    Chicken fried steak

What a great place to eat! Wonderful 50's atmosphere, friendly service, great food, immaculately clean and affordably priced! The chicken fried steak is the best you'll ever eat and the signature pork schnitzel is a must try if you've never had it before - delicious! Can't say enough positive about Mary's Diner

Absolutely stunning decors to start with. Got seated right away at almost 5pm during the weekend. Our waitress took our order immediately, we got a salad , patty duke melt, and pot roast diner. The salad was pretty underwhelming and the ranch was unfortunately just in a packet. The pot roast dinner was a smaller size portion but the flavor and cook was fantastic. The patty duke melt was mediocre and the fries weren't that great. The atmosphere is pretty great though. Overall not a place I would go to a lot but good for a neat time out.

I went to a late lunch with my coworker at 3:45 pm. There was only one other table taken. We were seated right away and given menus. Our server came right over and took our drink order. When she arrived with our drinks, she took our order. After a short wait, we were served our meals. I ordered a cup of the cream of potato soup with the open-faced turkey sandwich. My coworker went with a cup of chili and Mary's big egg bowl. My soup was good, it was flavorful, and didn't need any extra salt or pepper. I was told the Chili was good as well. The open-faced turkey sandwich was good, the turkey was tender and juicy. There was only one slice of white bread underneath and that was fine, my only issue was there wasn't enough meat. The turkey was the star of the show, there just wasn't enough meat for what was charged. The mashed potatoes were creamy and cooked well. The gravy was tasty as well. Overall this is a good dish, if it had more meat, it would have been great. My co-workers egg bowl was very filling, it had everything in it. The flavor was spot on, and she was happy she ordered this. I have been to Mary's in the past and will return in the future, it is comfort food in a nice environment. The inside of the restaurant is very cute, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We sat right under this delightful mural of Frank Sinatra.

Mary's Diner is always exceptional in both food and service! I'm a Jersey girl, so I can be picky about my diners, but Mary's always knocks it out of the park. My partner and I came in for brunch and were taken care of by Susan. She was always attentive and cheerful, and made good conversation while we ordered and waited for our food. She even gave us to-go cups for our coffee as we were preparing to leave! As for the food, you can't go wrong with classic diner food, and Mary's has found that sweet spot at a great price point. The restaurant itself is also delightfully charming, and its retro theming and decor are matched perfectly by the music playing throughout. If you're looking for a great place to eat with good service that won't break the bank, this is the spot for you!

Country fried steak and eggs with a side of hash browns

Back in Concord on a Sunday for work. Got in early so I stopped for breakfast. Unlike lunch it was slow but also was early. The wait staff was pleasant and greeted me when entering. My waitress seats me with and menu and off to get my coffee. I scan the menu and see one of my all time favorites, country fried steak. I ordered that with eggs scrambled dry and added hash browns. I swear this place is going to make me gain all the weight I lost. As usual the food was awesome. The steak was cooked nice and crispy but not dry. The gravy was a real gravy not a lump of grease. The eggs and hash browns were a great compliment to the meal. The food is always awesome. But the service and atmosphere is phenomenal. Imagine going to a restaurant and every time being treated like the number one customer. That has always been the feel every time I have eaten there. Not sure if Ron is the owner or chef but he out there to make sure your meal is great. Stop in and enjoy. From breakfast to desert you will not be disappointed. Yes I like ketchup.

Service was very good; too bad the food isn't. Meatloaf looked like 2 hamburger patties with no gravy what so ever.

Be nice to your waitstaff and tip generously! Eating brunch here on Sunday before going apple…read morepicking reminded me of just how hard they work and how terrible so many people treat these lovely folk. That's my PSA for today. As for everything else, this little diner is definitely locally owned and locally loved. It was only a few minutes from the farm I took my bf to go apple picking on the far east side of Cleveland. FYI!!! - The menu online is incredibly outdated!! Each thing is about 50% more expensive. Use the attached menu pictures to get an accurate idea of prices in late 2025. This is no longer a cheap place to eat. :( After about 15 minutes of waiting, we were sat at the counter right next to the cash register and could hear everything the staff said. I was enlightened as to how terrible they are treated by stingy, entitled customers. I felt terrible about my impatience at getting seated and getting our food but it seems like all the staff and cooks were just burnt out today. They still did a pretty good job at making yummy food though! My bf got a skillet with home fries and wheat toast. This was a lot of food and the toast was very thicccc and very heavily buttered. I ordered a gyro salad with tzaziki sauce and it came with buttered triangles of pita bread. Since we weren't prepared for the price changes, we just got water to drink. We both were shocked at how LARGE the portions were! The gyro meat was so good and the pita bread was nice and lightly buttered. My bf was a huge fan of the sausage in his skillet. Because we didn't want to leave the food in the car for a few hours, we ate everything and did not have leftovers although we could have! Not sure how well my gyro salad would taste as leftovers though so it was probably best I ate everything. Lastly, I made sure to thank them and tip generously. I hope everyone else there did the same. I ended up paying about $42.

Nice diner in Chesterland. Came for breakfast they also serve lunch. They are open until 2 pm…read more They were very busy when we got there at 9:15 am. The main dining area was full the side area was getting full. Our server was very friendly. Hometown vibes. The portions were large. We ended up taking some home. O tried my husband's sausage and biscuits. The biscuits were delicious ! Fluffy and perfect. The gravy was good. It needed a bit more flavor via spices like salt and pepper. Easy to add, but better cooked in. I had the Hercules gyro with eggs and wheat toast. Loved the seeded wheat thick toast. The tzatziki sauce was very nice. Gyro meet was tasty. The shredded hash towns were perfectly cooked. My mother in law got the godfather. The guido Italian sausage looked good and she said it was great. Would definitely come back!
