Blue Willow is a local bar that is full of locals! They have a good amount of TVs always playing whatever sports are on. I was their during lent, and enjoyed their shrimp dinner, it was crispy and a good portion. I sat at the bar, so service was great. I came to Blue Willow on Friday night after seeing a movie. A customer was throwing up on the sidewalk when I walked in. The place was trashed. Chairs tipped over. Garbage all over the floor. Everyone in the place was blasted drunk and stumbling around. I sat at an open stool at the bar and had my card out in my hand. One bartender was entering her tips but looked right at me then turned back around to what she was doing and ignored me after that. The other bartender was doing shots with customers. She looked right at me then poured herself another shot. I sat there for 10 minutes until a new customer sat down. The bartender walked right past me and served her friend the new customer. Just don't!!! The $1.75 short draw of Yuengling was the highlight. After the bartender said "the food is really good here", I ordered a cheeseburger with chili on the side such that I could create my own chili burger. The bun was raw, always better toasted at least, right? The burger itself was hard, dry and close to inedible. The chili was room temperature and I've had better out of a tin can. A couple of tablespoons of chopped onion added $.50 to the bill. Fresh cut fries were decent. I'd been driving all day and didn't want to go elsewhere; but I regret the decision to see this through. Bartenders in between their shifts and I got lost in the shuffle. Never bothered to ask me how it was, never asked for another beer, I had to beg for the check. $16.15 before tax, you should be ashamed of yourselves! read more

Had lunch with a friend and this place was great! It is not an overly polished place, but very easy and relaxed! I had the willow burger and it was the best "bar" burger I have had in a long time! A lot of beers on the menu. It is a place I would love to have in my neighborhood! read more

I was so excited to find this little dive when we moved to Macedonia. Finally, a place other than a chain where we can get some good food and drinks. I really enjoy the fish sandwich, which is crispy and delicious, and the daily specials but when we dined in, we felt really uncomfortable. No one was practicing social distancing and only about half the patrons wore masks. We decided to start ordering take out only from then on out. We have ordered maybe 5 or 6 times. The food is still great but it's hard to reach anyone by phone and then when we show up, we have had to wait for 15-20 minutes longer. My husband said the last time he picked up, not even the staff were wearing masks. We will hold off on future orders until this pandemic improves but what a disappointment. I must admit this is my local watering hole for sure. Love the atmosphere and the people here. You always meet someone knew and its a blast to hang out with the girls behind the bar!! The wings are some of the best I have had for sure with there own homemade sauces. Monday night is taco night 3 tacos for $3 Tuesday night is wing night and every night during any Tribe game is $1 build a hot dog night. Add $1 for chili. Some specials they carry during the week. Cincinnati Chili usually on Monday's Meatloaf on Tuesday's Steak Hoagie basically anytime now. I just called blue Willow to ask what the food special was for the evening. The phone was answered by a man and he said "it's Burger night." I asked him what that meant and he said all the burgers were on sale and that I could add whatever I wanted for a set price. I asked what that set price was, and he said "I don't know." I asked if there was someone there that knew and his response was "yes but I'm busy right now." I said "sorry for bothering you" and hung up. 1. Who works somewhere without knowing the specials 2. Why answer the phone if you don't in fact know what the special is 3. Why make a customer feel like they're bothering you for asking 4. Why not just find out the answer In my opinion, you won't stay "busy" for long if that's how you treat your customers. I was in the service industry for 20 years, and not at one of my previous employers would that be acceptable! read more

Such a nice neighborhood hang out. The atmosphere is nice, the food is good bar food The bar maids are nice and pleasant. Pool table if you enjoy playing. The owner is so nice, comes and speaks to her patrons all the time. Very pleasant lady. There are many TV's around, nice place to watch the games if you like. read more

Ordered food last night because we heard food was decent - WRONG. Shrump dinner - shrimp was burnt along with french fries. Probably 7 good fries out of the bunch. No shrimp sauce only tartar. Coleslaw tasted rancid and did not eat. Won't see us again. read more

I went there for the first time last Thursday. I really enjoyed it my server bartender was great fun and makes great drinks. Her name was Shannon . Stopped here the other night after dinner. Didn't eat anything, so this isn't a food review. For a bar, it's an okay place to go. We had been to the old location and this one far exceeds that location at least in cleanliness. The drinks were strong and delivered quickly. The prices are lower than most places I have visited. The bartender was polite and had service with a smile. High marks for the bar area. We played some kind of a bowling game that was fun for all four of us. The bar has a pool table that was in use the whole time. There was a DJ standing in the corner turning some really terrible tunes with K-Mart disco lights spinning around. Honestly I'm not impressed. The beer special is pretty good for a bucket of 5 beers for $10.00 and that made me happy but the food was a miss. The home made chips were ok but required ketchup to be able to eat them, the Philly cheese sandwich while good was quote lacking In the meat department. A good 1/3 of my sandwich was covered by a very small strip of meat. My dining companions also got a philly and an order of chicken strips. She ripped off 1/2 of the bread and threw it away so her sandwich would be meatier and she found a bone in with her sandwich while the little lady said she loved her chicken strips but wished they would have come with something else. Tldr; good strips decent beer special stay away from the Philly or you'll be hungry still. read more

DIVE DIVE DIVE... but the cleanest dive you have ever been too. Reasonable prices on beer, and all the dive accoutrements (darts, jukebox, pool). Service is ok if not very slightly above average. Friendly atmosphere 95% of the time. Some might go in and see the newly constructed bar, and not smell the stale beer and faint vomit aroma that customarily accompanies a dive. Great bar. Went for dinner with my husband. Sat at the bar. I got an order of the mild garlic wings, they were really good. Husband had a burger. The menu is nothing special, your standard bar food. Miller Light and Bug Light were on sale $2.00 for a tall, which is obviously a great deal. Someone else made the comment that this is a clean dive bar, I agree. This spot is not bad. It is right by the freeway and is a hide-a-way. Pleasant people and drinks ok. It is a nice spot to get away.

We got there at 615, thinking that would allow us plenty of time to eat before the 7:40 show. We didn't get our food till almost 7:15!!
