Everything here is designed to offer fast service to the many Park visitors, and with that in mind, they rated 4 stars. This restaurant is approximately midway in the stretch of the Cuyahoga National Park, so it was very busy on a Saturday morning. We were able to find outside seating in the shade, which was enjoyable. The team of servers were working well together, I think they are used to large quantities of people! The meal was simple, the ingredients were basic, and the service was fast - all designed to move people in and out quickly. They had a large parking area to accommodate the crowd which was great! If you get a chance, take a walk to the bathroom and look at the photos and memorabilia on the walls. The was a sweet framing of an old time, 1-page telephone directory. The bottom right corner was something to giggle about.

Went here for a business meeting and the service was great. Food was also great. We got the lunch special quesadillas as well as a Philly steak and Swiss sandwich. The only thing I didn't care for was the horseradish or wasabi mayonnaise but that's a personal preference. I would preferred straight mayonnaise. The eggplant fries were epic! Out of all the wings that we had the Thai chili was the best. Then the garlic and the buttermilk ranch were my least favorite. Deviled eggs were uniquely put on top of a bread and butter pickle and had some nice hot pepper jelly on top. Very creative and tasted great.

This cafe in a ramshackle gathering of buildings is a great option in Peninsula. People were gathering for the clambakes, but as a native Long Island girl, I thought Peninsula a little too far from the shore to venture down that critique. Instead I reached for the pig, in this case a pulled pork number that delighted my tongue with texture and a tangy sauce. Mom ordered her typical litmus test for a new joint, the patty melt and was satisfied. Service was a little slow with what appeared to be kitchen issues but hey, we all have an off day. The food was worth the wait.

Updating my review. After my initial visit, I've been back a couple of times. I find myself looking for a reason to come out or meet a friend here. Great fries, we also had the fried mushrooms (a bit expensive). The burgers are amazing! And as always, the fries are phenomenal!

A couple weeks late on this review due to vacation. Atmosphere: My partner and I stopped here on our way back home from visiting my family in Brunswick Hills. The atmosphere was POPPIN'! It was a beautiful day and walking up, there were a ton of people sitting outside, the grill was going and the air was filled with laughter and summer vibes. The inside was just as busy. We opted for a seat at the bar so we weren't too too crowded. Food: At first, we were literally just stopping to have a shot after the family get-together. But then the bartender mentioned that they were grilling ribs and I couldn't help myself. We got our shot of whiskey and ordered a half rack of ribs to share (we had hamburgers and hotdogs a few hours before). The ribs came out, great presentation. My partner did not care too much for the rub on the ribs, But I found them to be delicious. In my opinion, they could have been a little more "fall-off-the-bone" but they probably can't do a "low and slow" on their ribs with a packed house. Also, if they hadn't been as busy, I would have gotten some sweet treats to go but they were nearly out of everything because of how busy they were. No fault to them. The thing that got me teetering between a 3 and a 4 star review was the fact that I was completely unaware that my ONE SHOT of whiskey was going to be just as much as our plate of ribs. I am not even joking. I asked the bartender and he said "yeah, the owner really charges a lot for the bourbon". Honestly ridiculous. Overall: I would say that because of the ambiance and yummy food, we would be excited to go back but geez, I like having a stiff drink with my means and if I am paying the same for a shot of whiskey as I am a whole plate of food, that just doesn't make sense to me. We would have to go there and just have food with nothing to drink or go someplace else. Although we would LOVE to try some of the delicious sounding dishes, we may just have to try some of the other local haunts.

My FAV spot when visiting CVNP. They have an awesome patio in the summer! Always fast and friendly service, and their food and drink specials are always great! got the mahi mahi tacos this time and the Peninsula punch, both did not disappoint. Also highly recommend the crab cake as an appetizer.

The food was hot and had good texture. Loved the eggplant fries. Patio has a good vibe!

Fisher's is a great spot for a quick lunch in the heart of Peninsula. I like most things on the menu, and it's perfect right after a hike or a bike ride. This time, I got the Prime rib and Onions and mushrooms sandwich (pub style) and a cup of the chicken noodle soup. They were both filling and tasty. And not too expensive! Service is great too.

Great place to eat. Friendly staff. Attentive and prompt service. We had mahi tacos with egg plant fries, pulled pork sandwich and onion rings. All excellent. Will go here again. Busy for lunch and dinner on the weekends

Lobster bisque and crab cake both amazing!

Great lunch after an amazing day of hiking! We had perfect spring weather so got to enjoy the patio and couple drinks! I had heard this place had great crab cakes and they were correct! Delicious and went perfect with the Lobster bisque! We loved everything about the area and will be back!

Took the CVSR railway up from Akron and stopped in before I began my bike ride. The deviled eggs were delicious and lobster bisque smooth and tasty. The deviled eggs were topped with a honey bacon jam. Definitly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat. Just note that that they stop serving breakast on the weekends at 11 which is the same time the train gets in so youll probably miss bfast if trying to catch it after getting in on the train.

Came here before going to the Ledges Overlook for a sunset view before starting the week while traveling for work. I really liked the interior & location bc it makes you feel like you're at a cool diner. I got carry out with the Chicken Tenders & Eggplant Fries. Both may seem like they weren't too much food but it was a perfect amount. The fries were amazing & the wasabi aioli was top notch add. The Chicken Tenders are amazingly lightly battered. The co-worker's of mine who live in the area told me the next day they have amazing wings but i wanted something less messy since I was going to enjoy this at the Ledges. Would definitely go back

We had planned to arrive during prime dinner time, so we made a reserved reservation through Yelp, which was definitely the right call. We started with the truffle fries, and even though I don't usually like or order crinkle-cut fries, these were outstanding. They were topped with shaved Parmesan, sun-dried tomato aioli, and truffle basil mayo and were absolutely delicious. For entrées, I had the Brandy Burger with chips, which was fantastic. My husband ordered The Pammy Melt with chips and a side salad, and the homemade ranch dressing was especially good. My younger son had the New York strip steak with sweet potato fries, finished with a bourbon maple syrup glaze that he loved. My oldest son went with the Cheeseburger Deluxe and fries, which he said was great as well. From the outside, the restaurant looks like an old house, and inside it's quite small, but very quaint, cozy, and welcoming. We did wait about 20 minutes for a table, but our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. He checked on us multiple times, offered drinks while we waited, and kept us updated on when our table would be ready. He was kind, personable, and clearly attentive to everyone in the dining area. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a really enjoyable night. We would absolutely go back.

The service is consistently "sturdy" as the English say. The food menu a a great pub offering of the usual fare of nachos, burgers, pizzas, wraps, wings etc. The difference is, these people are 100% consistent across all locations. That's rare to achieve. That shows good food cost control and quality control across the corporate level. It has a truly fun atmosphere and super friendly staff. I love the branding and even have a "Winking Lizard" mug that I've carried with me through St. Louis, Missouri, Chicago, IL, Cleveland, and now back to St. Louis. I shall miss coming here regularly. Every location is really exceptional. THIS is the place to keep on your "go to" list when you're not sure where you want to go, but do want consistently good pub food with friendly service. It was brighter out there than in the main restaurant and made for nice seating. After perusing the menu, we went for the black n' bleu burger, the B.O.M.B. burger, the chipotle garden vegetable chili, and orders of fries and their jalapeño bottle caps. All were great! The mac and cheese on the BOMB burger was creamy and excellent, and my companions really enjoyed their burgers. The chili was awesome...I have been thinking about it since. The fries were fresh and hot (they needed salt, but good other than that), and the jalapeño bottle caps were the right amount of spice and came with a perfect cup of ranch for accompaniment. Their hot sauce is great too! Service was friendly and efficient as well. Burgers are a touch pricey considering they don't come with fries or anything and the place is cash only, but other than that no complaints. We will be back for sure. Thank you, Whitey's!

This experience was slightly different, and that may just be what I ordered.... My group ordered the Firecracker burgers, Maggy, side of fries and tots. Fries: delicious!! Hot and fresh cut. Its very hard to find a fry this good anymore. Tots: Also very good paired with the Whiteys hot sauce. Although, there is nothing very special about the tots. I assume they are frozen and simply reheated much unlike the fries. Burgers: It seemed to be the general theme that everyone thought their burgers were cooked just right. However the beef lacked any flavor or seasoning whatsoever. A little salt or pepper on the grill would've gone a long way here. I was disappointed as the beef is arguably the most important part. Mushrooms and onions: Also lacked any flavor whatsoever and needed some form of seasoning. Not sure if it was steaming in a crockpot all day, but it needed something more. Firecracker fried jalapeños: A complete hit and everyone thought they were fantastic. They need to add more of the special sauce also. Service was acceptable. Not many complaints or comments to be made there. Lighting was dark, and place wasn't very crowded for a Monday. Overall 6.8/10.

I didn't like the decor (or lack of it), the many TVs were distracting and loud (is this supposed to be a sports bar?), the other diners were super annoying and loud and even though there were only 2 tables seated inside with us on a Tuesday evening, they all knew each other and made such a racket. I was just trying to enjoy a date night with my Boo and we were constantly repeating ourselves over the din of these "woo men" and "woo girls" hahahahaha. Okay, onto the very mediocre food--I got the shrimp and grits. The description and the picture of this dish on the website looked so buttery, creamy and delicious. What I actually got was undercooked, dry, gritty grits and SUPER salty gravy that gave no other flavor. I do admit they gave me enough shrimp for the dish but it was not very good. My BF got the brisket sandwich and it looked so dry. I had a bite and it was so plain! No caramelized onions or sauce...he said the cole slaw was not bad. This place also annoyingly adds a 3% credit card fee, FYI. So in summary, life is way too short to spend it eating undercooked, salty food in such a fratty sports bar setting.
