Honey walnut shrimp and salt and pepper pork chops. There are little bones in some of the pork chops, but that's usually normal.

Went to China Mama in Shanghai Plaza on a Wednesday around 5:30 p.m. I have been to the one at Palace station and I feel the portions and the prices were better here. The one in Palace station definitely feels more upscale, but this one was still really nice. The decor and atmosphere were really nice with high ceilings, comfortable seating, and a window where you can watch into the kitchen, which added a cool touch. One thing to know is that reservations are only available ahead of time for groups of six or more. Luckily, it wasn't too busy when we arrived. We put our name on the list and were about fifth in line. The wait estimate said 12 minutes, but we were seated in closer to eight. We ordered the Mama's Special Fried Rice, stir-fried green beans, salt and pepper pork chops, and honey walnut shrimp. The green beans and walnut shrimp were definitely the highlights for me. Both were really flavorful and cooked well. The fried rice was good, just not anything especially memorable compared to the other dishes. The salt and pepper pork chops were decent, but I personally would've liked them a little crispier and a bit saltier. Service was good overall, and the atmosphere made it a really enjoyable dinner spot. Definitely a place I'd go back to try more dishes.

China Mama is my go-to spot whenever I am craving Chinese food in the Vegas area. While it is a primarily American Chinese restaurant, they have traditionally Chinese food choices that are sure to please all kinds of crowds. When I made a reservation for 10 people, they were accommodating to our group even when we were a few minutes late. It was a clean establishment and with excellent service. All the things we ordered were flavorful and I would order these dishes again. We did family style and ordered the following: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Mamas Special Fried Rice, Mama Mapo Tofu, Pork Joint Stewed With Rock Sugar, Beef Rolls, Crispy Pork with Mama Special Sauce, Salt and Pepper Fish, Green Beans and Soup Dumplings. Every time I am in Vegas, I always make it a point to go to China Mama. While some may say it's Americanized Chinese food, the food doesn't use too much oil and I'm sensitive to oily foods! Excellent service, flavorful food, and great spot for a group

The moment you walk into this place, you can see the workers making the soup dumplings from scratch. To me, it gives me authentic vibes. Love that this place has a huge selection of food. Did family style and ordered a few dishes. I ordered the cucumber salad, beef chow mein, beef rolls, soup dumplings, honey walnut shrimp, green beans and salted egg shrimp. We didn't have any leftovers, it was perfect for 5 people.

This was our first time visiting China Mama's. Parking was tough in this shopping center. Thankfully, we were greeted upon entrance. Restaurant was jam packed. We were a party of six with reservations. We were sat within 15 minutes of arriving. We ordered so many entrees. Our favorites were walnut shrimp, gyoza, orange chicken, crispy beef, and China Mama noodles. We all left soo full. But everything was absolutely delicious!!

I have been wanting to go to China Mama for so long. I finally made it and I was happy that all the recommendations were true. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. They were friendly and attentive. We ordered some appetizers. The pork soup dumplings. It was filled with a delicious broth. The pancake with scallions was simple but crispy and tasty. The wontons were a bit spicy but was so flavorful. The main dishes were absolutely amazing. The fried rice had mixed of delicious slices of meat. The crispy beef was my favorite. Wow, the flavors were so addictive. I wanted to eat it all. The crispy duck was also delicious. I cannot wait to come back and try more dishes.

Service was amazing throughout our dinner. The latge booths were comfortable and was able to accomodate 4 adults and 3 kids. We went for dinner and surprisingly had no issues finding parking or having to wait. They took us immediately. The food came out fresh and delicious.

Sesame Chicken & Cauliflower in a pot

Server greeted us as soon as we walked in and had us seated. The inside looks modern & classy. We ordered beef soup, crispy beef, chicken chow mien (soft), cauliflower on pot (no pork), sesame chicken, and of course steam rice. They used small pieces of slice beef instead of ground beef which was interesting. The aroma and taste of the cilantro in the soup was excellent! The cauliflower (no meat) was a unique dish and wife liked it. The sesame chicken was typical. The crispy beef was crispy, crunchy, and sweet to the taste. Just wished the beef cut would be bigger. They don't do crispy chow mien so we had to settle for the soft noodle instead, However, it was still good. Overall, good place for Chinese food and not as crowded as the one in Spring Mountain.

Mapo tofu

I thought this place was really good and had really good wok hei. The food was all really well quality and was super flavorful. Very crave-able items. Our favorite surprising was the crispy pork and mapo tofu was our second. The restaurant is super clean and set up with Chinese inspo decor but also spacious and modern seating. A great place to bring a date. Also the servers were perfect. Attentive to take plates away and refilled water and was not overwhelmingly there. Would definitely go back again if I'm back in the area.

China mama is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas!! It's been a while to visit... it was lunch time on weekday. So it was not busy. The interior/ wall paper was updated since they reopened. More brighter and fancy looking! The server was attentive and friendly. The Jasmin tea which is complementary, tastes very good and served very hot!!! That was pros of this visit!!! The food we ordered was *Big mouth roll(our favorite) With soy sauce and chilli sauce I like that better. *Crispy beef( first time) it tastes good but too salty for me... *Stir fried green beans (our favorite) It's good. But felt less crunchy than usual... maybe little bit overcooked. We Love China mama but Overall, Jasmin tea was the most great point of this visit...

The internet raves about this place as well as locals and I understand why. I knew from the first bite, it was going to be amazing. We ordered mama's chow mein, crispy beef and the Szechuan won tons. We skipped the wait and sat at the bar, the food came out hot and fresh within 10 mins. The crispy beef is perfect, best I've had. The chow mein was flavorful and the combo of shrimp, chicken and beef were all cooked perfectly. The won tons were good, not too spicy but not my favorite. China mama is it.

Pork soup dumplings

We came here because people said this was the best Chinese restaurant in Vegas. First and foremost, it's difficult to try all of the signature dishes especially in a group. Most of the dishes we got, I personally wouldn't have ordered them but I know Americans don't like breaking routine. With that said, when you come here make sure you get on the waitlist immediately. We ordered Chinese broccoli, pork soup dumpling, mapo tofu, fish fillet with ginger and green onions, Mongolian beef, crispy pork with mama special sauce, and crispy duck. The pork soup dumplings are decent but they're nothing compared to Din Tai Fung. I did enjoy the signature crispy pork with mama special sauce. I liked the texture and the flavor. Very savory sauce. The mapo tofu, fish fillet, Mongolian beef, and crispy duck were very average. It's about the same as back home, so nothing extraordinary. Prices are not bad because you do get a generous amount of food. Service was good, we were well taken care of. Overall 3 out of 5. Mostly average Chinese food with prices slightly more than usual.

dandan noodle
Mindy C.

The dan dan noodles have the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and nutty flavors, and the Fuqi Feipian is tender, numbing, and packed with bold spices - absolutely addictive. - The dan dan noodles feature a rich, sesame-chili sauce that coats every strand, while the Fuqi Feipian delivers complex Sichuan flavors with a perfect spicy-ma la kick. Highly recommended! My server ACE very professional.Jessica also very Nice! I will be back soon.

There was no real apology or urgency to fix the situation. The food itself was disappointing too. The bibimbap tasted low quality and lacked freshness, the fried chicken arrived soggy instead of crispy, and the rice cakes somehow came out after we had already paid. Everything felt disorganized and poorly managed. The vibe may attract people at first, but with service like this and food that doesn't match the prices, there's really no reason for me to come back.
