Hubby, myself, my sister and brother in law needed lunch desperately after a full day of antiquing. Outside, they were smoking BBQ. The inside is golf themed and a little outdated. A little dirty in between the tables and floor. We ordered onion rings to start, burger, Rueben, chicken cutlet, and the fish platter. Everything was really tasty and fresh. The fries are fresh cut and I urge you to dip them in brown gravy! The place isn't huge but probably just enough for the small town. read more

Was passing through the area looking for a good place to eat and saw IT'S. So glad we stopped! Very friendly staff and the food was delicious! My son and I both got the hazard burger - cooked medium rare - perfection! My son had the coleslaw with his and said it was great. I had the homemade chips and they were delightful. This place is hit or miss. This time was a miss went in for a Sunday morning breakfast and couldn't even finish it. The menu stated The Eagle omelette comes with 3 eggs roasted turkey, spinach, and choice of cheese. I got a 2 egg omelette (not even enough to wrap around the toppings) , a pound of slimy FROZEN spinach, pan fried deli lunchmeat turkey, and 1 slice of Swiss. Service was good until the waitress argued with us that that's how that omelette comes with frozen spinach. It ruined my food, for these prices you could throw in a few leaves of fresh spinach, and you definitely don't argue with the customer that the food wasn't gross when their opinion is what matters read more

Those were the only things that were gluten free and vegan on the breakfast menu. How hard would it be to offer gluten free bread? The waitresses seemed very friendly though. So glad my wife and I stopped to eat here. I had the 1/2 bbq chicken (3 sides) and she had the pulled pork sandwich. We sat outside, with our pooch Phoebe. Service was outstanding with 3 different girls checking to see if we were doing ok. One brought our dog a bowl of water. If you live in Geauga County, JC's is the place to go for breakfast. The food is always very good, service is crisp and the physical space always seems clean and well taken care off. When switching over from breakfast to lunch, do not make French fries until the oil is the right temperature. My wife ordered grilled cheese with bacon and French fries. The fries came soaked in grease. She slid them onto napkins and lifted the sandwich which also had fryer grease all over the bread. The cheese was a slice of cheese, not melted and cold bacon pieces. She gave it back to the waitress. Waitress asked if she wanted something else. She declined because that would have been another 25 minutes wait. My wife asked the manager if she looked at what she refused and she said yes and I took it off the bill and offered you something else. What else do you want me to do. My wife said talk to the cook. The manager said we were changing over from breakfast and the deep fryer was not quite heated up yet. My wife said that's no excuse. The manager didn't want to hear that her cook screwed up and said get out. We won't be back for sure. Burton residents deserve better than this place. read more

This is the 2nd time I have eaten here. Both times have been good. First time I got a burger and 2nd time I got chicken fingers basket. Again both good. The fries in particular are really good! Went for a late lunch and they were setting up a BBQ grill. But we were too early to participate in it. It smelled amazing. But it started at 2p and we were too early. Maybe next time. This is a nice family place. Lots of menu items and specials. Prices are good and the service was ok. The 2nd time we got a teenager who seemed less than thrilled at being there. Great find. I was in Hiram and looking for lunch and JC's was recommended. We had a small group of 5. Immediately upon pulling in the parking lot, I could tell we picked a winner. Barely an open spot to park. We were seated quickly and was here around 12:45 so lunch was getting over. Good menu selections is salads, soup, sandwiches etc. fresh cut fries were awesome. Was headed to another restaurant in the circle but opted for this place instead. Immediately seated near the bar and soon afterwards, saw a table of 15 enter. Boy, was that great timing! The enticing smell of beef cooking overwhelmed me so without hesitation, today would be a burger day! A Cindy with American cheese and onion rings for me and a Caddie for my husband with fries. I can honestly say that for ME, this was one of THE Best burgers I have had in probably 2 years in a restaurant!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! My mother-in-law got a chicken salad it was enough for 2-3 people and she ended up taking most of it with her to go! The kid's portions were great as well. Our son devoured his chicken fingers and my daughter's mac&cheese was extremely cheesy, she was dipping the fries in it. I had their Parmesan Chicken and light pasta in olive oil and cheese bread. We decided to stop at this place after being out in the area and I sure am glad we did. I got the Tuna Melt with sweet potato fries and it was outstanding. Everyone at our table loved their food and had no complaints. It was affordable and very tasty. Okay, not to be mean, but this place reminds me of something you would see on restaurant impossible that needs help. We stayed at the Red Maple Inn and they highly recommend this place. They raved about the food. I like to eat healthy and noticed the flounder looks good . It's the only thing decent/healthy on the menu. I get that and when I got it, it had no taste, the veggies taste like from a can and the bake potato was microwaved. I'm not a nit picky person, but the way I describe it is true. The staff was so kind and helpful. The restaurant was decent. It could use better decor and update. If you are looking for classic breakfast & brunch that is greasy, homemade, and delicious, this place is for you! My husband and I have heard so many great things about this place from friends and family in the area but we haven't been able to give it a try until recently and we are obsessed. You just truly feel like family when you walk through this door. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and loved him. His only wish was that the gravy had some more depth of flavor in it. It was pretty straight forward and you can slightly taste the flour in the gravy as well. I had the eggs Benedict with hash browns and oh wow was it delicious. My only critique is the eggs were a little over cooked for me but everyone likes their eggs differently so that isn't a make it or break-it for me. Ordered take out during COVID. They were a well oiled machine with sanitizing and keeping their distance. The interior was goof themed which was cute. The staff were very friendly and conversational. We ordered the Krisco salad which was huge for the price and generous toppings!! Only downfall is it was all iceberg lettuce and would have been nice to have some mixed greens. The quesadilla was fresh, hot, and crispy! Flavorful and melty. Definitely fried and bad for you but worth the cheat meal!! I can't wait to come back and try something else! read more

Upon entering I was greeted and seated immediately. The waitress took my order within 2 minutes. Super friendly staff! It was very chilly inside even with my coat on. My breakfast arrived in the blink of an eye and was piping hot! It was delicious, especially the redskin home fries! Large portions. It's downhill from here! Carpeting was old and FILTHTY!!! It was supposed to be green but in high traffic areas it was black as coal! Tables and chairs have seen better days, lots of wear and tear. This place needs an upgrade! The salt and pepper shakers were sticky with food particles stuck to them!! Disgusting! The lack of cleanliness is a deal breaker!
