Great place and great people. Kitchen is limited but food is great when it's open. Prices are good and days are a ton of fun

Great little bar with great service and prices. Food is awesome. Not a punch palace. Great mix of patrons of different ages.

Teschner's Tavern - Brandy Burger with Chips

We went to Teschner's Tavern in Richfield tonight and had a wonderful experience from start to…read morefinish. We had planned to arrive during prime dinner time, so we made a reserved reservation through Yelp, which was definitely the right call. We started with the truffle fries, and even though I don't usually like or order crinkle-cut fries, these were outstanding. They were topped with shaved Parmesan, sun-dried tomato aioli, and truffle basil mayo and were absolutely delicious. For entrées, I had the Brandy Burger with chips, which was fantastic. My husband ordered The Pammy Melt with chips and a side salad, and the homemade ranch dressing was especially good. My younger son had the New York strip steak with sweet potato fries, finished with a bourbon maple syrup glaze that he loved. My oldest son went with the Cheeseburger Deluxe and fries, which he said was great as well. From the outside, the restaurant looks like an old house, and inside it's quite small, but very quaint, cozy, and welcoming. We did wait about 20 minutes for a table, but our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. He checked on us multiple times, offered drinks while we waited, and kept us updated on when our table would be ready. He was kind, personable, and clearly attentive to everyone in the dining area. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a really enjoyable night. We would absolutely go back.

Sip-N-Post - The Dagwood is definitely delicious! Highly recommend. The bread is fresh, the coleslaw is perfect too.

Food: when we were handed the menu, i wasn't expecting anything special and initially thought we'd potentially made a mistake stopping here for lunch. however, i'm pleased to say, the food was really delicious. Danielle had a Turkey Reuben (not on the menu, but they were kind enough to make it). we shared a basket of fries and they were also great - probably more than we needed and a 1/2 basket would have been fine. i had a bowl of chili and a chicken philly. The chili was incredible. i normally have to doctor up a chili w/ a sugar substitute to cut the acid. this didn't need that and had a really nice heat to it. it came with some sort of corn tortillas that i'd never seen but which really made for a nice accompaniment. the sandwich was ok. the taste was good but the chicken was overcooked and dry and i had trouble chewing through the onion, too. overall, 4.5-5 stars for the food. Service: i don't know how i feel about the service. it wasn't really anything special. the bartender was the only person working the front and maybe he was just tired. he wasn't rude or anything just kinda going through the motions. i don't hold it against him at all. in fact, he was - as i'd mentioned before - kind enough to allow Danielle to order a sandwich that wasn't on the menu. Ambiance: i mean, let's be honest. the place is a dive. Danielle apparently knows the owners and says they've never put any money into it and it's kinda obvious. i haven't been there in nearly 20 years prior to Saturday and nothing had changed. where we were sitting the brick floor was beginning to break away from the wall. kinda makes you wonder how long before daylight will be shining through. anyway, overall i really liked my lunch and i'd be happy to add Sip-n-Post to our regular rotation.
