Walleye sandwich and sweet potato tots
Steven B.

A beautiful summer day means it is a great day to get on the motorcycle and ride, so when I needed to grab some lunch I stopped at Cinda's Restaurant in Middlefield. Located on the corner of a small strip of shops in the middle of town, Cinda's was open for takeout and for dine-in eating; they have closed the counter and half of the tables are marked out, plus the servers are all wearing protective masks. Cinda's is nothing fancy, just a straight forward diner style menu, sandwiches, breakfast all day and some entrees plus a nice display case of desserts and ice cream. I ordered the Walleye sandwich and the sweet potato tots; nothing fancy here just some well prepared food. The Walleye was a large fillet that overflowed the bun, perfectly fried and tasty. The tots were crisp outside and slightly sweet inside, although the portion was smaller then I expected. For dessert I had some of the Perry Ice Cream, which is made in Buffalo, nice creamy base with interesting flavors that are deep and rich; I always enjoy the Perry ice cream when I can find it. I will definitely be back to Cinda's, good affordable straightforward American staples, nothing fancy but not trying to be. If you are out Middlefield way and hungry give them a try or just pick up some ice cream.

Frost Bar - Grilled Hamburger and fries with fresh lettuce tomato (and onions if you like) Sunday special $7.00!

(It's literally on their shirts) We parked our bikes close by and headed in. **We noticed they have bike parking right outside the front door and the back patio as well. Upon walking in you face lots of seating in front of a very well stocked bar, turn right and you'll see bathroom to you left and a pool table to the right and straight out the back to the patio. It was a gorgeous day! I lived in Middlefield in the 90's and was quickly reminded of the flies. Although it's unavoidable, maybe some fly catcher devices would help a bit because they were inside and out. Our waitress was so nice and prompt, with drink orders and menus. Being that I wasn't very hungry I ordered tiny tacos-an appetizer that hit the spot. It came with sour cream and salsa-yummy! They tasted better than they looked! My sister got the fried mushrooms and they were really good! Both hubbies got the $7.00 grilled burger and fries special, both said it was so good! It looked good. We were very impressed with the food and prices. I wished I hadn't already had a big breakfast because their prime rib sounded amazing. We also noticed a good breakfast menu! Let's not forget the drink menu-I took pics of menu and the shots they serve sound ridiculously good. We will be back for sure 100%! Draft beers and bottles as well, wings, too. Everything you need for the upcoming football season you get the idea

Cool joint and really good food and service! We will put this place in my rotation for sure.read more

Spoke to a few of the Amish Girls working the front. They seemed pleasant, and the service was quick. They were out of one or two things, but once I got the system down on what was available quick, that was no big deal. I'm not a fan of canned or overly processed cheese. I would love it if they did a steak and swiss pretzel, but the yellow cheese made it take a tad off to me. I have tried a few of the breakfast versions and I do enjoy those a lot. For some good cheap eats this is a good place. I would return.

Literally a cheese stick that wasn't melted & "steak" that tasted like how dog food smells in a sweet ketchupy/bbq type sauce. Dough was still raw inside. I am not picky at all and this was so nasty. I'm sure a plain pretzel cooked all the way through would be good. But this I expected just steak and cheese and if anything some peppers and onions. Not whatever that was, it was so bad. I should have left as soon as I walked up to counter and girl serving the food was eating over counter, one foot away from customers food under heat lamp, with food falling out of her mouth and it falling on counter. But I didn't leave cause it didn't get on anyone's food & I heard this place was good and wanted to give it a try. It was $5.99 and way too small for the price, even if it was good. After getting the wrap I walked to the other side where bakery was. I asked for one blueberry fritter. Girl slammed it on the counter and asked it that was all. I said yes, just a bag please. I was confused why it wasn't placed in one already but she said they didn't have any bags. I said ok, do you have anything at all to put it in? She rolled her eyes and put it in a small box. Not sure why that was an issue, I've never ordered food and wasn't given something to carry the food in. And usually get a paper sleeve or a box when getting any pastry. Was I expected to hold it in my mouth while I got my wallet out to pay? What if it wasn't for me, why no packaging offered? The Fritter was good but I wouldn't go back or reccomend.
