This review is specifically for the Bo kho....I'm Vietnamese, so I can vouch when I say the Bo kho was delicious and super tasty; best I've probably have had at any restaurant. It was still piping hot when I got it. The broth was not too sweet or salty. I appreciate that they filtered out all the tiny lemongrass pieces from the broth so I wasn't stuck chewing them. That kind of stuff makes a huge difference to me lol. The bread that came with it was fresh as well. Lots of meat, which was tender and a good amount of carrots, that also came with basil, salt/pepper, and lime on the side. Restaurant located upstairs in retail strip mall in Chinatown. Clean and has plenty of seating and is great for big parties. Staff is friendly and service is attentive. Menu is good, offering beyond pho and vermicelli bowls, such as beef stew and bahn mi. Ordered the combo pho. It was delicious, and had a lot of meat. The broth was very savory and hit the spot even when the temperature outside was 95F. Tried the chicken wings and it was as if they knew I love flats!! The fried egg rolls were delicious! The tide may finally be turning for good Vietnamese food in Vegas. This new-ish restaurant, sometimes called VT Mania or Pho & More (or VT Mania Pho & More), has a very small Yelp presence and is perched unassumingly on the second floor of the Pacific Asian Plaza on Spring Mountain. That's the plaza which others may know more for being the home of the smaller SF Supermarket, or both Sushi Neko and its younger sister Neko Supremo. This spot is above Supremo, and ideally you'll wanna park in the small uphill parking lot that's the same height as the second floor. I was born into the Vietnamese diaspora and have experienced some of the best of what California has to offer. Since moving to the Vegas area over a decade ago, I've tried Vietnamese restaurants here. Very few have come close to approaching the variety or quality of what I know great Vietnamese food can be. But when I ordered the Pho Dac Biet ($17.00) here today, I was surprised to find myself enjoying it more and more with every slurp of broth and bite of the various proteins. A small squeeze of lime helped a lot even though the broth wasn't on the sweet side. The spice profile lingered even after I left the place. Most of the meats were great except for the rare steak tasting a bit bland. My main issues were the basil portion feeling a little stingy, the overall portion also feeling pricey (it's not a large bowl), and the flank steak not being cut into small enough pieces. Those hunks were way out of proportion compared to the quartered meatballs and everything else. I also noticed a happy hour special masquerading as lunch: two specific grilled pork entrees offered at a discount 2-6pm on weekdays. I took home a Banh Mi Thit Nuong ($3.99 special price) for dinner. The marinade is strong enough and sweet and there may be some very slight charring, which makes a huge difference in the rare cares I get it in one of these sandwiches. The other ingredients are fresh enough. It is a justifiable buy at regular price ($7.00), but is an unbeatable deal when discounted. Pho & More is a huge step in the right direction for a Vegas Viet food scene that is seemingly in perpetual failure to launch. This is the strongest recommendation I have to give for something that is not a real 5-star spot: please go and support them if you want the Vietnamese food scene to succeed here, get a good bowl of pho and/or a cheap weekday grilled pork dish, and maybe gasp at the actual durian in their fridge while you're at it. read more

Located on the second floor in a sea of eateries. We chose a place that was open at 3pm and had quick bites. We were sat quickly and looked over the menu They had really good lunch deals: grilled pork sandwich at I think was $4. Which is what my friend got, it looked good and he finished it all. We also ordered Spring rolls - decent but I've had better Banh khot - takes about 15 mins. Also not bad but I've had better. I have been to quite a few Vietnamese restaurants in Vegas now. This was prob one of the best so far. You can't go wrong with the Banh Hoi Thit Nuong here. Good portions and everything was flavorful. The Banh Hoi had flavor to it as well. You can actually taste the pandan in the green color Banh Hoi. I was surprised. Thit nuong was delicious. They do need to cut the pieces smaller. The carrots & daikons were a bit tough to chew. Bo Ne was pretty good. I like it that they included the pate. Most places now skip on it. It came with one banh mi. Right amount of sweetness to it. I don't like it when foods are too sweet. The strawberry smoothie was not that great. It was creamy. That was all I tasted. Not much strawberry taste. and not sweet enough. Service was slow. Mmmm ordered takeout from this place, a combination pho and a Ban Mhi sandwich and they were both so tasty! It is important to know that it's on the second floor so you'll have to go and find the spot going up the stairs on the sushi Neko 2 side. When I went inside, the place had plenty of seating and it seems to be more of order at the counter and sit down after you pay to get your food. VT Mania Pho & More is a fantastic mom-and-pop spot tucked away in the Pacific Asian Plaza in Chinatown Las Vegas. It's a little hard to find at first--located on the second floor above the plaza where SF Supermarket, Ninja Karaoke, and Sushi Neko are--but absolutely worth the extra minute of looking. Once you're inside, it's clear you've found one of those places locals keep to themselves. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet, Spring Rolls, and Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, and everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. The broth of the pho was especially good--rich, clean, and comforting without being overly salty. The grilled pork and egg rolls on the bun were cooked perfectly, and the spring rolls had that nice fresh crunch you hope for but don't always get. I was a little sad they didn't have banh khot or che ba mau that day, but what they did have was solid across the board. This is very much a family-run, mom-and-pop environment, so service isn't the polished chain-restaurant style; you occasionally have to flag someone down for attention. Personally, I didn't mind--everyone was friendly once you had their eye, and the food speaks for itself. It feels like you're eating in someone's kitchen, and that's part of the charm. Overall: 5/5. Hidden gem vibes, authentic food, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I'll definitely return and hope to catch those additional menu items next time. Had no idea this place was here! It's tucked away upstairs in the corner. Quaint inside, cute tiles on the kitchen wall. Plenty of seating but I have to say the booth seats were too high for the table height, it was awkward positioning to eat, but I prefer booths over tables and chairs so we stayed put where we were. Pho I'd give 6/10, grilled bbq pork 10/10, fish sauce lacked acidity but I asked for lime slices to adjust taste to my liking. It would be nice if they offered broken rice. Special Combination Bánh hỏi platter was tasty but messy, wished they served with rice paper to roll but I need up asking for a small empty bowl. Service was ok - they were nice and were attentive when there were a couple of other patrons there, but once it was empty, we had to wait a while to get the check and had to go back there to find staff to help. First time trying this place. It's a hole in the wall and hard to find if you don't know it but it's upstairs on the right corner. You can drive up the parking ramp. Anyways once you come in the staff is very attentive and nice. Cushion booths and tables inside with AC and relaxing music playing. Food was excellent and very tasty. Very glad we found this place. My 2nd time here. This time I tried the Bánh Mì Bò Kho, Vietnamese beef stew with bread. Fantastic. I dare say it's better than how I make this dish.
