemed to be concerned. Finally the waitress suggested she would get us bread but even failed at the task. The meats were all severely over cooked. My wife's filet was more well done than medium. For get about meat falling off the bone of the ribs and neither a butter knife or steak knife could accomplish the task--rock hard meat! My wife finally saw how hard I was working and said I needed to say something. To be pleasant I asked the server if the ribs were always this way to hear "for about the past week". I told her they were unacceptable and she brought me brisket. Brisket requires special cutting to make it good. First, I have a hunch it was microwaved, but not certain. Additionally, it was cut with a prime rib cut instead of a brisket cut. It felt more like Spam than anything else. The bottom piece of the brisket was 100% sliced fat. Any chef would know how to cut this prior to even making serving cuts. The fact it came to the table made me leave it on the plate pushed to an aisle corner for all to see--including the hostess. Everybody looked at it but nobody took action! Used to be great, but now overpriced and underwhelming. Not sure we will be returning anytime soon. We ordered bottle wine took 15 min and I ordered a drink 20 minutes. This is not my issue my issue was I ordered a speciality steak cost $140 dollars for the steak. The pork was served cold and whatever sauce was on top, had very little flavor to it but was extremely sticky and thick, probably should have been heated up more. The Chicken was tough and hard to cut, not tender and juicy like most people who raise their own chickens. The food was awful. The atmosphere looks nice, but it's so loud in there due to music blaring and the acoustics, that you can barely talk, you have to elevate your voice for the person across the table to hear you. We stopped for dinner recently. We saw their wagyu special on Facebook and thought we'd take advantage of it. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. Kate, my wife, ordered the 8 oz. wagyu filet, I ordered the 12 oz. wagyu rib steak. Kate's steak was good, but it was a filet so it should be at least good. I seriously doubt my rib steak was wagyu. It wasn't tender, juicy, or flavorful. It wasn't a particularly good steak at all. However, both steaks were breathtakingly expensive. Beside our disappointment with the meal, our waitress didn't offer us water, she didn't provide us with napkins and silverware, and was pretty scares throughout our visit. The noise level in the restaurant makes conversation impossible. After we left, I showed Kate pictures of what wagyu is supposed to look like. She understood my disappointment. She said, by that standard, her steak wasn't so hot either. We've enjoyed their Thursday Hamburger offerings. I guess we'll let it go at that. read more
