I love bubble tea and was very happy to stumble on this cute boba shop in South Miami. Boba, also known as bubble milk tea and pearl milk tea, is generally a cold, sweet milk tea served with chewy tapioca balls. The drink became popular in the US in the 1990's when Taiwanese immigrants opened the first bubble tea shop in California. While the antioxidants in the tea are positive for your health, the drinks can contain a lot of sugar so everything in moderation. Teajito is a small tea shop that opened in 2018. The inside is cheerfully decorated with a wall decked out for your Instagram photos. They even have a few games you can borrow if you want to hang out with friends. There are a couple of seats inside and a few more out front. The menu includes green fruit tea, mojito tea, fruit smoothies, macchiato, milk tea, yogurt green tea, and coffee. All of the drinks are made with the freshest, quality ingredients. Service was friendly and prompt. They had my favorite lychee green tea with lychee popping boba. It was made with the perfect amount of ice and was very refreshing during my walk at a nearby park. I really enjoyed discovering Teajito while visiting this area. read more

I found this hidden gem today while I was on my way to the UPS store in the same plaza. Inside it's very welcoming and decorated nicely. They have a lot of options since it was my first time I asked the cashier what her favorite was and she gave me 2 options I decided to go with the Tiger Milk Boba and I can say it was amazing. The picture I have attached is a size small which I felt was just enough. The milk tea was creamy, rich and sweet! I had been craving some bubble tea recently but didn't have many places around me. So I was excited to see there was one not far from where I was going to be one day. I stopped in for my usual go to which is Thai Milk Tea with boba. This is a small shop in a Publix plaza. It's small but pretty inside with cute decor and an IG picture spot. There are just a few bar seats for seating, as it's not really an eat-in place. (There are also no public bathrooms). However, they did have a basket of board games which was a nice touch. My Thai Milk Tea was good.. a slightly milder flavor than I'm used to, but that was fine. I had a couple small macaroons too (caramel and pistachio) which were delish. They have those along with pocky snacks in a small fridge on the counter (but no other food). I was the only one there, and the service was quick and very friendly. One of the few places that serves Green Thai tea--it was good, ditto with the guanababa-lychee green tea which looked like it was made with real fruit juice and not just syrups. The tea is excellent. I had a passion fruit smoothie and it was incredible. We also order a honey dew and a Thai milk tea. Everyone liked their order. We had our tea to-go. The staff was soooo slow. My favorite boba place. Drinks are not overly sugary like in the other boba places where they charge you 9 dollars or more after all for boba, like Say Tea Smile. Amazing service and the people are super patient when you don't know what to order, there's more room for customization of your drink than other places. Also the macchiatos are refreshing because is not necessarily bunch of milk but actually is like a unique frothy kind of milk, almost like foam, that blends into the teas beautifully. Oh man, I'm so happy we found this place. Their matcha macchiato (matcha tea with sea salt crema) was ON POINT ! I ordered a medium with honey boba and it was perfection. The strong matcha flavor came through without being bitter. The sea salt crema added that epic sweet salty creaminess when mixed with the honey boba (I'm salivating). We also ordered a classic milk tea with honey boba and egg pudding. They were very generous with the pudding and boba so come hungry. Cute little decor around. Came in for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted a refreshing tea with fruity bobas and found this location. I order for pick up thru google/DoorDash. This shop is pretty small, but has a cute decor. The service was fine. Now I had requested one of the teas to be 50% less sugar. However both of the teas ordered were extremely sweet! Not so much refreshing but more of a very sugary drink. They did have a nice flavor , but definitely too sweet. I would recommend to try, but if you don't like your drink too sweet order in store and specify it. read more

I love that Teajito is so consistent. I never get boba that are too hard or too squishy; they're always just right. The menu has a great variety, with honey boba, crystal boba, and popping boba, plus they have some jellies and sea salt crema options. There is a good variety of teas and coffees, both with and without milk. They also carry almond milk as a milk substitute. Right now the seating options are limited to the outside benches, probably because of covid. When you come, make sure you pick up one of the stamp cards so you can eventually get a free drink. read more

Buyer Beware Teenagers Running the Business by themselves and hidden surcharges!!! I went in with my family to get 2 bubble teas and was shocked to be charged $1.45 without being disclosed for using a credit card less than $15!!!! The very young cashier never stated that I would be charged nor did the sign state a surcharge. Actually, the person behind me mentioned something about a minimum order of $15 and that is when I asked if I was charged that surcharge. The very young cashier stated yes and she stated that there were signs up. There was a sign up, (see attached) however, they did not disclose a surcharge only a minimum charge of $15 I then wanted to canceled the order and pay cash and the cashier came back and said I couldn't do that! I then told the cashier to cancel my order completely, since I have not consumed the product. She then went to get another young employee and said she was sorry but she couldn't refund the order! We then told her that we would be contacting the credit card company and disputing the charge! After leaving, my husband went back and took pictures of the signs and took a picture of the outside door. The next thing I knew, there was an employee that came running out screaming at us, we are just college students!"! She also threatened to take picture of us which she did! We came to relax and have a refreshing drink not be ripped off by a mom and pop shop ran by teenyboppers! It is not about the $1.45 it is the principle!!!! How dare this company make a profit from all the surcharges of all their customers when they are not even aware!!!! My family and I will NEVER be back! I hope they are reported to the better business bureau! read more

Unfortunately yelpers I will probably not be back to this place. It was my friend and I first time... The guy in the front was so unpleasant that my friend had to say "I apologize it's my first time"! She was trying to get more information about the smoothies and he acted like we were supposed to know‍ He then proceeds to say "OH, you have never been here" like it is some popping hot spot! In Miami! When it is a hole in the wall place She got a smoothie but then I asked if I could just have a green tea (plain) with lychee pop and tapioca.. An the guy tried to force me to get a sweetener which I didn't want. Asking what flavor and I kept having to tell just "GREEN TEA"..! Not everyone can have all that sugar especially me with diabetes. Then when I insisted/didn't back down. He then said "oh it shouldn't be a problem but we've never been asked that before"... Ugh I got 2 orders for my son and older nephew green tea with strawberry flavor with lychee pop and tapioca. I asked for 1 in large because my son always gets it and then as for small. Then, when the drinks come out, I had asked for a large for mine. An he screwed up again, we ended up with one large for my son, small for my nephew & smalls, for me which was incorrect. I was in the area after a hot day at the zoo and wanted something to quench the thirst. TeaJito was in the area and decided to try a jasmine milk tea and a green thai tea macchiato, both at 50% sweet with pearls. And, well I guess they sorta did what we wanted them to do as it temporarily quenched our thirst. The green thai tea macchiato was definitely more than 50% sweet and a bit thick, but love that matcha profile. The jasmine green tea was floral, but not very strongly so. If anything the tea on that one was a bit weak. Pearls have to be chewy and bouncy and they do that well at TeaJito. But honey boba should at least be sweet individually or have some taste, otherwise it really just feels like empty calories (more than it already is). So all that said, if you need a boba fix, sure, but only just. read more
