Yum! Didn't come in here expecting it would be so good, I just pass by it like every day so decided to try. Usually I don't like spring rolls but these ropa vieja ones were amazing. Super full and had both Asian and Cuban flavor. The shrimp bao buns were very flavorful and soft. I'm not a fan of these kinds of super fried and crispy tacos so I wouldn't get that again. But the mahi inside was good.

My husband and I were out late and decided to stop here to get a late dinner, they were one of the only places open (it was Wednesdays at about 11 PM). The food was so good! I got the chiki chiki taco, and my husband loved his Ropa Vieja spring roll (I had a Ropa Vieja spring roll as well, and it was delicious). The service was great, everyone was so friendly and smiley. There isn't much seating available in this place, but if you do manage to get a seat to eat in I recommend. The vibe is different from other places, it was nice eating there. Glad to have found this place.
WOW! Still obsessed w this place. The food is SO fresh and such a good fusion of flavors. The ropa vieja egg rolls are PACKED with meat. So flavorful and delicious. The bao con lechon are my favs. But everything is incredible. Omg the ceviche...must have the 305 tacos. Perfectly crispy. This is such a fun hidden gem local spot. Service is so nice and friendly. I think it's family owned. Parking is easy. HIGHLY recommend this spot. My family can be picky but everyone LOVED it. So fun

I am happy they have a vegetarian options (mushroom) since you don't always find that. Everything we tried was delicious and packed with flavor. We tried the mushroom yakitori AMAZING. The mushroom bao buns - DIVINE. The carb wontons also very good The service was fast and efficient. It's a very chill vibe with outdoor seating and casual atmosphere. Nothing fancy but the food is worth it!

I've driven by this place a few times as the name is intriguing and clever. We wanted to try. So, we did. Ambiance: Upon entering, it's quite small. I was expecting Mexican tacos, but it's Asian fusion place. I honestly almost left as the menu was very difficult to read due to the font and colors. I was having a hard time figuring out the concept and what to order. I suggest they adjust their menu from color and font so it's easier to read. If it's your first time, it's a bit overwhelming. We were about to leave, but saw the slideshow of pictures of food and this was helpful in making a decision in ordering. Food: Crab wontons, shrimp tempura platter with fried rice, mango boba, chispa tacos, and ropa vieja spring rolls. Taco shell were fresh and crisp. The Ropa Vieja spring rolls were tough to eat. The flavor was ok and the meat was not as tender as I expected. $11 for 2 spring rolls was a bit steep. The crab wontons were delicious. The mango boboa tea is good, but it tasted a bit like mango juice as opposed to mango tea. Service: Excellent! Everything was brought out to us in disposable trays as soon as it was cooked. My family and I enjoyed. We will return.

A great way to spend your Saturday night... eating all the good stuff. Taco Bao'T It is an Asian fusion spot in a quaint shopping center. It's tiny but mighty.... Very trendy decor with ample seating both indoor and outdoor. The food was DELICIOUSSS (please do yourself a favor and try the ropa vieja spring rolls). The service, however, stood out amongst everything. The owner (Mirta) was around and spent some time chatting with us, offering a sample of a traditional Peruvian drink after mentioning I wanted lemonade, and came to check up on us. Please do yourself a favor and come support this local business!! They are amazing.
TLDR: quick and easy lunch break to go spot. Not somewhere I'd travel out of the way for, but would get again for convenience. FOOD Chicken and waffles: I was surprised that they didn't skimp on the chicken. Good flavors, not overly sweet. It was drenched in sauce though so also not good food if you want to keep your fingers cleanish. I do wish that there was some other ingredient to balance out the baos, but it WAS called chicken and waffles and when did that come with greens. For $12, it was filling but kind of left me wanting more. AMBIANCE Very small place with some standing tables but no where to sit. Definitely not somewhere to hang with friends.

Ordered pork belly bao, rock shrimp, and a taro boba tea for delivery. Everything was phenomenal!! Fresh and beyond delicious. I only have one tiny big complaint.... The taro tea needs to be bigger because it was just so delicious!! LOL. In the mood for boba and bao? This is the place!! read more

Came here with the kids for dinner. The lady at the front was very nice and gave us some great recommendations. We tried Bao fest, which let us try three different types of bao. We had Spicy pork bao, which was super delicious, not as spicy as we anticipated. We also tried pork belly bao, which was delicious as well. The third bao we tried was a pork sweet one but was plain, it was ok, least favorite. We also had Ropa Vieja spring rolls, which were delicious and went well with the sauce provided. read more

The photos don't do this place justice! This hidden gem is in the heart of Kendall. If you're looks for a twist on tacos, this is the place to be. They also have amazing bao buns!! To start off, the Chispa tacos have a taco shell that is made with wonton just like crab rangoon wontons casing! I love that, it really makes this place stand out. The tacos are filled with tempura battered chicken, and are smothered in a sweet and tangy, honey chili sauce. Every bite has you wanting more, to the point that you continue to eat even though you are already full. Another item, I highly recommend are the bao buns. There are so many to chose from; pork, crab, shrimp, chicken and waffle, lechon and even mushroom for all you vegetarians out there! You can also get a combination of proteins in your bao order. My favorite to order are the shrimp tempura bao buns. The aioli coleslaw on top really gives it that burst of flavor, with just the right amount of spiciness. There is also a small list of boba tea to chose from if you're looking for something yummy to drink with your food. As well as Japanese soda pop, Ramune! Overall, this spot is amazing! What a flavor bomb! I am so glad I stopped by this place instead of some other fast food places. The food here is so delicious!! (A little on the salty side, but that's just me.) You can choose between tiny hard shell tacos and fluffy white bao buns. There are a variety of stuffings you can put in them: a variety of pork, chicken, fish, and every mushrooms. I am happy they listen to their customers, and now offer combo options where you can choose different flavors for your 3 baos or 6 tacos, instead of having them all the same. It's great because there are quite a few to try, and also make it less boring. Face it, the place has only a long counter with stools for eat in, so it's not you can invite a bunch of friends to share a plate. read more

Have you ever driven by a stretch of road day after day, week after week, month after month, and suddenly one day you take a double look because there is a store there no had never seen before, and you are like "Where did that come from?" Well, this is pretty much what happened to me with this store. In a little strip mall on the north side of Kendall and about 99 avenue, a mall that I go to rather frequently as they have Checkers Liquor Store, Ace Hardware and Di Papa Italian Restaurant, suddenly I saw a new Taco store. I must admit, I was I no rush to go there anytime soon as taco stores are dime a dozen around here, but I kept an eye on it on Yelp, and sure enough, positive review after positive review and finally I had to go there and see things for myself. This store is rather small, mostly for take out and delivery, I guess, even though there a couple of small tables inside and outside. But the first thing that strikes you is the staff who are very pleasant and cordial. The cashier seemed to be genuinely happy to be there and she gave us a breakdown of everything on the menu, along with her favorites. I must admit, I did not know what Bao was. We ordered the food, which was prepared very quickly, left the store and looked at the quantity of it, and went back to get more. The food was good. Tacos and Baos are pretty small which is why they serve the Tacos in packs of 6 and Baos in packs of 3, and it is still on the small side. Yes, you can find cheaper Tacos or larger portions in other places, but as they say, you get what you paid for. I am looking forward to going back there and trying other flavors read more

Small place with a explosion of flavors. Their twist on baos is phenomenal. I got the Bao Fest and tried the chicken and waffles, really good. The service is fasta and staff is friendly. It's not a place to hang out but the ambiance is nice just to sit down and wait for your food. Didn't order any drinks...maybe next time...I will definitely come back with my daughter. read more

The ceviche tacos were my favorite we grabbed to go very quickly but it was really cute inside and the outside had paper on the tables with crayons for the kiddos we came in about 30 minutes before close and everyone was so friendly! read more

I had been driving past a few times until I finally stopped, and it was delicious! If you're a bao bun lover, stop here for some fun bao options. They also have taco options. I recommend mixing up your options so you can try a little of everything. Parking is an open lot, so it's not a hassle. read more

This Asian-Latín fusion restaurant is a TRUE hidden GEM! I came across taco bao't it on tik tok and decided to give it a try as it seemed good on videos and boy they did not disappoint. The flavors on their tacos/bao buns are out of this world. I tried their pork belly bao bun which was a perfect combo of sweet & spicy. Tried the shrimp tempura bao bun and their shrimp tacos recommended by the nice lady that took my order. I loved that their taco shell are fried wanton. This made them extra crunchy. I also had a mango boba tea and a lychee Ramune . Both were delicious! The boba tea was more on the purée side rather than tea but I didn't mind it. I want to talk about Taco Bao't it!! Small, but it's all there. Check out the menu. I got soft shell crabs on a bao bun. The girl who helped me was awesome!!! I waited in my car. It arrives. So good! 3 fluffy bao buns, aioli & thin pickles. Just try!! read more
