    First mate platter

We were in the mood for a no hassle dinner and we found this place. It looks small on the outside and that's because it's small on the inside! There's three booths and five tables and then two long tables. It feels hometown... , but upscale hometown. They have a bar that looks pretty well stocked. We opted to order from the Friday menu and we both got the First Mate Meal. The prices are good - less than $10 for a complete meal. As others have stated, the service is really fabulous. Our server explained that everything is made to order. But even with that, we did not have to wait long. As for the food, the french fries were seasoned really well and the tilapia was really good too. You get plenty of food. Something we appreciate is that, even though we sat near the speaker and could hear the music, it was low enough that we could easily carry on a conversation . We will definitely come back when in the area and you should check this place out too!

Stopped in for lunch with my daughter and happy we did. Food was delicious and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Reasonably priced!

Big black hair in my sandwich. Obviously not taking extreme measures to ensure a sanitary kitchen. Never eating here again.

Their burgers are great. Nice little place to eat at. It's a bar but their food is restaurant quality.

Hatfield's is located in a strip of shops on Lorain Road in Kamm's Corners. The restaurant has a small patio out front, a nice old school bar along one wall, a bunch of tables and an open kitchen in the back. The decor is casual eclectic Americana. Nice and dark with a comfortable feel. The menu is definitely Southern BBQ influenced, one side is breakfast, which has been rated as one of the best in Cleveland. The lunch and dinner menu is straight up comfort food. As a pescetarian the only entree is the Catfish and Grits, so I got an order to eat and one to go for the next day. The Catfish and Grits came out looking and smelling great. The catfish is smaller nuggets heaped on top of a generous portion of creamy grits with a great sauce, cheese and fresh jalapeno slices. The dish was delicious, perfectly spiced with just the right amount of heat. The jalapeno slices provided spiciness and a welcome crunch to the dish. I was so happy that I not only got to try the dish, but even better is having a second helping for the next day. Service was attentive and friendly, the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to check on the few guests in the dining room, always welcome to see a guy who cares about his restaurant and is proud of the food he is putting out. I would suggest giving Hatfield's Goode Grub a try, if the rest of the menu lives up to the Catfish and Grits it is one of the better local casual restaurants. Well worth your time.

I have never been to this place nor have I ever gone to a sitdown barbecue place. Since I was really overwhelmed I asked the waitress to let the chef pick. I'm so glad I did. I have never ordered hash and he chose it. Really really good! He also chose my favorite breakfast meat and eggs the way I like em! We loved everything about this place, it felt like we were in a Memphis bar not Cleveland Ohio!! The vibe food and service are out of this world!

Upon entering the parking lot this place was pretty busy with patrons for the restaurant and gas station. There's a food counter just inside to place and pick up orders. There are no tables, so it's takeout only, All of the pictures looked so tempting! We opted for the beef shawarma wrap and steak & shrimp fries. They were pretty busy with phone/app orders but we only waited 10 minutes or so for our order. The service was friendly and fast. We walked out with a hefty bag of food and a warning about their signature hot sauce. It didn't take long to realize that we ordered too much food but the food smells indicated that it would all be delicious. The fries were covered in steak, shrimp, cheese, peppers and onions- very much like fajitas. It was so loaded that we had to dig for the fries! We cautiously sampled the hot sauce which was really spicy but in the best way. It really added even more flavor to what was already a pretty good dish. It's actually a highlight. The shawarma was sampled and delicious and will make a great lunch tomorrow. I have downloaded the app and I am looking forward to returning. I definitely recommend this gem.

The portions looked huge and the food looked very tasty. Unfortunately, when I dug in, I was pretty much disappointed all around. I had ordered the six pieces of falafel as well as the birria taco platter. I will say that the falafel looked delicious. Unfortunately, it was a little overdone and had a burnt flavor. To make matters worse, it was tremendously underseasoned and didn't have much of a discernible flavor. The tahini sauce it came with was bitter and not at all what I'm used to after eating Lebanese food for half a century. The birria taco platter, although huge and appetizing to look at, was another letdown. The birria meat had absolutely no flavor. The only thing I could taste was the cilantro, onions, and cheese. I thought I would try some of the consomme to see if that boosted the flavor. Unfortunately, the consomme tasted like water. I dumped some of their hot sauce and green sauce that had come with the order into it to try to give it flavor, but it didn't help a lot. Likewise, the rice was without flavor, other than a few pieces of raw onion and cilantro on top. It did have a slight reddish tint to it so apparently they had put some tomato sauce or paste into it when they cooked it, but other than that, it was quite bland. The beans were actually decent and I ate them all. They weren't refried beans but rather kidney beans done in a tomato sauce. Overall, it was a disappointing $30 meal and I'm not sure I would try Fatima's again.

Simple focused menu, reasonable prices. My husband got the burger and house made fries and I got the small house salad with added fried chicken tenders. Easy pay with credit card and they give you a number that you can take to any seat you find. No soda other than bottled root beer at the bar, but iced water is available for others that don't drink. My husband's smash burger had plenty of cheese and was well seasoned, the fries are amazing and highly recommended. My house salad was excellent, not just an afterthought with included spicy marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh spring mix and feta. The salad dressing was a green goddess - it was amazing, flavorful and bright. Their house made sauces were all wonderful and they should be bottled. Their bbq sauce was spicy and sweet and Dilly ranch is a must try. Highly recommend paying extra for their sauces - may have been my favorite part of the meal. The added fried tenders were only $5, great deal as they are freshly made, large portion and perfect with their sauces. Service was kind and efficient, great overall experience.

Was way too fried and couldn't see the shrimp or taste it. Very weird dish. If you're a vegetarian or a pescatarian your choices are extremely limited. Took a smash burger home and it was basically way too much special sauce and a side of burger! Less of the sauce or on the side would have been the way to go if I would have known. Will not go back as an extremely limited menu. More of a kids hangout where they're not too picky about food. If you are a foodie, this place is probably not for you!
