Burgers look great but wasn't that hungry, however the hot dog and side of Mac were huge. Bartenders are great and check back often. The "usuals" that seem to get flack from other posts are great. Go to Applebee's if you don't want a real experience with some hard working folks having a good time! Def be back for the burger!

I know many of the regulars, who are just like me; people who want a beer at a decent price and to relax and have a couple of nice conversations. They've had some turnover in the bartenders, but I have never had any issues with any of them and find them to be very friendly and accommodating. Also, concerning the owners, they couldn't be any nicer to everyone who comes in there. I have read some reviews, some "questionable" ones, calling some people racist who may work there or have worked there. Maple Grove is in a predominately black city, and it has been for years. I'm white, but I almost never go in there when there aren't black people in there as well as white, and oftentimes it's mostly black, which is COOL. We all have fun there. I've found that it is a term thrown around very easily the past few years. I live in Lyndhurst now, but still have a house in Maple, and I've noticed that some people use that term in describing bartenders who don't give them exactly what they want as far as rule bending or whatever, as I have seen it here in a bar I go to in this area when how some people were upset because they were told children were not allowed in due to house rules - very politely and apologetically (I was there) - but the first thing the people who were told this did was run to Yelp and call the person just following the rules "racist". Utterly disgusting and ridiculous, and very, very ignorant. We all realize what is going on, so I'd suggest you take reviews like that with a grain of salt, as I'm sure you already do.

We have been going there ever since MGM Northfield Park was owned by Hot Rock, and I do not recall a better group of bartenders. Whether we have Garrett or Gabi or Deb or Rena or any of the others, we receive fantastic service and always feel welcome. I am especially impressed with the fairly recent efforts at diversity, as one of the areas that needed improvement was racial representation among the staff, and managment responded with two absolutely wonderful bartenders.
