The food is always good and the staff is top notch. I recommend Janes's to everyone. My favorite is the Corned Beef Hash.

I tried Jane's for the first time recently, and I was impressed with the options and the friendly service. I ordered pierogies from the lunch menu, and they were large, thick, flavorful, and served nice and hot. The space is styled nicely and has an impressive (and slightly overwhelming) plant collection. We met family here for brunch, and what a treat! They were able to accommodate a party of 12 with not much notice and were very friendly about it. I can only speak for the things I ate, although everything I saw looked great. We started with potato soup that was quite possibly the best soup we have ever had. Then we (wife and I) shared a rueben, pierogi, and smoked kielbasa. The rueben was very good (to be fair, I have never met a rueben I didn't like) , the pierogi were HUGE and tasty - wish I had been able to bring home leftovers, and the kielbasa was pretty good - that I'd say 3.9/5. As a bonus, I tried my cousin's Dutch Baby - that was very tasty. Service was great, especially with a party our size and a generally full place. My only wish was that there was a beer (of Eastern European nature, ideally.) I'd be happy to dine here again. read more

We were there for a late breakfast this morning and the place was packed, we had a little wait but they were moving quickly to make sure we got a seat after a table because open . I had the Italian skillet and it was awesome. This place was a really cute spot! The menu was very large and impressive for such a little diner! We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and were seated right away. The tables in the middle (where we sat) were kind of in the way, so we felt a little stressed. Someone did end up spilling coffee on my chair :/ My coffee was served in a to go cup bc they didn't have any coffee cups clean. Not a big deal but just kind of a bummer. Coffee was good though. Service was okay. Water cup stayed empty for most of the time though. My French toast was great! Was walking around Medina square and stumbled across Jane's. My sister and I saw it said breakfast all day and that's a sure fire way to get us to come in. Firstly the decore is so cute. Seating is a little hard if you don't get a booth but that's minor. I got their French toast, wonderful. The staff were super nice and I'd easily go back! read more

This is a really good find right in the middle of Medina! I've now eaten here 2x and both times it's been fantastic. They specialize in some Eastern European foods like chicken paprikash and cabbage rolls, potato pancakes and more. Plus they have your every day favorites from eggs and pancakes. Honestly, you cannot go wrong ordering anything. It's all good. They also have pies that look super good though I did not try any. Hopefully next time. The prices are about $12-14 on average per dish and the staff is super nice. Parking is anywhere on back or around the square. It's a very nice meal at a local establishment. We stopped in after some holiday shopping in the area. Hoping for a nice diner vibe, this place fit the bill. It was very busy around lunchtime but we were seated right away. Unfortunately, we were seated around the same time as a large party and were not warned. Our server was friendly but did seem a little overwhelmed. And, it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. So, that left us a little on edge. We ordered the chicken paprikash, bagel and fries, and a latke on the side to try it. The latke was not my favorite version of latkes that I have tried- it definitely felt more pancake like than others I have had. My partner enjoyed the paprikash but it also felt a little more bland than others I have tried as well. The bagel was good with really yummy lox and I liked the home fries. We did speak to the owner about our service and she was very courteous and did everything she could to make it up to us. So, I appreciate that she took our criticism so kindly. It really would have just helped to be warned that we might be waiting some extra time for our food or reassured sometime before our food finally came out. I'm sure they're working hard to improve. We really like the makeover this restaurant has received since it was Eli's. We enjoy visiting especially for the breakfast special which is excellent! Great food and great service every time we've been there. The only downside is that being such a popular place it often takes a while to find nearby parking, and sometimes there is a short wait for a table. Overall, highly recommended! read more

Jane's on the Medina Square is a small restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. The place is nothing fancy, but there's a homey feel. Good coffee! A nice medium roast that was full flavored. Refills available. My gf selected the Classic breakfast: eggs, toast, sausage or bacon, and home fries. I ordered a Lox bagel, which comes with home fries. Both meals were delicious with good portion sizes but neither too big nor too costly. Our server was friendly and knew the menu well. We enjoyed our meals and would definitely return. read more

Delicious homemade Hungarian-inspired menu. Sweet crepes come with choice of peach, apricot, or strawberry filling. Savory crepes come with ham and cheese. We had the peach crepes and they were delicious! Chicken paprikash was on special and it was fall-off-the-bone goodness. So tender and creamy, and made with dumplings. Service was very slow. They weren't slammed but there was only one gal doing most of the work taking orders, running food, cashing people out. One old guy pouring some coffee, but otherwise not helping too much with orders. Very nice folks, but they need some help. At the time we went, they only took venmo or cash, but they are soon replacing venmo option with credit card reader... but charging a fee to use credit card. Try it out! We entered Janes and was told there was table at the back. There was also a both empty so we took it. At that time there was no one waiting for a seat so we took the empty booth. That is when everything went down. We had to wait a very long time for a menu and coffee. A very sweet waitress came and asked if we wanted some coffee and quickly brought our coffee and took our order. Jane had been keeping her eye on us. I could see Jane moving around and checking on people. At the time most booths were filled with only 2 people. The food was good but I will say Jane was not. Went to Jane's diner for breakfast since we are traveling. This is in Medina Ohio. We were there fairly early around 8:30 but we were able to get seated immediately. They were busy but had a few tables for two. Wait staff was excellent. Desiree was our waitress and she was friendly and efficient. I hadn't had crêpes in a long time so I got those today and they were really good. Light and tasty. Eggs over well were well done but not crispy. Don't like crispy lace edges on my eggs! A nice little place--very clean and food was great! I got an egg sandwich special and it was delicious. They make a homemade egg patty with bacon, arugula and digionaise and it was so tasty. Coffee was good too. It's small but still makes great use of its space with several booths and a good number of tables. My bet is the weekend is packed, I went during the week and was able to sit down immediately and got my food quickly. Will definitely be back!! read more

Terrible service. We ordered breakfast. When the meal finally came it was delivered by a different server. The order was missing the fancy pancake. No one ever came back to check on us or to refill coffee. When the bill came and the expensive pancake was on the bill, we asked that it be removed. The owner reprimanded us because we should have asked someone where it was. No one came near our table until we got the bill. Food was just okay breakfast food.
