The food is outstanding. The service is great. But if you get nothing else, buy a pot of tea. We had the Mango/Passionfruit and it was the best freakin hot tea I've ever had. No, I'm not kidding. DRINK. THE. TEA!!! read more

Yens café in Ashburne is absolutely by far the best taiwanese Chinese at Ryan Park in Ashburn Virginia. It's right next to Panera bread and Home Depot. The owners Rodney and Sue are so welcoming and very very friendly!! They make you feel at home and treat you like family The menu is so extensive to include over 200 items to choose from. The food here at Yens Café is over-the-top AMAZING!!!! The cuisine is very authentic and not your every day run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant! You will want to come back over and over and over again. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is wonderful and the owners couldn't be any better!! If you do not come here you are missing out for sure!!! read more

This place is small but is worth the wait! You know this place is good because it's always full of Chinese customers. Their food us so different and many to choose from. They also have teas and fruit smoothies. read more

Delicious Chinese/Taiwanese food and excellent customer service! We ordered Taiwanese fried chicken with basil, A-Tsai, and a pot of Mango/Passionfruit tea. The tea came in a cute tea set and was kept warm throughout our meal with a tealight. The fried chicken and basil was savory and crunchy, and surprisingly less greasy than I thought it would be. It was a great pairing with our plate of A-Tsai vegetables. The staff was very friendly, checking in on us quite often to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was small, but just as others have said, cozy. I will definitely be coming back here often and soon. read more

Our entire neighborhood raves about this place. We finally gave it a try a couple of weeks ago and LOVE it. Easily the best shrimp I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Delivery was fast and the drive was extremely friendly. Their crab rangoon is on point and you definitely feel you're getting your money's worth. The lo mein wasn't my absolute favorite but it was still tasty. And not super oily or greasy. Not a huge fan of them being closed on Mondays (when I absolutely do NOT want to cook!) but other than that, no complaints. Highly recommend. read more

Delicious food, friendly staff, authentic dishes. They have managed to get the delivery down pat so the condensation from hot food doesn't ruin their quality. They are expensive, but it's worth it if you eat in. read more

4.5 stars. Smoothie selection is great especially for athletes, they have alot of bannana, avocado yogurt items. Chinese food selection all good and refreshing, alot of classic chinese dishes. Thumbs up for no MSG read more

I love their food! They are super nice and kind. Also they're food is very authentic and has a ton of flavor. I just got my favorite dish today which was minced pork and green beans. read more

I'm so bad at writing reviews..... This was my first time here, it was pretty good kind of like a homely place to get some yummy food! We ordered some hot tea, it came in this nice glass tea pot with matching tea cups super cute! But just don't break it or you'll be forking out $150 bucks for it. read more

Yen's Cafe - Salt&pepper pork chops beef pan fry noodles and passion tea. - Taiwanese Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

Could not be happier with the food and the service! Wow. They always smile and greet us. They love kids too! We have had Chinese all over the country and in Canada, and this is the best! We especially love the fresh juices and smoothies- real fruit! This place is hands down #1! We have yet to eat something there that we don't like lol. Usually when you go to a restaurant you have one or two items you love, but, here, everything is AHmazing! :) We actually eat here way too much since discovering this gem. You don't just want to eat here, you need to eat here. ;) read more

This is my favorite Chinese food in Northern Virginia. However, the ambiance of the restaurant doesn't match up to the price you pay. I would even go as far to say it's not a great value for delivery in particular. That being said, it is the best food around. They have an enormous loose-leaf tea selection and pair it well with a well described tea menu. read more

Best Chinese food around... so fresh and full of flavors. It's pricey but very worth it.

Accidentally ordered here instead of yen's kitchen and were very disappointed. Food was bland

Delicious food. Very friendly staff and accommodating with our 1 year old- brought her a kids bowl, fork and spoon. read more

Discovered this place back in October 2018 when I visited this area for housing since I was moving to Ashburn from Miami, Fl. The food was amazing. For the last few months I had been trying to remember the name and address of this location. Tried various Chinese restaurants in the area and was not satisfied with this food. Finally I went back and reviewed my credit card invoice for October 2018 and found the name of the restaurant. I can't wait to visit again this upcoming weekend ! Taiwanese food is amazing ! read more

A family owned restaurant with some authentic taiwanese food! There is some dish call Lion Head something that is ohh so good. even typical americanized "orange beef" didnt taste the same it was light and very yummy. I came into the restaurant after work close to 9pm. the lady that worked there saw that i was very tired. she recommended some tea that tasted so good that i walked out of the restaurant with a smile. if you go there you have to try one of the smoothy or tea. have them recommend something for you! the surprise is worth it! :) read more

What a great find! I'm always on the lookout for a good Chinese restaurant and was happy to find this one. Very tidy and clean, even the restrooms. Very small inside, not much seating. I knew it was a good sign when the few remaining tables quickly filled up with Chinese patrons :-) The food was good but we only ordered a few things so until I make a return trip, I'm only giving 4 stars. Much better Chinese food than ANY other restaurant on the area. After sampling a couple more dishes I'm pretty certain that my rating might jump to 5 stars. The service was great and prompt, definitely 5 star in that category (but that's not hard to do in a place that only has maybe 10 tables, lol). I'm looking forward to going back. read more

Best chinese in Ashburn by a long shot. Be sure to ask for the Chinese Menu. Lots of treats there for the adventurous diner. Also, my pick, vegetarian daughter adores their Gen Tsos tofu. The staff could not be more welcoming. They are OUTSTANDING! read more

I am finally getting around to posting about this place. This place is great. I've been looking for an Asian cuisine in Ashburn that will accommodate my allergies with onions. When it comes to making sure about your order with an allergen this is the place. I order sesame chicken and this dish normally comes with onions anywhere you go but this place made it from scratch and not only that they tripled checked with me on what could or couldn't be in or around my food. Not only were they on the ball with my onion allergy it was a great meal. It had great taste and good portions. The people that work there are awesome too. I was able to meet the cook that made my meal. She came out to check on how my party was doing and said something very interesting. "Cooking is in the heart you need to love what you make and who you make it for." She treats every dish like she is cooking it for her family and you can tell that she loves what she does. I have been back since my first time and the 2nd was even better then the first. I highly recommend this place, great food and great people. read more

Yens Cafe is small but mighty. After hearing about their amazing dumplings from my coworkers, I finally checked it out. The lunch specials are extensive and the dumplings are fresh and delicious. The service is so friendly and accommodating, they even offered to give me a to-go cup so I could finish the pot of tea I ordered with lunch. Even though it was a trek to get there, I would absolutely do it again and again and again. read more

This was my go to place for Chinese delivery. They don't deliver anymore which is a shame. But the food is on point. Portions are also really good. read more

Like most Northern Virginia hamlets Ashburn is home to more Asian restaurants than gas stations but that shouldn't stop you from giving Yen's Cafe your undivided attention. Yen's Cafe is a true gem in the culinary wasteland that is Ashburn. I have not found a better or more authentic Chinese\Taiwanese restaurant in all of Loudoun County. The generous service is truly first class, and they have an incredibly diverse, fresh, and unique menu. They even make bitter gourd taste great! All of their drinks (teas and smoothies in particular) and deserts are amazing. On multiple occasions the chef has taken the time to allow us to try various deserts she's made free of charge. All of this comes at a fairly reasonable price. Try them today if you haven't already. read more

This is really a good Chinese restaurant. For some reason I try fried rice first in any Chinese restaurant. Yen's have the best fried rice and for sure I will be back to try rest of their menu. I got a complement dessert that was delicious and can not explain how much I liked it. Unfortunately they haven't named it yet. read more

I would have never thought I could find a Taiwanese food place in this area. When I saw it on ylep I had to try it for my self. It's located behind the strip next to subway so drive around. First, I tried the sesame chicken to play it safe and compare. It was off the hook the flavors are there just like home. I then I asked something with tofu and she recommended a spicy one... loved it!!!! Going to try everything on the menu now while I'm still here visiting the east coast. This place is a must try! read more

Best Chinese Loudoun County has to offer. We never get the stereotypical American/Chinese food, so if you ask you can find some great authentic options. Order the lionshead (meatballs), fantastic. read more

This restaurant always has amazing food, but I love the atmosphere. The walls are decorated, the teapots are beautiful, and even the plates are above standard. This is THE place to go for a cozy Taiwanese dinner. My bf is Taiwanese and he says the Vegetable spring rolls and chinese broccoli with oyster sauce is authentic. I can't tell, it all tastes fantastic to me! The vegetarian crispy pan-fried noodles are my favorite. read more

I was amazed to find authentic Taiwanese/Chinese dishes out here in Sterling. Things like fish maw soup, pipa tofu, pea tip greens, etc. I've tried those few items so far and liked them all. I haven't tried any of the traditional American-Chinese takeout dishes, but I'm sure they are great too. I give the food a 4.5 and the service a 5. This is definitely the go-to place for anyone staying at the Aloft less than 5 min away. read more

Friendly staff, service was good and fast. Food is tasty and not too salty. Their tea selection was amazing, highly recommend for tea drinkers. A lot of tea flavors to choose from. We got free dessert of warm custard and red bean bun. Place is small but we were accommodated in a timely manner. If your coming here with a big party you might be seated on different tables. read more

The best Chinese food in Ashburn area, and I'm Chinese. I could tell that the ingredients are careful selected for their quality. Each meal is beautifully presented, delicious of course. Even the glass for water are high quality (from Italy I was told). My kids who usually refuse to eat Chinese too often had no objection going to Yen's. My only complaint is that the place is too small. Hope they can expand someday. read more

I've always thought the mark of a superb restaurant is the quality and tastiness of the food - and whether indigenous locals patronize the establishment. I have found my new favorite place! Small with only eight tables the service is unrushed and attentive. Yen's Cafe is a most try! So I checked out Yens again. Same! Not disappointed. I'll add that another measure of a great restaurant is cleanliness of its restrooms. This place scores tops in my book! read more

This is legit. Very crowded on Fridays and weekends. Service gets crazy then. The pastry at the end is amazing (usually just weekdays). We always make it a point to get only Taiwanese dishes and not typical mainstream Americanized ones. Also the tea is so good with dehydrated honey crystals. read more

Ordered for carry out for pick up and the person who answered assumed it was for 8pm even though I said 15 min is fine. The person kept saying I said I ordered for 2 hours later. Also don't order their smoothies, they use old fruit that the juices turn brown a few minutes later. One of their mango juices made me sick after drinking it. I use to like going to this Chinese restaurant but after these experiences won't be coming back again. They need to hire employees that will understand and listen to the orders. read more

Yens offers a delicious variety of food, and while they do a great job with "Americanized" asian dishes, I recommend you try their authentic Taiwan dishes, such as three cup chicken. I've been coming here for years. Really fantastic, quality authentic Taiwanese food. I was honestly surprised to see this place only has 4/5 stars on yelp.. It honestly deserves more.
