Went to Yen Viet Kitchen with friends, and the restaurant was packed! The restaurant itself isn't very big, but it can fit about 40 people inside. We had a party of 6 and waited about 30 minutes. We ordered a little bit of everything pho, bánh khọt, nem nướng, bún riêu, bánh xèo, đậu hũ, trứng chiên, and more. We shared everything, and I can honestly say it was all delicious! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in town!
We came to Yen Viet Kitchen on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy! That's usually a good sign for sure. I would have taken a photo of the inside but would have caught a bunch of people eating so couldn't. I will say it's compact inside, but clean, and a small business which we always root for. There were about 4 people working so there was a wait, nothing terrible though. We wanted to try their Bánh cuôn or bánh uot but they were out. So instead we went with pho, nem Nuong cuon, egg rolls and banh bot chien. All dishes were good, even the pho however, the wife's mother makes the best pho and to state this is also decent would be a sin and God would punish me. Great place, but out of the two primary dishes we were after so may upgrade them another time!
On a recent Vegas trip I went to this restaurant twice which is a no no for me. Located on Decatur but close to the spring mountain main strip is Yen Viet a small restaurant with some parking outside. The wk I went they had just won awards so they were super busy with tourists and local Vietnamese groups trying to see if hype is real I really wanted the banh cuon steamed rice rolls and mi quang noodles but both were sold out by 4PM on a Saturday. I settled for the Bun Bo Hue which is my fav dish of all Time and the bot chien fried rice roll. Was it the best bun no hue I ever had? No but it's a hard to make dish and it was excellent. Rice in flavor. Wish there were larger protein portions. The bot chien I never had. Something different but gd esp if you love rice cakes. The staff was overwhelmed by the new success. Orders were being messed up. My sprouts came out after my noodles. Next visit I came on Mon at 11AM with the goal Of getting the banh coun rice rolls and mi quang. No mi quang but successful banh coun getting that. I also got the bun rieu tomato crab noodles. Rich broth. Ok noodles but broth was so good. Banh coun is delicious and know why it's a hit.
Service is good and food came out really fast. I ordered banh xeo and all other places take forever to cook it and it came out quickly. Food tastes really good (like good home cooking). Place is clean and bright. Banh xeo - crepe was on the thin side but filling was excellent. I don't like overly thick crepe either but this was slightly too thin. Bot chien - I've never seen this dish at restaurants. My husband calls it peasant food because it's usually cooked at home. It was so crispy and delicious. Best dish. Banh Canh - soup was made well.
Going to keep this short and sweet... Great nice quick service Clean seating area Authentic taste and flavors, very fresh side veggies Reasonably priced for large portions Ample parking 0 issues Bonus...played my traditional Vietnamese music, felt like home.
I saw they made Michelin bib gourmand and I love Vietnamese food so I HAD to try. And man it did not disappoint!! Starting off, their water is ICE COLD. Sounds like a small detail, but especially in the quaint Asian spots, you don't often have ice cold water, but it was super icey here, and they kept it coming! As for the food...I feel like the food tasted like it was homemade! The spring rolls were good, and the meat wasn't dry. The bot chien was some of the best I've had because they cut the slices thicker and you get more of the crunch in between the tapioca (I think that's what it is?) but I came in feeling soupy and I love that the menu here offers so much more than the standard pho and BBH. I love those dishes, btw, but I didn't get them here. We ordered the banh canh, and while it was good, it was a bit thicker and gloopier than I was in the mood for. But the mi quang was easily my favorite. Excellent flavor, lots of toppings, it was a hit! If I had to complain, it would be that the sauce for the spring rolls is hoisin based, and I prefer peanut butter mixed in with the hoisin. And they need bigger tables to fit all the yummy dishes! We really loved everything here, and would def come back!
Small shop. Waitresses are nice, especially our waitress. She was really sweet. When we arrived, there weren't any tables available and the workers looked stressed from the lunch rush. We finally got seated and ordered our food, but I think because they were overworked, our order got mixed up. The kitchen failed to tell the staff they were out of pho Instead of checking with us first, they just brought out a tiny bowl of pho tai, which confused us because we ordered 1 phở tái with extra noodles and 3 small bowls to split between the kids. When we asked about the portion, they said they had run out of pho and this was all that was left. The kids were starving, so we tried to be understanding and split it, but it barely fed them. What was even crazier was they still tried to charge us $10 for that tiny leftover portion from whatever was left in the pot. Other than that, BBH was 3.5/5. Portion was good and the flavor was decent. Mì Quảng was 4/5. If you're looking for good Mì Quảng and decent BBH, give this spot a chance. Just make sure they have enough portions for your party, or you might end up getting the leftovers too. would we return? Maybe if we crave Mi quang. My boyfriend said it was really good. 2.5/5 for the overall experience. Honestly, was gonna give 2 stars but ill make it 3 because of our waitress. she was clearly overworked but still remained sweet and did her best under the stress.
If you're looking to try different Vietnamese dishes, come to Yen Viet and you won't be disappointed! I tried the bun bo hue, banh canh, banh bot chien, and nem nuong spring rolls and everything was delicious. The soups were flavorful, the rice cakes in the banh bot chien were crispy, and the nem nuong rolls were fresh. This place literally felt like you were dining in someone's home, so comforting.
Came here to satisfy our Bun Rieu and Banh Canh cravings and it hit the spot. Service was prompt. If you're in the area i'd recommend
Was looking for a new Vietnamese place to eat this time in Vegas. To my surprise the food was very good. We tried the tapioca noodles , banh cuon, n nuong. Grill pork roll . It's legit Vietnamese tastes. This is going to be my new place to go now. Clean and. cute place , the services is very good. Tending to your needs.
After moving to Las Vegas from the San Gabriel Valley--arguably one of the best places for authentic Asian food--I've definitely been on the hunt for spots that can live up to that standard. Yen Viet Kitchen is one of those rare finds. My wife specifically wanted to come here to try the bánh canh cua, and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and comforting, with that signature seafood depth you expect from a well-made bowl. I ordered the bánh cuốn and nem cuốn, and both were excellent. The bánh cuốn had that delicate, silky texture with flavorful filling, and the nem cuốn were fresh, clean, and well-balanced--exactly what you'd hope for. What I really appreciate about this place is how authentic the food feels. It's not overly modernized or watered down--it tastes like the kind of dishes you'd find at a traditional Vietnamese spot rather than something trendy or fusion-focused. If you're someone who knows good Vietnamese food, this spot is definitely worth checking out. It's always a great feeling to find a place in Vegas that delivers that level of authenticity.

Excellent non-pho Vietnamese food!!! A hidden gem!!! Sometimes I am tired of pho but I still want to eat Vietnamese food!!! Excellent service!!!! The place is small and clean!!! Highly recommend this place if you want something else besides a pho!!!
This was my first time going here. I went with a friend who loves Viet food and this was her fav spot in town. Being half Viet it was high on my list to try especially since getting Michelin recognized. The space is very small, I believe it's 50 person max capacity. It's a family run restaurant. They accept reservations now I saw either they yelp or a waiting list you write your name on when you arrive. The food came out quickly and it was all fresh to order. This place only has one pho option but other soups and noodle bowl options and a good variety of authentic appetizers to choose from. We got two Vietnamese Iced Coffees, a bowl of pho, banh cuon, and pork patty rolls for around $50. I thought the food was very good. Once you're done eating you pay at the counter so don't expect a server to check you out. Would definitely come back and try more of their dishes! read more

YEN's banh canh is delicious! The viscosity of the soup and the flavorful seafood taste mixed with pieces of crab won our taste buds. I was surprised by how much meat was in the pho, which helped me stay satiated for a while. The slices of beef in their shrimp spring rolls were also a nice addition. The interior has a decent amount of tables with ample walking space in between. The staff have been friendly and attentive. Been here a couple of times and will definitely be back for more! read more

It was my first time here what I really liked was they had a small menu one page front and back. We walked in my first impression was that it was the first noodle place that wasn't so loud, compared to the other Vietnamese restaurants I tried. They had nice colored tiles and wall decor that matched. They had a men and women separated restrooms which was kept cleaned. For appetizers We ordered their egg rolls. It wasn't as meaty as the ones Ive had at other Vietnamese restaurants. I wish' they gave more than 2 pieces of lettuce. Sauce was the same your ordinary fish sauce with sugar mixture. I had their bon bo hue tasted like the norm. I wish they boiled their tendon longer because it wasn't chewable at all. Their banh canh was also okay I noticed their soup portions were smaller than the normal as well. read more
My son recommended this place which he has on his to try list. I saw this place has high ratings. Also, we ran into the famous restaurant owner of Lotus; I figured it must be good here. Banh Canh noodle soup was a new dish for me, thick tapioca noodles like udon. Soup was great tub. Banh Knot was crunchy and tender with perfect shrimp. Spring roll was fine, the sauce has lots of roasted peanuts and garlic chips, so good. read more
My husband and I were craving pho and decided to try this place out. It's in a little area right after the S Decatur and spring mountain intersection. We both ordered their steak and meatball pho. Although I was whopping they had more pho options. It was some good tasting pho. The egg rolls were great. The passion fruit drink was a great mix. The coconut water was good, but the coconut meat tasted old. Other than that, the overall experience was good. Staff were pretty attentive. The ambiance was nice and cozy. read more
Yen Viet Kitchen - My New Favorite Vietnamese Spot This little hole-in-the-wall has quickly become my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town. The food here is some of the most authentic I've had--made by Vietnamese cooks who clearly know what they're doing. Service is quick, but that's partly because the restaurant is usually on the quieter side. My top picks are the Bánh Canh and Bột Chiên. The bột chiên is perfectly crunchy with a light, balanced sauce--not overwhelming like many versions I've tried elsewhere. The bánh canh broth is thick, flavorful, and loaded with crab meat, easily outshining what you'd find at most pho places. The shop itself is small with a very typical Vietnamese-restaurant vibe. I even brought my mom here, and she loved her dishes too--which says a lot. One thing I'd skip: the Bún Bò Huế. It just doesn't live up to the rest of the menu. read more
Authentic Vietnamese food with fast service in a small but clean space. Yen Viet Kitchen is in a small strip mall in Chinatown; not too far from strip hotels. This was our third time and I would say the food is satisfying and comforting. We ordered banh uot, bun rieu, chao long, and noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. Portions are not humongous but they are adequate for the price point. Give this place a try. read more

Came here specifically for the banh canh. Overall, it was okay. Nothing really stood out, but the food was solid, service was good, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm not sure if I'd personally come back, but it's a place I'd recommend others try if they're curious. I finally got to try this place out! I always see it but never got the chance to check it out till now. I came here to try out my all time fave Vietnamese dish banh cuon. (Didn't get a photo of it unfortunately only the banh xeo bc I demolished it quickly lol) To start off, the service was ok. Server was nice but she seemed to be occupied (it wasn't busy) with other things, was barely there, and took our orders wrong. We ordered banh xeo as our appetizer first then banh cuon for me but she immediately walked away quickly without letting my friend order their food so they had walk up to her at the register to tell her. When our food arrived, they gave us 2 banh cuon, no banh xeo, and my friend's soup. Which we only ordered one banh cuon, one banh xeo, and the soup. But thankfully she fixed our orders when I let her know it was one banh cuon and banh xeo not 2. Reviewing the food part, it was very good. My banh cuon came first before the banh xeo and I ate it up so fast lol. What I really liked was their chili oil or paste or sauce? Whichever it was hahaha but it was hotttttttt. So I definitely recommend to not use too much of it bc the heat kicks in but it was so gooddddd. Overall, this is such a good spot I'm glad I got to try it out. I'll definitely be back here and hope the service would be a bit better the next time I go. Check this place out if you're looking for banh cuon since not many places in Vegas have them! read more

My favorite food is Banh cuon, I grew up with my grandmother making it for me all the time. So i have high expectations. For my birthday I asked my husband to take me here for breakfast so I could try their fresh made banh cuon. It was very good! The sauce it was served with was a little saltier than i expected but the side veggies and meats were a nice touch and you get a big portion! The service was very nice and everything we ordered came out very quick. My husband got the pho and he enjoyed it as well. read more

Legit joint - you know is good when only viet ppl are there and they speak vietnamese to you when serving you Pho - tastes home made, not overly MSG'd or 5-spice powdered, fresh veggies Bun nem nuong cha gio - nem nuong was garlicky and tasty - cha gio was fragrant and had plenty of wood ear mushroom in it - noodles were pretty good and didn't taste like the plastic packaging , and felt freshly boiled Lotus salad - crunchy, refreshing, a crowd pleaser Had to keep it vanilla in terms of ordering as my dad is a picky Chinese Cambodian guy and my 2 year old toddler had requested noodles. I would love to come back for the banh cahn, bahn khot, bahn xeo and mi quang one day to see how it compares to so cal Service was friendly Atmosphere was clean and homey and family friendly Though I live in the bay and go to socal often, I'd return here if I was in the area definitely and bring my non picky or vietnamese family members with me! read more

No wait and fast service on a Saturday around 10am. Mi quang tasted authentic but was given Thai basil instead of mint. Banh khot portion was big but not enough lettuce given and again was given Thai basil instead of mint. Had to ask for extra lettuce and for mint. Mostly Vietnamese diners so the food must be good and it was. Just small things could be improved. I wish the mi quang had some slices of fancy pork and pieces of pork hocks but I get that everyone makes mi quang differently. The mi quang here is also more soupy. read more
Quality/Quantity - Some of the reviews say the food here is not authentic, but we felt like it was. Not that we were experts. Today we got the following: Banh Cuon, Steamed Rice Roll - My daughter's dish and my favorite. Maybe because I am familiar with it...? Bun Rieu - Tomato Crab Noodle; both my wife and daughter felt this was the best dish. Banh Canh, Tapioca Seafood Noodle - Nothing I expected. Almost a gravy (tapioca) sauce/soup. I wish I was able to take this home and add more noodles to make a second dish! Overall it was good, but nothing our family was accustomed to. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Plenty of mall parking. Open 6 days a week from 10am to 9pm; closed Tuesdays. Service - Good, I believe the owner served us. Price - $53 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since February of 2021. When hosting our Vietnamese friends, we will be sure to come back. read more
