Let's start with the Chickenchanga...loaded with meat and veggies rolled into a tortilla with a super sassy sauce and before it could slap your taste buds too hard it rounds out with a bright and refreshing little fruit salad. Then the Works Omlet...meaty with ham, bacon, and sausage and filled out with huge chunks of mushrooms. Nothing overpowered anything else. The sour cream and cheddar gave it the right amount of acidity. And a side salad to keep it a bit light. Now...and it brings tears to my eyes...my masterful Eggs Benedict...first let me say, they did not mind substitutions at all. Ciabatta bread! Yes, ciabatta bread instead of the standard English muffin...perfectly griddled ham, a lemony, light and bright hollandaise sauce that will blow your mind, and the most perfectly poached eggs you have ever seen! The stars and planets aligned. God rays shown down from Heaven. Dogs and cats living together...Utopia in my mouth. There's no other way to describe it. There were enough servers so we were so well taken care of. Our server was personable and sweet and super knowledgeable. The restaurant was open and sunny even though it was an overcast day. I wish I could give this "good-for-nothing restaurant a big fat zero or negative star! My friend and I decided to meet at this place to have a nice reunion since she and I haven't seen each other for so long. We were seated by the male host in the middle part of the dining room. We were watching the servers just go by our table multiple times while we were sitting. That's when I decided to start timing on how long it would take for anyone to serve us or even acknowledge us that we were there sitting in the middle of the dining room. During that time the place was not 'crazy-busy' since there were multiple empty tables around us. No one from their staff even approached us to offer water or coffee. After about 25 mins of sitting "unattended", a large group of people just walked in and were seated behind us. Within a couple of minutes the waitress, who ignored us, immediately started taking orders on drinks from this large group. She was all smile and everything. That's when my friend and I decided to leave the restaurant. Upon leaving the restaurant, I said to the male host great job on the "no service" we received from their establishment. With a grin on his face he said 'thank you' to me. That's when I even got more mad that his grin is showing satisfaction that we never got served by anyone. I asked him, "what are you smiling at?" I added, "how come the large group of people who just walked in immediately got served and we were just ignored?" That's when he took his grin off his face and said "sorry." I said, "you're not sorry." I will never, never go back to this ugly, evil place ever again. If they just told us in the first place that we are not welcome to their establishment, they would have gotten my respect for being honest. I'm in the food service industry myself for 30 years and I know what a good customer service is. Sadly, none of it exist at First Watch in Macedonia, OH. The arrogant attitude from the staff at this establishment is just a reflection of having bad management and bad owners all around. I think everyone at this establishment should attend a sensitivity training. This place does not deserve my hard earned dollars to go to after how First Watch in Macedonia treated me and my friend. I'm even a big tipper. So for anyone that maybe hungry, do not go to this place. Go to Bob Evans, I-Hop, Zuki Sushi House, anywhere but First Watch in Macedonia. My friend and I ended up in Zuki Sushi House down the street where we received great service. STAY AWAY FROM FIRST WATCH in Macedonia, unless you want to be ignored by the staff. I went into the restaurant today at 11:10 AM I ordered a trifecta breakfast requested that the bacon be crispy without any visible white fat and that the pancake be on a separate plate from the two eggs I ordered over medium. After waiting 15 minutes to get the food, nothing came as I ordered it. The bacon was burnt and the blueberry pancake was on top of the over medium eggs. I guess the cook was insulted because I sent it back, because after another 10 minutes, the waitress returned what looked like to me the same bacon, the same toast, the same eggs and the pancake on a separate plate. Although I gave the waitress a tip for her diligence to try to get the order right, I didn't eat or pay for the food. I left the restaurant after 45 minutes because I was pissed! Came here for brunch after a morning hike at Cuyahoga National Park. Waiters were extremely welcoming as we came in, and were great throughout our meal. The restaurant was packed with lots of locals, who looked like they were having a good time. The interior was comfy and very welcoming. My girlfriend and I shared a steak and hash plate, and a lemon pancake dish. The steak and hash plate came with 2 eggs, mushrooms, and lots of potatoes. I wish that maybe it came with a slice of toast, because we weren't too full after. However, the lemon pancakes were very filling and tasty. The hostess apologized and took our drink orders. I ordered a club sandwich and an iced coffee. The sandwich came with a cup of soup. The food was cold so it must have been sitting a while. Despite the temperature, the items did taste good. I especially liked the minestrone soup. The sandwich was just okay as the bread was dry. The iced coffee was very good. This experience is unique to this location as we have had good service and food at other First Watch locations. Hopefully just a bad day. read more

You can never go wrong with first watch and especially not this location. This was our second time here and like the first time, we're thoroughly impressed with the service and quality of food we received. Everyone was insanely sweet and considerate and it was just a happy environment that left us feeling quite invited. The food was amazing as always- highly recommend the biscuits and gravy- I devoured that meal so fast! The banana French toast was also a must get- it's so flavorful we didn't even need syrup. One caveat is that the iced coffee wasn't my favorite. I'm usually a fan of a strong coffee punch and this definitely missed the mark. However, their hot coffee is always a moves. Stopped here for breakfast this morning. Was greeted when I walked through the door. After I sat down at a table, a server took my drink order. I enjoyed hot coffee! Their coffee is really good and it's smooth too. I can drink it black without adding cream or sugar. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast, and all the food on it tasted great. It's was served hot and I could tell it was freshly made. It also came with more bacon than I expected. This was a pleasant surprise. All staff members were working hard. My boyfriend and I stopped in Ohio over night on our way to a wedding in Michigan. We woke up this morning and I knew I wanted something healthy but filling...while my boyfriend loves huge greasy breakfasts....so the thought of finding a place that would satisfy both of us seemed impossible, but first watch did more than just satisfy us! First off their iced coffee literally tastes like ice cream - a complete dream. 100% worth the 160 calories. Their avocado toast has huge chunks of avocado not an avocado spread mixture like most places. As well, the poached eggs were perfect. I ordered a side of their cheesy grits, they were cooked just right. My boyfriend got a Belgian waffle which he devoured in one minute. His breakfast sammy had eggs, bacon, avocado on a brioche bun (his latest obsession) - he was throughly impressed. Aside from the food, the service was fast and friendly just how we like it from Washington DC. Lots of friendly waitresses who all smiled and helped me get my coffee to go before we hit the road for the rest of our road trip. I'll preface by saying I have been to multiple locations of first watches many times (Mainly tennessee locations). This is my first time at this Macedonia one and wow...worst one I've ever been to. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen. The potatoes weren't cooked. The eggs weren't cooked. The grits were watery garbage. First and last time coming here. I ordered the truffle hash and the potatoe hash part wasn't even lukewarm. My daughter ordered the trifecta and her chicken sausage was dry, eggs were broken, and her French toast was so cold the butter didn't even melt. My granddaughters pancake was black on the bottom. Completely unacceptable. By the end of the stay a manager finally came to the table and although apologized tried giving me the excuse that they are understaffed. First time I've seen the "get on the waiting" list link on Yelp, what a cool option!!! I called ahead to see how long the wait was at this restaurant and then clicked the get on the waiting list link. It told me we had 8 parties ahead of us and was pretty close to the time she quoted over the phone. We got there within the 10 minutes allowed and there were now only 4 parties wait. The App Kept track (as I did) for each group seated and just as promised we were seated on time in order, epoch!!!! Now for the review ....The service was phenomenal, so so busy but we never felt rushed or ignored. Our every request was fulfilled with a quick response and a smile.
