Sitting in a little restaurant here in Medina Ohio for lunch

Little sandwich shop, gyros burgers..normal tasting not bad but nothing special. Service was excellent. Very cute place

Walked from my office to Jane's Diner for breakfast. It was AMAZING! I got the veggie omelet with the tomato on the side. Wow! The service was as good as the food. Saw a few people I knew while we were there. Such an asset to the community of Medina and right on the Medina Square! Grab some food then walk over to my office and I'll help you with your real estate!

Went to Jane's diner in Media's square today and had a memorable experience. Jane herself greeted and connected with many guests including our group! The plants and artwork make the place feel so fun, and like home! The food was delicious. I look forward to coming back to this independent woman owned restaurant!

Jane's diner is so cute! And the food was delicious with huge portions for a great price. We also grabbed some baklava on the way out and tried the kolaches. Delish!

French toast and classic breakfast

This place was a really cute spot! The menu was very large and impressive for such a little diner! We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and were seated right away. The tables in the middle (where we sat) were kind of in the way, so we felt a little stressed. Someone did end up spilling coffee on my chair :/ My coffee was served in a to go cup bc they didn't have any coffee cups clean. Not a big deal but just kind of a bummer. Coffee was good though. Service was okay. Water cup stayed empty for most of the time though. My French toast was great! But my husbands sausage tasted microwaved and were gross :( I love love loved all the plants and artwork everywhere! That really made the space !

Was walking around Medina square and stumbled across Jane's. My sister and I saw it said breakfast all day and that's a sure fire way to get us to come in. Firstly the decore is so cute. Seating is a little hard if you don't get a booth but that's minor. I got their French toast, wonderful. The staff were super nice and I'd easily go back!

We were there for a late breakfast this morning and the place was packed, we had a little wait but they were moving quickly to make sure we got a seat after a table because open . I had the Italian skillet and it was awesome. Their service is excellent and everyone is so friendly, if you haven't been there before I highly recommend you give them a try because you won't be disappointed.

Sides of toast and bacon

Nice ambience - small diner, prompt availability on tables. Food is good. We had the appfelphanekocen and corned beef hash with sides of bacon and toast. Desiray and her peers kept coffee full. No refills on polish fruit tea but it was light and refreshing

Chicken paprikash

We stopped in after some holiday shopping in the area. Hoping for a nice diner vibe, this place fit the bill. It was very busy around lunchtime but we were seated right away. Unfortunately, we were seated around the same time as a large party and were not warned. Our server was friendly but did seem a little overwhelmed. And, it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food. So, that left us a little on edge. We ordered the chicken paprikash, bagel and fries, and a latke on the side to try it. The latke was not my favorite version of latkes that I have tried- it definitely felt more pancake like than others I have had. My partner enjoyed the paprikash but it also felt a little more bland than others I have tried as well. The bagel was good with really yummy lox and I liked the home fries. We did speak to the owner about our service and she was very courteous and did everything she could to make it up to us. So, I appreciate that she took our criticism so kindly. It really would have just helped to be warned that we might be waiting some extra time for our food or reassured sometime before our food finally came out. I'm sure they're working hard to improve. It's a cute diner with some solid choices on the menu.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, which made for a great start to the evening. One thing I really loved was the storefront area when you walk in where you can shop for local foods and craft beers. Such a unique touch that really adds to the farm-to-table experience. We also loved that Medina Brewing Co. is downstairs, so after dinner we headed down for live music and drinks, which made the night even more fun. I ordered the Pear Bleu Cheese Salad with fresh pears, bleu cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and blackberry balsamic dressing. It was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband ordered the Southtown Burger with fries featuring a chuck, short rib, and sirloin blend topped with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, local lettuce, and dill pickles. He said it was juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. Overall, such a great spot for a relaxed dinner, date night, or evening out with friends. We'll definitely be back!

A manager was in and out of the room each time we were hoping he would say something. unfortunately he did not. it really put a damper on our visit and it was difficult to have a conversation. The only barrier from a five star review came in the form of one waiter with a receding hairline and starter studs, who asked for certain IDs when our table was ordering drinks based on subjectivity and looks. An insensitive comment was made to myself and my friend; he said "She doesn't look young, but SHE does" A bit after me not being able to provide ID because I did not have my wallet, he proceeded to accuse me of sipping someone else's drink and threatened to take it away. Upon backlash from our table, he remarked that someone had been watching me to make sure I hadn't sipped any drinks. This made me extremely uncomfortable, like I was being watched. I don't believe any of this waiter's behavior is a good standard of conduct as far as professionalism. I have never had a problem with trying others' drinks at restaurants. Regardless, I Am 21, so there was not a real issue in the first place. Once management got involved, the situation was diffused immediately and we received abundant compensation for the bother, like free drinks and an extra entree to take home! Everyone (except hairline) was super sweet and accommodating. So, in conclusion, this place is awesome as long as you have your ID (or you look "old enough"!)

I had no plans to go out today in this sweltering Wednesday 95° Ohio day but then into my mind came…read moredining at yours truly and I said OK let's do it. I got in my car and drove 20 miles to get to YT in Medina. This is the only west side one anywhere. I arrived 1217 - seated immediately, no lines - server instantly at the table and my diet Dr Pepper no ice was immediately delivered as well as a few seconds later my side bowl of chili. I opted to not order my usual and selected the cod entrée which is broiled and very diabetic healthy and the chili was one of my sides. I asked the server if the chili was hot she said no ---lived up to her answer and my expectations. It was not hot, hardly at all, and it was extremely meaty. I expected lots of beans, but the ratio was a lot of meat to a medium beans and it was very well presented in a bowl over a saucer with packets of crackers. I ordered the cod dinner which came with two sides one choice was the chili The other one is fresh fruit. I'm waiting for it to arrive. 12:41 my platter of cod over onions and spinach with fresh fruit just arrived. First thing I noticed was a fishy odor so I'm not excited about that but we shall see. their fresh fruit bowl had 8 different fruits --all fresh that's why I eat here. So I'm diving into very hot onions and spinach very tasty and the right temperature --tartar sauce accompanies this dish and has to be homemade as it has lots of chunks of pickles in it and it's rather tasty as well. Server JENN was very attentive and very pleasant throughout my visit offered me a diet Dr Pepper to go, presented my bill, didn't rush me and wished me a happy Fourth of July. There's not much more you can ask of a restaurant during lunch. I got it all. Everyone that I passed as I walked through the restaurant entering and exiting, spoke to me smiled at me and wished me a day of some sort you can't buy this kind of service. I haven't been to Medina except one other time this year so I'm gonna have to make some plans to return and so should you. Still a dynamite place to drive to, a nice drive if you're coming down from Cleveland or up from Akron and anything I've ever ordered at all the other YTs I visited over 20 years is always to die for and they make everything right, so you have a pleasant visit every single time. They know how to do it and their business plan is exceptional since they've been doing it so splendid for well over 40 years.

I believe you always have to see for yourself so I said sure let's do it. We had fun walking in looking around and checking out the old bank vault. When we first arrived there were people seated at the table in there but they left right after we were seated so we went in to get a closer look and take a couple pics. Our waitress came over right away and was friendly. She had just started working there a few weeks ago so she was honest when I asked her what her favorite menu item was. She pointed out a couple of sandwiches on their fall seasonal menu. I actually was considering a burger that was close to the Monster Mash burger that was on the seasonal menu so I went with it. I also substituted my fries for the fried pickle chips. (Great choice) It seemed to take a bit for the food to come out after we ordered but that gave us plenty of time to catch up. Our server kept our water glasses full and checked back in with us more than once. The food was hot. The burger was cooked as I had requested. It was a fun twist for the season. I liked that the black pepper aioli wasn't overpowering. The pepper jack cheese was a good choice with the grilled banana peppers. The pastrami with the burger was a good balance. The pickle chips were good. I like that they had a dill dip served with them instead of the ranch you typically get. It was a nice flavor compliment. My friend enjoyed her "it's gonna be good" burger. She said it was very cheesy which I was glad to hear since it's basically a grilled cheese sandwich with a burger added to it. Nothing worse than getting a non cheesy grilled cheese. All in all we enjoyed our lunch and I wouldn't see any reason not to return.
