What a clean-quant local bar. I will be visiting again! Prices were good and drinks were too!

Romain lettuce would be appreciated at that price, especially given the minimal protein chicken. You can do better. Love the pastrami and brisket sandwiches but for a salad -go to potbelly or Panera for half the price and a more healthy salad

We haven't seen these friends in a bit so we were kinda eating and lounging and talking. We ordered the original corn beef to split the regular size and we got the homade potato and cole slaw. Our guests got the corn beef as well and potato pancakes as their side. One liked the potato pancakes and one did not. They are mash potato consistency not shredded. I tasted they were ok to me. The potato salad and cole slaw were both good. Better choice. The corn beef actually looked smaller than usual. It was good but I thought it had been larger in the past. Maybe not anymore. Service was good. Food came out on time. This is a good place to go. Prices are a bit high but it's a deli. You can do what we did and split the sandwich. It enough food. Bar is nice. The patio is nice too. It's a good space and they even have a party room if you want to rent it out. Slymans is an institution. We will be back at some point again.

As a sour dill pickle lover, I really loved the cucumber-flavor pickles. They are great for the burger -- adds even more flavor without overwhelming like some pickles can. The pickles taste how I imagine they would when only half through pickling process -- a combo of discernible cucumber with a mild dill flavor. Very nice. I was disappointed with the octopus. It was delicious and uber tender, but only one small tentacle -- not enough to share with anyone. My husband and I can share a meatball at most places but this tentacle was too small. The gnocchi that accompanied it could be a dish all its own. The gnocchi with the potato alone would make a great app. or entree. We were really impressed with the food and are looking forward to round 2.

Example: Ketchup Martini had anchovy and herb oil. Confusing on the palate...and nothing stood out. Octopus dish was smothered a spicy chorizo. Had to scrap the chorizo off just to find the octopus...which had no chance of standing out after the other oils and spices. Shared fried chicken. A bit undercooked. What we could eat was ok...not extraordinary. Wine selection was abysmal. One red wine....in a can. Ceviche was excellent. Service was good.

Good cut and plenty large enough. Must have been 12 ounces of steak with little to no fat. Came with a salad and potato. I also had a bowl of chili which was really good. The door and drink here along with the service and ambiance make this a five star dive bar. I highly recommend!

This is another grandpa bar with decent food. Went here on a Tuesday. They have taco Tuesday's. 2…read moretacos for $4. They also have Mexican pizza, loaded nachos and taco salad. The loaded nacho's are good. They have some spice with the cheese and jalapeños. But you get a decent portion for $5.75. Tacos were good. They are a flour tortilla that's is fried for hard taco. They also have $1 dogs during Gaurdians games. The basic beers on tap like bud light. Basic bar with basic liqueurs. I'd try something else next time. The guy who was serving us was nice. He had all the tables so he was running around. When the Gaurds game started the place filled up. It was also trivia night. We played 1 round and won. It was fun. Bottom line is a typical bar menu. Burgers, wraps, wings and every day is a special. They have basic bar drinks nothing fancy. Bunch of TV to watch the games. Seems like an OK Dads bar. Seems like a normal regular crowd that always goes.
