This seemed to be a reliable neighborhood restaurant that you'd frequent often if you lived nearby. I ordered pad Thai with pork and my daughter had the first ramen in the menu with pork belly. My pad Thai was delicious, and the pork was a bit unexpected, as the chunks were large and meaty. I tried a bit of the ramen, which had a great taste. I was personally not really a fan of one of the vegetables that was inside and it really changed the taste of everything else. The chicken was cooked very well. I feel like the Ramen was just missing a bit of seasoning and flavor. The egg was cooked very well and was soft on the inside. It was also pre-marinated. The seafood cake was a nice touch. Stopped for a late night snack. The decision was great. Place is small but carries a punch. Service is cordial and professional all the way. Every so often we were checked upon to make sure if we needed anything (really liked that a lot). We order some simple dishes and to my surprise they were on point. Temperature were perfect on the fried noodles, edamame, and tempura as well as the taste. The only downside was the rice which was simple. I would recommend providing Jasmine rice. The aroma and texture makes good on any combination of foods. Additionally to my surprise the tax was 8%. In Florida is 6% and another 1% for local surtax, totaling 7% (Didn't pursue it further.) Ambience was casual no noise or fanfare just a good old dinner quick and to the point. I do recommend this place as it does provided quality taste thus far. read more

Or you can stay with Vegetable options. Variety of noddles (Udon, Korean fried, Thai rice), different broths and sauces. My first experience at Z Ramen was a good one. I read someone's review on Yelp about it and that they had the best Pad Thai so I had to go try. I wasn't disappointed. We ordered the scallion pancakes to start, which were crispy and served with a sweet Thai chili sauce that was good. I appreciated that they have two vegetarian ramen soup options! I opted for the miso option, which was a good base for the veggies. I also added an egg - which wasn't as soft as other ramen eggs I've had - and tofu - which was very good. Let me start by saying the food here is delicious. But the "owner" today made it unacceptable for me to eat here again. I'm not actually quite sure he was the owner but that's what he says, he also says he's the chef and today he was the waiter. Anyway, we'd been waiting for someone to approach the table for about ten minutes and he comes out from the back and takes the order of a family who had JUST sat down. So I called him over and I let him know and he apologized and started to take our order. Problem solved and it should have stopped there right? Wrong. He proceeds to call over the waitress and yell at her publicly in front of the other four families who were eating there. Okay but now he's surely gonna stop right? Wrong. Something inside him just tells him to keep going. Keep in mind he's already apologized to us. Now he turns to me and goes "I'm gonna take your order but you know it's not a big deal who was first right?" I let him know that his behavior is unacceptable and he proceeds to get louder. Although the food has an aesthetic presentation and our server was very pleasant, unfortunately our food was inedible. This has nothing to do with our server or the service at all, my problem was the food. Aside from the edamame the octopus appetizer we ordered had a very strong un fresh fish smell and no taste whatsoever ever, very weird and bland but still not as offensive as the ramen my wife ordered. The broth smelled, the taste was off and we decided not to eat it, My pad Thai had a smoky taste to it as if over cooked all day but was well seasoned with lots of sauce. I ordered bao buns as a saving grace when I saw my wife had left the ramen aside after the first spoon. The bao bun dough was perfect but the pork inside; chewy, over cooked and bland. Typically I'm disappointed when I try new Ramen spots, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with Z Ramen. It's a small, but cute restaurant tucked away in a corner of the large Palms at Town & Country shopping mall. Our waitress was attentive and efficient, inside was nicely decorated with beautiful Japanese style murals. The food was tasty, a little too much of the herb taste in the tonkotsu, but overall really good. We will definitely come back and try some other stuff on the menu. read more

Was happily surprised to find a ramen spot close to home. Parking galore and cozy inside. You can sit and grub and order and go. Seats are comfy and although space is limited your still comfortable. Menu sounds tasty and has a nice variety of ramen and noodle options along with shareables. I was in the mood for an appetizer and noodles.so I had the shrimp shumai which is steamed and bite sized. I enjoyed it with the hot chili sauce available on each table instead of the sauce it came with but that's just me. For my main I went with the spicy chicken udon noodles with veggies. It was tasty and filling but I had to add 2 spicy sauces as I noticed a hint of sweetness. But after adding the extra spiciness I was happy.
