Galley is really a great space, super happy to have this waterfront restaurant open to public. We arrive at 2 on a Saturday for a mid day visit. We were able to get a table for my wife and I out on the deck, facing yatchclub. We ordered based on signage on tables for happy hour ( see photo), but no restrictions on day, it wasn't honored. So you get my full evaluation, cocktails were just ok, staff is very nice, but not knowledgeable of product, waitress kept having to go back and ask. Pretzel, is the size of a manhole cover, but not a pretzel, just a tan bread. Burger was ok. Band was good.

One of our favorite date spots! Lovely patio area for a summer evening and the service is fast (:read more

Eight (!) years ago my friend recommended her favorite place - The Fairmount. She emphasized that…read morethe ambiance and cocktails are something to experience. Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.

Living in a "new norm", we've almost forgotten what it's like to be able to have a carefree dining experience, and O&T was able to bring back that true fine dining we've been missing. Patrick's food presentation was absolutely gorgeous, and dinner in the comfort of our own backyard was peaceful and relaxing. It was comforting (and interesting!) to see our food prepped and cooked safely, right before our eyes- something you usually don't get to see when you dine out! Very disturbing and disgusting experience here…read more My husband and I were going to a play next door and were walking along the strip looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite about an hour beforehand. We saw this restaurant and sat on the completely empty patio. A server came outside, gave us menus, and we began looking over them and discussing what we wanted. Two women then walked up and asked us if the restaurant was open. We told them the server would come out, so we essentially brought them business as well. Within about five minutes, the same male server came outside three separate times asking if we were ready to order. He did not offer us drinks or water and seemed increasingly irritated that we were sitting there. The third time, my husband simply said, "We're good for now." The server then picked up a plastic sign that had been lying face down on the table, presumably blown over by the wind, and slammed it aggressively down in front of me, startling me, before storming away. We looked at the sign and saw that it said "Patrons Only." We were completely stunned by the way this was handled. If there was an issue with us being on the patio, it could have been communicated respectfully from the beginning. My husband went inside to ask for a manager. The same man told him that he was the manager and there was no one else. My husband asked for the owner, and after leaving for several minutes, he returned with the owner's phone number written on a Post-it note while insisting that he had done nothing wrong. My husband calmly asked him whether he thought his behavior toward us was appropriate. At that point, the "manager" came from behind the bar and began screaming at the top of his lungs directly in my husband's face, in front of all of the tables in the restaurant, loudly enough that I could hear it from outside along with two police officers who were nearby that rushed in after hearing it. He then got directly in my husband's face and chest-bumped him, escalating the situation physically. Another employee also became involved, yelling at my husband and appearing as though he was going to become physically aggressive as well. I opened the door because I was concerned about what was happening, and my husband and the two officers came outside. The manager never came back outside, and another employee took over the other table. The four of us were absolutely beside ourselves. We contacted the owner from outside the restaurant, but despite being told the owner would follow up, we have had to reach out ourselves and have still not received an adequate response regarding what happened. We are both business owners ourselves, and we cannot imagine treating customers this way. Regardless of whether there was a misunderstanding about the patio, there are professional and respectful ways to address customers. Screaming in someone's face, chest-bumping them, and escalating the situation physically is completely unacceptable. The incident was so loud and disruptive that people who were walking into the restaurant witnessed what was happening and left before they even walked in. This was not a quiet disagreement--it was a very public and extremely aggressive confrontation. We have never experienced anything like this in our entire lives of patronizing restaurants. We filed a police report regarding the incident. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this establishment to be aware of our experience.
