Picked up some food from Steele House and it was fantastic! We had the spicy avocado chicken wrap (gluten free), the Philly (gluten free) and the meatball sub. They were all delicious. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free options and were very helpful. Although we did not dine in the restaurant looks to be a great spot for a date night any night. Always drove by this place and they were always busy, so we had to check it out! We went for lunch and it was amazing. The menu has great options to choose from and what we chose was absolutely delicious! The fries were fresh cut, the best kind, and sandwiches were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The hot honey sliders, I was so glad there was not any hot sauce or buffalo, that is not "hot honey" so glad they kept their word!! So many restaurants use hot sauce and it is not good. This was a great flavor and a true hot honey taste. Truffles fries are of course our favorite and service was fast and friendly. I understand why they're busy now! It was delicious! read more

The food was so good. We got an appetizer (breaded mozzarella wedges) and an entree. I got their short rib sliders and french fries. Loved the mozzarella wedges. 2 big wedges atop a marinara sauce to dip it in. My short rib sliders were fantastic. Loved the thyme horseradish sauce and if you like caramelized onions you'll love these, they are loaded up in the sandwiches. Lots of meat in these 2 small sandwiches too. My husband got the salmon sliders and the fish is nice and plump. Service was great. Not sure if we were there early (around 5), there weren't a lot of servers at the time. The young lady running the bar was tending to the tables, but was on top of everything, well done! The restaurant itself was cool with all black decor. They had tvs throughout to keep up on any sports games being played. Really cool place, I'd definitely go back! read more

Driven past it enough for work that we finally made the trip up last Saturday evening. Chilly out and the place was pretty packed into the waiting area at 530, but we didn't wait too long. Server was pleasant and the food came out in decent time. Reminds me of Rocknes inside. Kind of. My Cuban was good as were the brussel sprouts I tried. Everyone seemed pleased with the food for the most part. There's nothing to do in the immediate vicinity before or after eating here. We live 35 minutes away, it's doubtful I'll drive up here just for this again. Maybe if I happened to be in the area. Probably great for the folks that live within 10 minutes or so. Worth at least a look. Nothing blew me away. read more

My wife and I have eaten at Steele House twice now since it opened and have been very pleased with the food, the service, and the atmosphere--it's becoming one of our new favorite go-to restaurants when we feel like treating ourselves to a nicer meal. We have been longtime fans of its sister restaurant, Darby's on 59, and we've been happy to discover that it's same commitment to overall quality and value can be found at Steele House. We enjoyed a couple of Darby's signature dishes like sliders and the tempura battered green beans, which have also found their way to Steele House. The menu here offers enough variety to have a casual meal or something more upscale and we've had both types of meals, to our absolute delight. The casual meals feel a bit elevated without being pretentious when we've wanted something simple. The first time we came, I had a Western burger and my wife had a Reuben--both were delicious and came with an ample supply of their thin French fries. We ate every last one of our fries and had to take the rest of the food home. At our most recent visit we wanted a nicer meal, so my wife had the blackened salmon with lemon goat cheese risotto and zucchini ribbons and I had a 10 ounce strip with broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes. My steak and her salmon were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Portions were plentiful, and has been our experience both times, we had enough to take home for the next day. If there was any criticism from our most recent meal it would be the use of salt on our sides seemed to be a bit too much, but not enough to ruin the meal. We've had dessert here both times we've come and have enjoyed the crème brûlée and the cheesecake with berry coulis--both so enjoyable! We both recommend the sparkling orange martini. It's delicious and refreshing and has been consistent in the mix each time. Finally, our service has been excellent both times we were here. Our servers were attentive, cheerful, and able to provide great recommendations both times we've come. It can get very busy here on the weekends, which is why we liked coming early, before 5:00, in order to beat the dinner rush. Great restaurant--can't wait to return! read more

We walked out wishing we had gone to the Costco food court because the food would have been better. The waitress was the only positive in our experience. Ordered 3 burgers with fries. 1 burger was completely raw and the waitress was super nice about it. Some of the fries were also extremely undercooked across our 3 plates. We laughed when she brought out just a patty - because the undercooked meat seeping through the bun made it extra appetizing to eat. My husband and I dined here recently with another couple. We all ordered different types of burgers, and none of them disappointed! I personally ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and loved it. It was super flavorful and juicy. I also loved my fries that came with a delicious aioli. I also really enjoyed the French onion soup which was served hot but not too hot to eat which is usually the case with this type of soup. I'd say the calamari was probably the weakest item that was ordered. It wasn't bad but nothing really made it stand out. The waiting area is warm and welcoming with a tv to view. The restaurant vibe is pleasant and warm but could definitely be spruced up a bit. Our server was very friendly and helpful with recs! We will absolutely be back! read more

New place that filled the shell of the old rockne's. Fresh paint, furniture, layout, and lighting, different food but also some super similar. They still have the classic picture hung in the lobby. Food was really good, Brussels didn't have much flavor, but everything else was good. Our server Elana was very attentive and did a great job. They haven't been open long but little things get noticed in a new restaurant (typos on the menus, paint smears on the walls, tiny things that can make a restaurant stand out). read more

We came in on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy with two large parties of 10 - 12 students and coaches so we sat at the bar. The bartender was very busy but cleaned our bar top and got our drink order quickly. First time in the place since it had been renovated and really enjoyed the bar area and the layout of tables and the new decor! We both ordered burgers with fries and tots and it did take a bit to get our meals I think because of the large parties and possibly stretched staff as we noticed the bartender helping with bussing and serving, we just enjoyed the place and our beverages.... Burgers were great and we will be back to check out the rest of a very interesting menu! Just wish there was outdoor seating for the summer like Darby's! read more

This review is colored a bit, I know you are newly opened but you have experience with Darby so I expected more. 1. Ambiance - nicely done. The place looks great -5 2. Drinks. The SH Smash was solid and wine is wine but a generous pour - 5 3. Wait for food. We ordered Cheddar/Broccoli and French onion. Broccoli/Cheddar was good-4 the French Onion was too many herbs the longer it sat the stronger the flavor. - 2. Took 35 minutes from order time 4. Entrees. Rubin - never, never make a Rubin with shredded corned beef and it was soggy. Couldn't pick it up had to eat with fork ; a cardinal sin -2 (at best). French fries were soggy -1; Hot honey Chicken Sliders - 4 were done well but again French fries soggy -1. All that said, we are Darby fans and will give it another go. My daughter and I went to Steele House for lunch. We ordered a burger, fries, Reuben,French onion soup, iced tea and a Coke. Our server was very pleasant, taking our orders, and always checking to see if we needed anything. The food arrived, but it was disappointing: not bad, but lacked seasoning and flavor. The soup tasted like a bowl of hot, black pepper with few onions, not what was expected. The Reuben was served chopped and shredded, and under seasoned. The fries and drinks were fine, but the burger was bland for a cheeseburger. We are willing to return for a second chance, however. The bill for two was$45.00 excluding tip, a little expensive. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate the place a 6, a little above average, especially with a limited menu, with not as much variety as the former Rockne's. The food was delicious. The owners did a great job bringing this great restaurant to Stow. My group had to be on the waitlist, but it was worth it. The appetizers we had were fresh and delicious. The quality and taste of the burgers (Swiss mushroom burgers) were great and really filling. Highlight recommend the Steele House. read more

I order consistently online and the experience is good. If you're pleasant with them, they'll be pleasant back, all's good on the Midwestern front. Food, I can't say the same thing about - it's just wildly inconsistent. The burgers range from pretty good to so dry the Sahara's jealous of the desert those burgers have become. I just had the Maple Salmon salad tonight and it was atrocious - the dressing was gloopy at best, there were two pretty tiny bits of salmon given and the goat cheese was bitter. They also completely forgot the dried cranberries that were supposed to be in the salad. Another visit, I got the house salad and the chicken was burnt to a crisp. 2/5. As of tonight, they opened to friends and family, so an in-house dining experience is going to be present soon, but it's not available as of the writing of this review. Shaping up to be a very nice looking place with good atmo. There's some good work being done here, but a lot of it is mired in really inconsistent food, which tends towards poor or even just forgetful. We live very close to Steele House and have been looking forward to its opening. We have eaten there 3 times and each meal was delicious. They do an excellent Smash Burger and short rib pasta and sliders. Service and kitchen wait time are also to be applauded. We will continue to visit once a week or likely more. Food was not what as described on the menu. The Maple Salmon salad had a bland and very small piece of salmon. The dressing had no maple flavor. The grilled chicken sandwich was supposed to have a garlic aioli, but it was forgotten and the chicken was overcooked. It's new and I'm hoping they can work out these consistency and quality issues. I'd give them another shot a few months from now. read more
