Been here a long time ago. Decided to grab a quick sandwich and try this place again. Good experience years ago as I recall. Really a take out place. They do have a few tables but probably most of their business is take out. Got 2 turkey subs. Shredded cheddar or Swiss was our choice. We were told their cheese delivery had not come in. So that's our choice. Had some banana peppers on it too. And way too much Italian dressing. It soaked thru the bread and dripped everywhere. All you tasted was dressing and cheese that also dripped everywhere. No turkey taste at all. Honestly it was very disappointing. Be a long time before I try again. I'll go across the street to Jersey Mike's. read more

Dave's Cosmic Subs - Turkey sub with shredded cheddar banana peppers and too much dressing. Chips are mine from home. - Sandwiches Near Me - Macedonia, Ohio

Love Dave's cosmic. The cosmic sauce is to die for and the Cajun fries always hit the spot. The staff at this location are always friendly. read more

Dave's Cosmic Subs - #8 Crazy Dave - Sandwiches Near Me - Macedonia, Ohio

5/5 no notes. Just kidding. This is an amazing regional sub shop. The vibes are immaculate. Lots of classic rock memorabilia on the walls. The sub I got was so good. I got the large, but honestly I think regular would be good enough. Large was HUGE. The sub was delicious. Loaded with meat, cheese, veggies, seasoning, and sauce. The employees were so friendly and got my order quick. They even have their own craft soda. You want to try this place if you ever come across it. read more

I used to love this place, but something has changed in the last year or so and the subs taste different. The flavors are not nearly as good as they used to be. Unripe avocados, hard bread, large clumps of really cold cheese, some kind of sweet peppers that clash with the Dave's cosmic sauce, and tiny bags of chips. I think I'm done with this place after my last three visits. Not the same as it was years ago. Staff is friendly but food isn't worth the increased price. read more

This was our first time ordering from here. We got the meatball sub, ordered it hot. This sub came to us not hot at all and the bread was hard and tough. The meatballs weren't even warm. They put "psychedelic" sauce with the marinara, which to it, made the sub inedible. We threw it out after 3 bites. This was the most disgusting sub we've ever had. We won't be back. read more

It's not an Ohio visit without at least one visit to Dave's. If you are used to big chain subs, buckle your seatbelt, these will blow your doors off. The Macedonia location sports all the funky, cosmic decor of its counterpart's but the staff here is particularly impressive. We ordered 3 subs, Dad and I opting for the Super Dave with pastrami and corned beef, Mom ordered the Grateful Dave opting out on the hot pepper juice. Now my parents live nearby in an assisted living, dad squarely in his mid 90s and Mom will be 90 later this year. Mom still found her sandwich too spicy despite the removal of the hot peppers. The staff were phenomenal, crafting her a new sandwich full of turkey and veggies with a dab of mayo at no extra charge even though the fault was not theirs. Put a smile on her face. The regular sandwiches here are enough for two with crusty bread and premium meats. Not to be missed. read more

Friendly staff, very clean store, and they even made a sub for me that used to be on the old menu but is no longer on the current one.

I love this Dave's location. They always make our food right and have it out fresh. The Dave's sauce on the club is so good. They're usually a little understaffed unfortunately, so it takes longer for them to get the food ready. Inside they have pictures of rockstars and album covers on a blue wall, definitely matches the vibe of the original Dave's in Chagrin Falls. read more

This place doesn't compare to any of the other sub place. All bread no meat, we really wanted to like this place. We were so disappointed I didn't finish my Italian sub and my wife didn't care for her chicken bacon ranch, she didn't even get or taste the bacon. Never again for 32$ read more

Who uses 3 shredded cheese on sandwiches but it looked so cool of American British themed restaurant

Apparently under new management. Frequent here often this will be last time. Ordered cornbeef nothing but fat and chewy for the price. Not like it was before new management took over. Goodbye daves cosmic sub was good while it lasted read more

I prefer Italian subs when presented with lunch meat/sub options and this place has nailed it as far as I'm concerned. Cant go wrong with the sloppy dave or the crazy dave. The portion of their subs is nice and plenty of meat to back it up not just bread. Good place for a quick filling bite to eat. Can add and subtract items from sandwiches which is also nice. Yummm read more

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this sub spot!! As corny as it sounds I get why it's called "cosmic" subs because that special dressing they have is out of this world!!! I honestly can't put my finger on exactly what it taste like, but just know it's delicious . The toppings are fresh the, roll is nicely toasted and the side a Cajun fries were the perfect top off combination to an already great sub sandwich. I'm not typically a sub guy but if you want something that's quick and delicious, than this is the spot for you! read more

The subs were fresh and the meat looked freshly sliced. Must try ! we had daves original and turkey as per the manager's recommendation and they both were tasty. read more

Enjoyed a Hey Dave today. It has been a while since going to DCS. First time going to this location. Great Wall art and music as usual. My wife had a pizza sub. That looked really good and she enjoyed it. I'll get that next time. Service was friendly and relatively quick. I expect to start going more often to DCS. read more

Best subs, hands down. Roast beef is superb. Love this place!! You won't be disappointed

the gourmet subs are best. I tried daves original and it seemed to be the best italian sub i've ever had.

There has never been a time when Dave's Cosmic Subs didn't absolutely thrill me! Their subs are the best I've EVER had and it's not even close. The Crazy Dave is my favorite, but all of their choices are fantastic. The Dave's sauce is heavenly and those tiny hot peppers give any sandwich the right kick. Anyone who doesn't give Dave's a 5 Star review is delusional or was having the worst day of their life. Dave's Cosmic Subs NEVER disappoints!!! read more

Found this place while visiting family in the area. Back in Texas now, but would love another sub. Next time we are in Ohio! I had the Grateful Dave's and my daughter had the best meatball ever. Excellent sandwiches! Another reason Cleveland Rocks! read more

So excited to have a Dave's near me. Dave's is a chain of sub resaurants that prouces samiches better than subway. I recommend on your first trip have The Original Dave's Cosmic Sub. Then grow from there. read more

Dave's is better than jimmy johns but I feel Grum's sub shoppe is better than Dave's. Grum's you get more for your buck and if you have not tried their subs you must. They are located at 1776 Coventry Rd Cleveland Heights, OH 44118 read more

Everything tastes fine but is there any sub that the bread doesn't fall completely apart. It is ridiculous and every sub ends up being an open faced sandwich. Fix the bread and get five stars. read more

We got The Original Dave's Cosmic Sub and The Turkey Dave -- both were great! Really liked Dave's special sauce, was a nice change from a turkey sandwich with just mayo. Cool place with great vibes and friendly staff. read more

1.5 Stars. Sandwiches are my favorite food. I really wanted this place to be good and I gave it a couple tries. Unfortunately, it is just extremely OVERRATED. Why? Terrible bread. Gross sauce and too much of it. The effort to be an earthy 60's psychedelic music-themed joint appears to me to be a weak and transparent front, and is poorly executed at this location. This place wouldn't last a month in Portland, OR. Just sayin. read more

Sent the boyfriend to get a #8 crazy Dave's. It was an amazing sandwich! Nice amount of heat. I can see why it is the best sandwich in cleveland!I'm taking off 1 star though because the girl at the register didnt ask which size sandwich he wanted. We had to split the small which sucked. He also ordered it toasted, but it initially didn't come out that way. No big deal on either issue because the sandwich was great! read more

Overall: 4 stars. It's a local sub chain, which I like to support. Food is good but prices are a bit on the high side. Prices: 3 stars. They are a bit on the high side for a sub chain. Food: 4 stars. They have quality ingredients and meats. As others have mentioned, the break is more hard than most sub places, but that's how Dave's designed it. It takes a bit getting used to, but I don't mind. I think they need to reduce the size of their menu; there are probably 30-40 choices and it's a bit overwhelming to read through all of it. Store Appearance: 4 stars. It has a fun, rock-and-roll decor. There are 8-10 tables. read more

DELICIOUS! New management and staff are friendly and accommodating. I love the new look in there. Super clean and inviting. Best subs ever! read more

I've always seen this place around Cleveland and put off trying it. I don't really know why. The menu has a lot of options, so you'll probably find something to your liking. I had the meatball sub. Which included some really great tasting meatballs along with a good sauce and good amount of cheese. The bread is delicious. I saw some people on here complain that it's hard and/or stale. It is a crispy bread. But it's certainly not stale. I think it's a great touch to sandwiches with already good ingredients. I'd definitely go again and would recommend. read more

Dave's rocks. If you are looking for a cheap sub, with bottom-dollar meats and poofy bread, stay at Subway. Dave's uses a crispy-crust loaf, similar to traditional New Orleans Po-boy bread. You won't cut your gums on the crust (like you might on the best Italian bread), but it's crisp. The meats, cheeses, etc. are all quality stuff. Good dressings. If they would just make a banh mi, I'd never go anywhere else for a sammich. You will spend a couple of bucks more here than you would at Subway. It's worth it. read more

Don't listen to anyone that complains. This place is unbelievable. Any time I have friends come in from out of town, this is where we go. They then proceed to buy multiple bottle of the famous Dave's sauce. Always a winner here read more

I found me a new love at Dave's Cosmic Subs. Yes I did its The Super Dave. Check this out. Pastrami, Corned Beef, Mayo, Lettuce, Mustard, Tomatoes, and its topped with Dave's Homemade Cole Slaw with Dave's Cosmic Sauce. Yes WINNER WINNER.... I do think you should give it a try. Cole Slaw on a sandwich is the way to ROLL. This Yelper is one happy camper. read more

I've been coming to this place ever since I was a little kid, at the Hudson location. I was thrilled one moved in closer, I love this place. The aesthetic is amazing if you love classic rocknroll, the 60s & 70s, and all things groovy. Best club sandwich I've ever had. Sometimes I get a sandwich that doesn't quite float my boat or the proportions of certain ingredients are off, but I always finish eating it feeling satisfied and full! Fast and friendly service. read more

I've been going to this location since they opened (15ish years ago?) and it will always be one of my favorite sandwich shops. I've now lived in NYC for five years (which has incredible bodega sandwiches... I love sandwiches) but every time I'm back in Hudson I'll get Dave's nearly every day. My favorite is the Grateful Dave but you honestly can't go wrong. The bread is fresh and warm, the sauce is so addictive, the pickles are perfect deli pickles, and you can't beat the price. read more

Bomb ass subs. I had the Veg-Out and my brother had the Italian. I looked around at the interior while waiting for my food and it's decked out in rock posters and photos. Pretty cool vibes, good food, good prices. I'd definitely come back again and try more from the menu! read more

The homemade garlic sauce is pretty good...l love garlic. Also the vanilla cream soda was great. It's everything else that was mediocre. Don't get ur subs toasted if u don't like tooth breaking bread...the way the subs are assembled make them hard to get a taste for everything on it in one bite. The chili dog is terrible for 5.79...what chili you might observe. 11.50 for a sub is ridiculous for what you actually receive. For that price maybe the fries should come with it. The bacon sub was a huge disappointment, but if you like the precooked microwave bacon then you'll love it. Again definitely not worth 11.50. Two words for two stars. Overpriced and Overrated. read more
