Have you ever had a Boxty? ‍ This was my first and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! An Irish potato pancake is the base and this Corned Beef version is filled with house prepared smoked brisket, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and topped with Russian dressing... Yum The Tradesman Tavern has beautiful carved wood, granite bar top, hardwood floors and comfy seating will make you feel like the king of the castle. It was built by a bunch of dudes that were all skilled trade workers and it had quite the history, before the owner passed away a few years ago. It has now reopened and they would love to earn your business

We have never been here before. Great atmosphere and beautiful craftsmanship in the architecture. It is a casual bar and tavern crowd. The service was good and the food was delicious. We had the corned beef boxty. It was a tad salty but overall it was good. I added more Russian dressing to balance it out.

After being closed for two years, they are back open!!! The corned beef boxty was INCREDIBLE!!! The house mustard they serve with the pretzels is beyond any mustard I have ever had. It's so full of flavor with a nice bite. Don't sleep on this place!

Hubby and I came here with a couple of friends. None of us had been there in years so we figured we would give a shot. They had a fundraiser the night we went so it was busy. We were able to grab a table pretty easily since the fundraiser was outside on the patio. The server we had was nice but it was his first day. Which as a customer wasn't the best experience because he was very attentive but it seemed like he didn't have mentor to help him out. He was nice, and the service wasn't bad but it could have been better. Personally I feel like that was a poor management call. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza, which was good but pretty average for a Hawaiian pizza. Hubby ordered the brisket boxty. It was good but very salty. Out friends ordered wings with the Thai chili sauce, they said they were good but could have had more sauce, they also ordered the cloud 9 flatbread which they said was good. We ordered 2 rounds of shots, both rounds were the white gummy bears, which is one of my favorite shots. The first round was good the second round as he was carrying the drinks out they did not look right. Once we tasted them it was obvious they were not made correctly. I took them up to the bar and they remade them with no issues. Overall if we had a friend that wanted to go there we would go, but we definitely wouldn't just go back. It was pretty average and nothing special to right home about.

    Brisket Boxty... delicious!

This is a good neighborhood bar. The chili was thick and tasty. My friend had a burger w home made chips. She liked her meal and the drinks were good. The bartender served us at a table, and was attentive and polite. It was quiet on a monday night. I'd like to try their pierogies next time. They have parking out back. This isn't far off 480 so a good midway mtg point.

Quintaesencia was great to work with in June 2026 at accommodating our large group of 21 women, providing is with ample space, a dedicated server, and even making separate checks for all of us. To the surprise of no one, I love South American food. Okay, I like most ethnic cuisines, if not all, but I really love foods like arepas, chimmichuri steak, asado, empanadas, etc! I looked at the menu ahead of time and settled on some faves of mine, arepas and yucca fries, but others in the group ordered a variety of dishes amd drinks, all of which were delicious! I stuck with water as my beverage because the cocktails/mocktails were a bit too pricey for me. I ordered the trio arepas ($18) and a side order of yucca fries ($5), which were very filling and sprinkled with cheese. I liked my meal a lot although I would like to see a few more types of arepas offered on the menu. Our server, Valeria, was absolutely amazing and served our party of 21 women quickly and efficiently. There was a 3% card usage fee as well as an automatic 20% gratiuiy for parties of 6 or more, so after paying with card, my total bill was $30.54. I left full and happy and hope to come back again to try their other dishes, particularly their pizzas and a creative cocktail or two.

I had the Schnitzel Von Schwein (Pork…read moreSchnitzel) with mashed potatoes & gravy with a side of garlic green beans and my boyfriend had the Weiner Schnitzel with fries and sauerkraut. Both were excellent as well as the bread (served warm) & butter. The only problem I had was I ordered the cherry strudel to go and didn't take a good look at it. When I got home, they must have warmed it because it was soggy and moist instead of crispy AND the top was burnt. Certainly NOT worth the $7/slice. Not sure, but I think I counted MAYBE 3 cherries that were smooshed and looked like the cherries forgot to be added and it was so thin too. Not anything I would imagine strudel to look like, AND it was nothing like the picture on the menu. So be warned, if you go there for dinner, food is well worth the price but please, stay away from the strudel dessert. Take a chance and go with something else.

I tried the Shrimp and Grits, which were fantastic, flavorful and well spiced. The classic schnitzel dinner was also great, the breading was crisp and the meat was juicy. We also ordered the winter salad with salmon. Delicious! The schweinhaxe was what brought us here on a Sunday evening as my dad has been wanting to try it for a long time and there's limited availability. It is a slow smoked pork knuckle served with a side of apple bread pudding. My dad reported that the knuckle was tender and flavorful, smoked well and the bread pudding was the perfect compliment. All in all, all of our dinners were delicious and fresh. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu!

We shared the loco moski, paprikash sandwich, and a side of bacon wrapped tots (good option if you just want 2 and not the full appetizer). While the bacon wrapped tots are famous from Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I actually liked the loco moski and paprikash sandwich more. The loco moski is a fun combination between a loco moco but with pierogi, and I like that the peppered gravy wasn't too rich. The paprikash sandwich was also a great combo of chicken, sausage, peppers, cheese, paprikash, on lightly crispy bread. Parking available as free street parking--though you may have to circle to find parking since it's near the Christmas House. Staff were nice and efficient. The place does feel a little tight in terms of space with less lighting, but there's still plenty of seating and what matters to me more is good food. Overall, great place to try local food. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.
