My hubby and I were out running amuck early on a Saturday and needed to find a local diner. We love local Ma & Pa American diners! This one was packed with nostalgia and a warm and welcoming vibe. The servers were bubbly and on point with the coffee refills. I ordered the Rat Pack omelet. It was nice and fluffy, with melty American cheese, sautéed veggies, and crispy homefries. My hubby enjoyed the Cadillac breakfast, and the steak was cooked perfectly medium. The diner was very clean, with sparkling checkered floors. We attended a memorial service at All Souls Cemetary (about a 10 minute drive away). We came here after for brunch. (Thank you Yelpers for the reviews that led us here). There were six of us and we were seated quickly. As you walk in, you can hear the sounds of great tunes on the juke box and are immediately immersed into a classic diner's vibe. The wall decor visually appealing with many small records mounted very appropriately for the "Spinner's" theme. I had a malt shake and onion rings. (OK, not the healthiest option; but some days it's all you feel like) . They had a special 'Beef on Weck'. My husband had it and let me try it. Wow. The beef was melt in your mouth tender on this amazing Kümmelweck Roll from Bread Head Bread Company in Conneaut. Cute place, oldies decor but no oldies music playing. Ordered a cheese and sausage omelette a bit overdone. The omelette was underdone. Told the server. Rather than make a new one they just put one side on the griddle and brought it back out. Inside and other side were still undone. I took a bite and realized there were also mushrooms in it for some reason. Couldn't eat it. Server just brought the check out. $16 for toast and some potatoes. My friends & I (all retired teachers) bike just about every Thursday. This morning (10/05/23) we rode the Maple Highlands Trail, and then stopped at Spinner's to eat (late breakfast, early lunch). FOOD - I had "The Fabian" burger (w/fries), which in my opinion had one of the best flavors of any burger I've had in recent memory. The fries (hard to mess up fries; although I've eaten places that try EXTREMELY HARD to do so) were adequate (good, but not the selling point of this restaurant). [BTW - my one friend ordered the "Poodle Skirt" burger. As a fan of fried cheese, I need to go back just for that - it looked AMAZING!] DECOR - For any "baby boomer" this place will invoke a wave of nostalgic memories. For those of you born after 1969 (especially if you are interested in Americana), go there with a "boomer" and ask them questions; you will learn a lot! SERVICE* - Our waitress (Diane, if I remember correctly - a BIG IF) was GREAT. Order taken & food prepared relatively quickly (I was quite hungry after having no breakfast & just completing a 20mi ride), so I was happy not to wait long. (Full disclosure - the place was not crowded when we walked in). PRICE - Inflation has caused prices everywhere to go crazy. However, many places charge A LOT more for the same type of meal. I am totally satisfied with what I paid for the value of the meal I received. *Note - Everywhere businesses are asking much more out of the few employees they can get to work for them. This is especially true in the restaurant business. I've been here multiple times and I can say their service has gone downhill significantly over the past several months. Their staff are indifferent you're there. Sometimes act as though you're an inconvenience. The girls act as though they're being held hostage and forced to work there. Yes, they are busy, but we have been patient. There have been times we stood in the doorway without acknowledgement for over 5 minutes. There have been times (frequently) when others are seated after us but their orders are taken first. They are somehow always busy so I'm sure they won't miss my business. Breakfast is good but nothing I couldn't just cook at home. Take a drive to Chesterfield and go to one of their diners. So this little place is absolutely adorable!! This is a 50's themed diner with made-from-scratch cookin! JJ had the corned beef--this was phenomenal, probably the best we have out, only downfall was the serving size was a little small for the price. We would get it again tho Dad & I each had a BLT which was really good (lots of bacon)! I really wanted to try their chicken salad but they were out--soooo we'll have to come back! Ordered plain hamburger. .made very clear that I cannot eat cheese. It was takeout so did not know that it had cheese until my sister dropped it off. I cannot drive due to an injury so there was no way to go back. called restaurant and were basically told "too bad" if you can't come back. I visited Spinners for the first time on Sat., 11.16.19 @ 11:00 a.m. The restaurant is located in a strip plaza so may be difficult for some to spot. On the small side, the decor reflects a 1950s diner as does the menu. The dining room was nearly at capacity but, being a party of one, I was quickly seated. About a third of the seating are booths for parties of 4 with the remainder being tables. Tables could be arranged for large parties provided it is not busy. I ordered one of the breakfast specials, the James Dean omelette, for 6.99 which included two hashbrowns (like McD's) & toast. My meal was served within about 7 minutes at a good temperature & tasted good. The service was good but it was obvious the servers were hustling to take care of things. A 'help wanted' sign for servers was posted outside so it is quite possible management recognizes more staff may be needed. I can also appreciate that dependable people who want to work can be difficult to find. I could easily see Spinners being a favorite for those who are regulars or may visit during less hectic periods. Great little diner. Very cute inside with 50's themed decor. The service was as expected, quick and friendly without any frills, but you could see that they knew their regulars. The tables and menus were clean without any stickiness when we were there. The prices were spot on for this type of place and the breakfast menu had many fill you up kind of combinations. You won't really find any healthy options here from what I saw. I had the potato pancakes stuffed with bacon and cheese with eggs. It was more than I could finish and I left stuffed! The potato pancakes were as large as the plate. It was hearty. I cannot eat like that often, that's for sure! My husband had a traditional breakfast with pancakes, sausage bacon eggs and potatoes. The potatoes were redskins and tasted fresh and nicely seasoned. The pancakes had good flavor. The sausage also was good. Largest menu ever, with quirky names for their dishes. Something for everyone. I really think they have the best cup of coffee in the area. The decor is pretty cool too. My wife and I have had decent food in the past, but not today. We went for breakfast this morning. She ordered a breakfast sandwich and i ordered two eggs, two meats, potatoes and toast, with a side of one French toast slice and cinnamon butter. My main entree was good, but the French toast came out very cold, almost as if it had just been taken out of the refrigerator and set aside thawing on the counter. Had to ask for cinnamon butter a second time after the food was already on the table, because our waitress forgot even though i asked when she took our order. Her excuse was that it was out of habit to just give patrons regular butter. I can understand that, but I was super excited for the French toast and after my first bite i became super disappointed at how cold it was. Wife's breakfast sandwich had a fried egg instead of scrambled, and she asked for scrambled. Homefries were bland and cold. Very little jelly on the table for toast. Waitress never came back to ask how we were doing. Just to give us food originally and a check, which i had to ask. Waitress also wasn't very cheerful. Will not be returning. First strike against them happened months ago, not worth going into, but for future readers make sure you check your food for toothpicks. Second strike, shame on me for thinking improvement but hopeless beliefs. read more

Really top notch diner food! The outside is completely nondescript. I would have never thought to stop if it hadn't come up as a breakfast option in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see it's a super cute throw back 50's diner. The decor is fun and the staff is always friendly and on top of it even when they're busy. The food comes out fresh and fast and the over medium eggs are perfect. My husband has been a huge Yours Truly breakfast fan for years and he even said this breakfast is better. Wife & I sent the kids to a sleepover so we could try a new breakfast place with some peace & quiet . It was between The Kitchen & Spinners and we chose Spinners figuring that being by shopping centers around 306 & Mentor would make The Kitchen busier. We made the right choice. We were sat immediately after walking in, our server was very friendly and the food was delicious. I came in on a day that they had corn beef hash on special. I've had corn beef hash at many restaurants and often it is pretty bland and I end up adding ketchup to it. The hash at Spinners was easily the most flavorful I've ever had (almost good as the corn beef roasts my wife makes on St. Patrick's Day). Our server was very excited to get my opinion of the hash, and the chef (who it turns out is our server's mom) came out to tell me how happy she was that I liked it. She was very friendly and took great pride in her food. Overall it was a great experience. Based on other reviews, I'd say they seem to consistently provide great service & delicious food. You know how when Yelp asks you about a place and it asks "Good for Groups?" This one truly is. I came in with a group of 9 and we were accommodated very easily. There were other large groups in there and it was very friendly with a small town feel. The service was good. They were patient with us. As for the food, all I can say is that it is pretty traditional diner fair. The establishment itself is diner style. Great breakfast joint...Fast service, servers were very pleasant. I had eggs over easy (cooked perfect, and I'm really particular about my eggs), hash browns (perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside), bacon (could have been cooked a bit longer, but I like mine super crunchy). My bf had the country fried steak (little too much breading for our liking), with bisquits, and sausage (he said the casing was so chewy, he had to pull it off), but the sausage gravy was spot on, sooo good.
