Before commenting on the food, I should mention I prefer traditional diner food and I didn't pick First Watch. With that in mind, everything was good. I struggle with the menu because I don't need avocado, greens, tomatoes or anything else added to my breakfast food...I like Eggs, Bacon, Potatoes and toast (add in a pancake or waffle on the side and I'm thrilled). I always feel like First Watch is trying to hard to be fancy. Everyone did enjoy their meals, everyone did mention the portions we a little small, everyone did feel it was a little pricey but overall everyone left happy. But I have heard good things of the new-ish Fruit Stand, located right by Cleveland's Playhouse Square, so I resigned to paying $13 bucks for a bowl of fruit and granola, and tried it out for lunch before a show in May 2026. This place was HOPPING at 12pm on Sunday in May 2026. And the music they had on were all early-2000s BOPS! It is also very instagram-friendly inside. If I had more time, I would have gotten better pictures. The young girl behind the counter was very sweet and helped me create the best bowl for my mood that day. I ordered the medium acai bowl ($12) although I was worried if I was going to be able to finish it in time for the Broadway show I was going to next door. (Spoiler alert - I definitely finished it!). I got the mixed soft serve base of strawberry acai and peach soft serve. It had melted by the time I got to it as it was on the bottom. #life of a slow eater Then I got to choose 3 fruits. I chose banana slices, strawberries, and pineapple. As for the crunchy toppings, I got half and half of birthday cake granola (yes) and oreos (yes yes)! Then had honey as my drizzle. They were VERY generous with the honey! My creation looked gorgeous! I went and ate it quickly in their upstairs seating space and dealt with a little bit of a sugar crash later in the day! I wish they had some healthier crunchy and drizzle topping options! And my strawberry slices were still a bit frozen. But overall, I loved my lunch from The Fruit Salad. I wish I had had more time to enjoy it since I had to eat it really fast. Next time!!
