This Taco Bell (?) converted to a diner has a small town feel with big heart. On a girls trip visiting Cleveland, we wanted to venture out on a rainy day for an authentic experience. The waitresses were super friendly and tag teamed for an efficient dining experience. The owner/cook came out to greet us and whipped up a great lamb gyro. The icing on the cake? We came from out of town for a wedding this weekend. We ate here yesterday and came back today because it was Just. So. Good. It was so clean, exceptionally friendly, family-owned AND -run. The food was impeccable. It's not easy to achieve the perfect egg (each of the ways we ordered!) or the perfect hash brown, but they did it. We had a party of 7, but our food all came out together fresh, and our coffee was never cold. Between the 7 of us (in 2 trips!) we tried most of the menu. Wow this place is the bomb , been driving past here for 4 years and this place is great . I had the farmer's skillet and it was Devine . Some of the best sausage gravy for suuuureee! It's small inside gets crowded but it's worth wait wasn't too bad at all for a crowded restaurant . My wife had the western skillet , and I must say everything taste so fresh . Not your sloppy breakfast spot . They serve lunch here too , and offer to go menu. This is actually an old Taco Bell building so you know it's small . I met some one for a breakfast date. I'm new to the area and this was close to my house so I suggested we eat here. He agreed and we met here. He gave me flowers upon arriving. We went in and it was kinda confusing there aren't really signs telling you if you order at the window or be seated. It was super busy which is always a good sign. I went to the counter and asked about ordering. We were told to go ahead and seat ourselves they will bring menus, etc. As soon as we found a spot our waitress came out with menus and asked our drink orders. She was very friendly and the restaurant itself is homey, even tho it's a renovated taco bell. My date laughed when I told him I had read reviews about it being an old taco bell. The reason I brought up the flowers is one of the other waitresses made us crack up. Everytime she passed our table she would do a boo boo lip and stomp her feet. She said she was jealous and lucky. I just giggled everytime she passed. The staff is very, very friendly and the service is excellent. They are quick to get your orders, our drinks were never empty. The food was really good and it's inexpensive. With it being close to my house I'm sure I'll be frequenting here. It does get busy so keep that in mind. It's a pretty good size little restaurant tho. I didn't get pics of the food or the restaurant because I didn't have my phone out. I don't want to be rude. I did get some pics of the menu tho. They also have take out. Not bad! I love all the new places popping up in old Brooklyn, they really add to the community. I wouldn't say this place is like a greasy spoon diner, but it's not the fanciest of diners either. But it is definitely the best renovated old-Taco-Bell building I have ever been in. And I have strangely been in a lot of those... My food was good enough that I would come back. I'm not barging down the door to get back but, it's good to keep in the repertoire if I ever just want to pay a little bit more. Plus, nice staff and clean and parking. In town visiting family and this restaurant came up as the closest to where I was staying. Daybreak is a great breakfast spot! It's one of those places that you see in movies where the locals go everyday and the wait staff already has the regulars orders ready. I enjoyed the interior and the decoration. When you walk in you can seat yourself and you are quickly asked what you would like to drink. They have lots of breakfast/ brunch options and very cheap prices. I ordered the breakfast combo and my sister ordered the farmers skillet. Everything was delicious and all for under $20 for 2 people. Definitely a hidden gem if you are visiting Cleveland. read more

Very underwhelming! After driving by many times, we made plans to stop at Daybreak for breakfast. From the looks of it, the restaurant is a cute diner with a modern twist. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated but the gentleman who took our beverage orders neglected to listen to our entire party, meaning that only half of us got drinks. Food wise, it was boring, below-average breakfast food. Our entire table was disappointed in their food, whether it be french toast, omlettes or sausage biscuits and gravy. The server who brought us food could tell that we weren't happy and took one meal off our bill, but it was too late to inspire us to return. This place is adorable and their prices are SO reasonable. One of my besties and I ended up getting coffee, two meals, and two add ons for 20 dollars. Their combo comes with two meats! We ordered it, added stuff to the eggs (jalapeño and cheese) and a side order of hash browns. And a side order of biscuits and gravy. Delicious. Both of us cleaned our plates and were kind of sad that we aren't in this area more often! It's clean. It's quaint. It's got happy, positive signage everywhere. Their service is also amazing.
