Met here with my neighbor to plan a trip, a few days ago. I got the uncle Jimmy burger which is now probably my favorite burger. The service was very good, opening a table up for us swiftly, not to mention the servers and bar staff were very nice to chat with. The ambiance was great, lots of TV'S playing good games and channel. Also the vibe in there is just upbeat. Lastly the shakes are to die for! So please get one! read more

Service is friendly, but can be very slow at times. The food is alright but pricy for what it is. The ambiance is fine, too. They are very accommodating for big reservations. However, they do not have a non-alcoholic drink menu. I have no idea what their full non-alcoholic drink menu is still and I've been eating here for years. This is a somewhat elevated pub food experience. They are known for their milkshakes, which looked great and can be spiked with whiskey if you're in the mood. Burgers, fries, mac and cheese, pizza are their other staples. We had a couple drinks and shared a pizza, which was good. The crust on the pancetta pizza was incredibly chewy yet crispy, the perfect balance. The sauce and cheese were very salty but counterbalanced with a mound of arugula to help cut the intensity. The restaurant sits on a corner in a picturesque downtown Hudson where some of the streets are still paved with only bricks. And the menu is mostly paved with burgers though that is not all, not nearly all. They offer a generous amount of local and draft beers and their liquor prices are ridiculously low! My husband and I came to this restaurant for the first time today. From the ambience, the food and the service, we had an amazing time! I have the patty melt with fries which was delicious, and my husband had the Reuben, which he said tasted great! Our server Grace was amazing! She made sure our drinks were full all the time and she always asked us if we were OK? One thing I cannot stand is to have to hunt down a server for a refill on water or drinks. A good server knows when to come and replenish drinks. Grace was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Stopped in here for the first time for lunch, and was so happy with my visit! I love the interior, very rustic almost tavern vibe and I'm glad they have some TVs. I got the flip-side burger and added pickled jalapeños to it (1$ charge), I was so happy with the fact they offer grass fed burgers first of all. This burger was so juicy and delicious, and I'm glad the house bbq came on the side because I wasn't the hugest fan of the flavor. The bun was a bit thin so I found it got really soggy so I probably wouldn't put the sauce on the bun again. Burger was delicious, it didn't come with lettuce or tomato but the staff gladly brought out a whole plate for me that I could top my burger with. Which is so awesome. Some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! Super crispy and the horseradish sauce was really good. The onion rings were crispy, but didn't really hold together well. The sauce made up for that tho, wow was it good. This is a hidden gem. My husband loves burgers. So I was scrolling to find a place that had amazing burgers for a great price. Well this place did not disappoint. If I'm not mistaken, Flipside, Three Palms, and Porta Rossa are all owned by the same company, and our family has always enjoyed all three. Unfortunately, tonight's experience at Flipside was disappointing, and I won't be returning for a while. When we arrived, the hostess immediately asked my dad if he was a DoorDash driver. She was very sweet and friendly, and seemed young, but the interaction still felt like a microaggression, as my dad is Black. It came across as a lack of exposure rather than bad intent, but it was uncomfortable nonetheless. Service throughout the meal was lacking. Our waitress seemed annoyed whenever we asked questions. My dad ordered a milkshake, followed up multiple times, and didn't receive it until we were about to leave. By then it was already melting, making it seem like it had been sitting out. His soup was also served lukewarm. Our family is usually very patient, but the attitude, delays, and food issues made this a frustrating visit. read more

We had a supposed 45 min wait for a table for 7 which turned into an hour wait. Meanwhile, there were several empty tables, but the hostess could not figure out how to seat us even though we said we would be fine at separate tables. Once we were finally seated, it took another 15 minutes before our order was taken, over 30 minutes for our food to be served and they forgot one meal and the drinks. The French fries were cold and the French Onion soup was not edible- it was like taking spoonfuls of salt. The sound level was awful also- extremely loud. Overall a terrible experience and meal. The food here is quite good, never fails and I have gone here regularly throughout the years. I always get sweet potato fries, and I try to switch up my entree each time, but I am never disappointed. Delicious American style food. I love when a restaurant chain is consistent, and both are Columbus and Hudson locations tasted the same. Everyone we've ever taken here is satisfied, including kids who seem to love their macaroni and cheese. Only reason why I'm giving them four stars vs five is that there have been a few times where service has been slower, but I wouldn't let that hold you back because the food is worth it. read more

We visited here for a girls night out. It was a bit of a wait on Saturday at 7 ( about 40m). They don't take reservations. We ordered a Marguerite pizza, the flip side burger substituting the burger with chicken and the forester burger substituted with chicken. Sandwiches come with delicious fries ( a little salty on one platter). We had a cosmo and a vodka soda all good. Overall, highly recommend for food and service. It's a little noisy unless you're in a booth, but it adds to the liveliness of the place. It'd be great if they took reservations. read more

We decided to try Flip Side because the Seed Oil Scout App rated it high for not using seed oils. The staff said the fries are cooked in lard and they may be the best fries I've ever had. The decor is sharp looking and nicely executed. The service and staff were great. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that my burger was a little over cooked. I ordered medium, but it was closer to well done. It has caramelized onions and bacon on it, and a fancy bun, and it was fabulous though. The other three burgers were cooked to order. Been a while since we got food from Flipside. They have an online ordering feature that my brother took full advantage of. Our food was ready a few minutes early so we were able to eat right when we got back home. A good tasting & hearty, grass fed, beef patty with a gluten free bun. The hostess greeted us upon entering and went back to grab our food. Upon getting home, it was really easy to divide up seeing how the boxes were all labeled with it's contents. There was a good mixture of seating if you wanted to go in or out. I liked what had done with the inside. Very new and trendy. They have some good food places in that downtown Hudson. This is for sure one of them! We will definitely be returning in the future. read more

Forester burger was tasty despite it being a sloppy mess to eat. I took out the fried ....shitake mushrooms?... as my mouth would never make it around the burger otherwise. I go here for lunch every couple of weeks when I'm in Hudson. Love the Bison burger, but have had salads and entrees, they are all good!

All of the burgers are amazing. If you aren't in the mood for a burger the other sandwiches are really good as well. Service is always great. I never have any complaints. read more
