I used to love this place, but something has changed in the last year or so and the subs taste different. The flavors are not nearly as good as they used to be. Unripe avocados, hard bread, large clumps of really cold cheese, some kind of sweet peppers that clash with the Dave's cosmic sauce, and tiny bags of chips. I think I'm done with this place after my last three visits. Not the same as it was years ago. Staff is friendly but food isn't worth the increased price. read more

I got the large, but honestly I think regular would be good enough. Large was HUGE. The sub was delicious. Loaded with meat, cheese, veggies, seasoning, and sauce. This was our first time ordering from here. We got the meatball sub, ordered it hot. This sub came to us not hot at all and the bread was hard and tough. The meatballs weren't even warm. They put "psychedelic" sauce with the marinara, which to it, made the sub inedible. We threw it out after 3 bites. This was the most disgusting sub we've ever had. We won't be back. read more

Friendly staff, very clean store, and they even made a sub for me that used to be on the old menu but is no longer on the current one.

It's not an Ohio visit without at least one visit to Dave's. If you are used to big chain subs, buckle your seatbelt, these will blow your doors off. The Macedonia location sports all the funky, cosmic decor of its counterpart's but the staff here is particularly impressive. We ordered 3 subs, Dad and I opting for the Super Dave with pastrami and corned beef, Mom ordered the Grateful Dave opting out on the hot pepper juice. Now my parents live nearby in an assisted living, dad squarely in his mid 90s and Mom will be 90 later this year. Mom still found her sandwich too spicy despite the removal of the hot peppers. The staff were phenomenal, crafting her a new sandwich full of turkey and veggies with a dab of mayo at no extra charge even though the fault was not theirs. Put a smile on her face. The regular sandwiches here are enough for two with crusty bread and premium meats. Not to be missed. read more

I love this Dave's location. They always make our food right and have it out fresh. The Dave's sauce on the club is so good. They're usually a little understaffed unfortunately, so it takes longer for them to get the food ready. Inside they have pictures of rockstars and album covers on a blue wall, definitely matches the vibe of the original Dave's in Chagrin Falls. read more

I prefer Italian subs when presented with lunch meat/sub options and this place has nailed it as far as I'm concerned. Cant go wrong with the sloppy dave or the crazy dave. The portion of their subs is nice and plenty of meat to back it up not just bread. Good place for a quick filling bite to eat. Can add and subtract items from sandwiches which is also nice. Enjoyed a Hey Dave today. It has been a while since going to DCS. First time going to this location. Great Wall art and music as usual. My wife had a pizza sub. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this sub spot!! As corny as it sounds I get why it's called "cosmic" subs because that special dressing they have is out of this world!!! I honestly can't put my finger on exactly what it taste like, but just know it's delicious . The toppings are fresh the, roll is nicely toasted and the side a Cajun fries were the perfect top off combination to an already great sub sandwich. There has never been a time when Dave's Cosmic Subs didn't absolutely thrill me! Their subs are the best I've EVER had and it's not even close. The Crazy Dave is my favorite, but all of their choices are fantastic. The Dave's sauce is heavenly and those tiny hot peppers give any sandwich the right kick. I've been coming to this place ever since I was a little kid, at the Hudson location. I was thrilled one moved in closer, I love this place. The aesthetic is amazing if you love classic rocknroll, the 60s & 70s, and all things groovy. Best club sandwich I've ever had. I've now lived in NYC for five years (which has incredible bodega sandwiches... I love sandwiches) but every time I'm back in Hudson I'll get Dave's nearly every day. My favorite is the Grateful Dave but you honestly can't go wrong. Which included some really great tasting meatballs along with a good sauce and good amount of cheese. The bread is delicious. I saw some people on here complain that it's hard and/or stale. Dave's rocks. If you are looking for a cheap sub, with bottom-dollar meats and poofy bread, stay at Subway. Dave's uses a crispy-crust loaf, similar to traditional New Orleans Po-boy bread. You won't cut your gums on the crust (like you might on the best Italian bread), but it's crisp. The meats, cheeses, etc. are all quality stuff. Good dressings. If they would just make a banh mi, I'd never go anywhere else for a sammich. You will spend a couple of bucks more here than you would at Subway. It's worth it. read more

The homemade garlic sauce is pretty good...l love garlic. Also the vanilla cream soda was great. It's everything else that was mediocre. Don't get ur subs toasted if u don't like tooth breaking bread...the way the subs are assembled make them hard to get a taste for everything on it in one bite. The chili dog is terrible for 5.79...what chili you might observe. 11.50 for a sub is ridiculous for what you actually receive. For that price maybe the fries should come with it. Their menu says they deliver Monday-Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. However, 95% of the time they say they're not delivering. Hopefully, management will straighten this out as it can be construed as false advertisement. Other than this problem the staff are quite friendly. read more
