Located inside of Doral yard. Service was very quick. The duck Bao buns were absolutely amazing. The entrées are very large, larger than I was expecting. Dim Sum was good but not the best I've ever had. I'll probably order them again. Prices are solid given that serving sizes are large. Will be coming back! read more

Oh-MY-DUMPLINGS! Haha I had to start this off with an emphasis! I'm not even sure where to begin. Okay first off, this location of Yip is located in the up and coming Doral Yards. When you go in you're hit by plant life and velvet chairs. The whole environment just gives you the "ill chill here for a while" vibes. This is the kind of place where you go up to the register to order and have the food brought to you. Simple and quick enough and they display the menu on their letterhead and by the register. Now, THE FOOD. We had never been to Yip so asked our server Abigail to guide us through the menu. She recommended her personal favorites and described the most loved dishes. First up was, the Shanghai Soup dumplings. I have been to many different dumpling spots but never had I been shocked the way I was with these dumplings! The first bite literally explodes a pork broth into your mouth where you feel the immense heat and texture of the pork all at once. Once the shock settles you're left with the fluffiest flavor of pork broth. I can only explain it like a sucker punch to the palate and then caught by a cloud. That alone made this place a MUST COME BACK location for my wife and I. The second recommendation, which was a personal favorite from Abby, was the Soft Shell Crab Bao. Bao wow. You see you guys are making me corny. The first bite is how you learn the garnish sauce is a spicy one. If you're not a fan of spicy at all, I do recommend you ask for alternatives or no sauce. But if you can handle it then push through because it truly ties the Bao together. So first you get the kick and feel the soft crunch of the crab followed by a refreshing break from the cucumber allowing the flavors to work together. Which I will say is impressive since most spicy dishes are dominated by the spice itself. The last dish we went with was the Mixed Fried Rice. The tastes hit the traditional fried rice flavor. Only difference for me personally was it was much less oily which was great. Many times I find it exhausting eating fried rice because of the excess oil. But this dish really held back on the oil, but not the flavor. My wife really liked that the shrimp was very well cooked instead of half way-from our experiences. Overall, five stars and more if I could. I can say wholeheartedly it'll be the first on many visits because we are now determined to try the entire menu. Which you can do without going bankrupt! The quality is worth the price which surprisingly isn't inflated. The service was top notch! Abby was very helpful and you could see she actually liked the food she was representing which was great to see. Usually we get offered the most expensive instead of their actual favorites and it was nice to receive honest feedback. The trip here is worth it for your palate and the sights. This is a great spot for fresh, made-to-order Asian food. While they're best known for bao and dim sum, my favorite dish is their wok stir fried rice! The servings are very generous and they were happy to make me a special fried rice with no eggs. The fact that they can accommodate special requests like this means I'll be visiting a lot more. Well, I've already been three times and each time I enjoyed the food so much that I forgot to snap a picture! Added bonus: the staff is pretty awesome. We went there last night twice, for the first and last times. It is a sad commentary on Miami that this place is listed as one of the top 10 Dim Sum places here, unless there are only 9 of them here. The food was terrible. The shrimp in the dumplings was off and the pork was of obvious poor quality. The pork dumplings were over friend and dripping in oil and I'm not sure if they used pork or horse meat. The portions were chintzy for the money charged. They call themselves a dim sum place but they don't have the hot oil (Sriracha doesn't count) or the right dipping sauce for the soup dumplings. The health inspectors need to visit because there is no way that the food was stored and handled properly. The Doral Yard itself is cute and the service was friendly. But I hate paying a 18% tip to someone taking my order to prevent them from spitting in my food. We will never go back. read more

Very disappointing experience as we drove to downtown Doral to try this specific place. The pricing is way off, the bao buns servings were small, the boba tea was watered down with the boba balls so stuck together that they barely even made it through the straws. The Udon noodles were made with very dry chicken and what seemed to be Walmart-grade frozen vegetables. Definitely not a 40$ meal. Never going back. read more
