Wow! I can see why Ramen Boys was ranked #2 on Yelps list of best new ramen restaurants in the United States for 2024! Originally, some of my colleagues and I were going to go the Pho restaurant right next door, but when one of my colleagues saw Ramen Boys, he wanted to go here instead! This was one of my restaurants on my go to list that I hadn't had a chance to visit yet! I stopped in with some colleagues Wednesday evening around 6:30 P.M. It wasn't too busy inside. We ended up sitting at a booth table. Menus were provided as well as waters. There are a variety of different Ramens at Ramen Boys Signature Ramens: Truffle Shoyu RB Signature Ramen Spicy Mala Ramen Other Ramens include Tsukemen, Vegetarian, Chicken Base, and Pork base. There are different starter options you can choose from such as corn ribs, tako wasabi, gyoza, and even rice dishes like house fried rice or oxtail beef curry! I ended up getting the Yuzu Shio with no fish cake. I also had a chance to try out the edamame for an appetizer. There was plenty of salt on the edamame. The ramen bowl came out shortly afterwards, like within 5 minutes. This was my first time having the Yuzu Shio ramen and it was delicious! The chicken chasu was scrumptious and the broth was flavorful. I would order this again! The food was great here and the service was fantastic. See, this is why I Yelp. Last time I came here it was because I wanted to try a new ramen place. Because, you know, I always go to the same places, and I said damn it, not this time. This time I'm gonna roll with the new. I do a Yelp search for Best Ramen in Las Vegas and this place comes up number 1. I glance at the reviews and I see like practically every one of my friends has been here and left a postive review. So I stop by for lunch. I put in my order and while I'm waiting I take some photos of the room. I focused on the All We Need Is Ramen neon sign. It seemed like I had seen it somewhere before. I searched my photo library. I see the exact same neon sign. Yeah, I had totally forgotten I had been to Ramen Boys before. Because I never wrote a damn review. And I really should have written a review because the ramen here is good! Rich, deeply flavored broth. Noodles that totally take care of their business. Whole bowl tasty AF. The service is efficient and pleasantly effusive. The dining room is a little loud when it's full, but in my experience not at all noisy during off peak times. There's plenty of seating here. It's never busy when I'm here. I've been here for dinner once and the rest during lunch. I've ordered the RB signature and RB Miso. The broth have been too salty the last couple of times for both the RB signature and RB Miso. The pork pieces are super tender though. We came here for just the mango shaved ice late at night. We were seated quickly but it took a while for the shaved ice to arrive as they were making them in batches rather than per group. Several years later we returned to Ramen Boys and sadly found deterioration in a number of areas. First, they have absolutely no way to make a reservation or to get on a Yelp waitlist ahead of time. When we arrived on a Sunday evening there was no one at the reception desk and a lot of people waiting outside and in the very small waiting area inside. They do have a small waiting area inside, but most of it is crowded with crane game machines (one of which was broken) thus there is very little area to wait inside. We noticed a piece of paper on a clipboard near the entrance where you wrote your name, phone number, party size, etc. The staff then went to the list and moved down the names when a table opened it up. It was notably warm inside; I am not sure if their air conditioning is not working well or what. This was not fun on a very hot evening. We wound up waiting about 40 minutes for a table, and the staff seemed exceeding slow at cleaning tables when guests departed. We saw numerous tables and seats at the bar that sat untouched for long periods of time without being cleaned up. This led to longer waits for those wanting a table. We tried the chicken karage which was sadly just quite bad and markedly worse than we expected. The coating was greasy and oily and had no sake taste at all. The chicken was virtually unidentifiable; they seemed to be using dark meat scraps versus actual premium pieces of chicken. Very disappointing. They do have soft drinks (Pepsi products) with complimentary refills which is a big plus. The service was - OK - and pretty variable. The server who took our order had no smile and zero personality. Some of the other staff were much better. I had the the chicken shio ramen. Take a look at my posted photo of this dish from several years ago versus today. The portion of chicken they serve currently is unbelievably tiny and substantially less than in the past. It was literally the size of two fingers. On the plus side, the broth flavor was very good with a wonderful mix of savory and citrus. But the portion of chicken - yikes. It was like two bites. Super disappointing. We had two desserts. We tried the mango kakigori and the sweet potato brulee. The kakigori is great and is a generous portion. However, it seemed to include fewer pieces of actual fruit than we remember. The mango syrup is mixed throughout, however, so you do get a mango taste with just about every bite. The sweet potato brulee has a wonderful creamy texture and was really tasty! Came here after seeing this all over my IG. Started with the corn ribs. These were too sweet and made is so you could not taste the corn 4/10. Next was the chicken Karage. The flavor was pretty good and the portion was big, but I wish it was at least a little crispy/crunchy on the outside 6.3/10. I got the RB Signature ramen and I was quite happy with this. Wow 10/10 for late night ramen! Went in at 1am to feed a ramen craving and this place did not disappoint! The server was also so very friendly helping me make a choice in what to get. A place that is exactly as advertised. Ramen on the menu. And several cool, young dudes (servers) sharing about their favorite ramen flavor profiles. My buddies and I arrived right when they opened, just minutes after 11am. And fortunate for us because even though it was a Wednesday by the time we left the restaurant was 2/3 full. The vibe was simple and open. One could easily see the kitchen and the other customers, but the booths gave each party a semi-private feeling. We started with a couple of appetizers. Corn ribs. Good flavor, but a bit overhyped. And the gyoza was typical. Nothing earth shaking. But when it comes to ramen, they have a variety of flavors to choose from. I enjoyed the signature which tasted decent. The temperature was not very hot. It was warm+. Fot, our server was attentive and helpful, and Carrie's a star by himself. Over a good experience for a quick lunch with the boys. Or even some food with the kiddos. Not date night with the wife. This place does not disappoint, the appetizers and food is very tasty and well cooked. The service here is good not very long wait times and food comes out fast. We got the Tori kawa chips (chicken skin deep fried) and corn ribs and also the gyoza. These were all great choices. The main course was miso ramen and classic tonkatsu. The broth was very rich and thick just the way that I like it. The miso comes with thick noodles wow it was so good and chewy. The classic came with thin noodles also good but I prefer the thick. At first glance, the menu seems more creative than a traditional ramen shop. Everything sounded delicious, but my husband and I decided to get both of their signature ramens. RB Signature Ramen: Contains chashu pork, a soy cured egg, spinach, green onion, and nori. This broth is unique because it uses a blended pork and chicken tonkotsu broth. It has a strong umami flavor and a slightly creamy texture. It tastes very savory, but not in an overwhelming way. The thick, chewy noodles complemented the broth flavor perfectly. Truffle Shoyu: Contains chashu pork, shredded green onion, bamboo shoots, shiso leaf, and truffle. This is basically a classic shoyu ramen with a gourmet twist. We stopped by after dinner for shaved ice because this place has been heavily recommended by Instagram influencers, so maybe my expectations were a little too high. I do wish they had mentioned how huge the portions were, though. We each ordered our own, and one serving would have easily been enough to share. The shaved ice was good and refreshing, but I didn't think it was worth the price. After tip, we spent about $80 for three shaved ice desserts, which felt a bit steep. My wife and I found this local ramen spot in Vegas and we visited right at their opening hours on Saturday and to our surprise, there were already plenty of people dining in and even more that arrived as we were eating, just shows you how popular this local spot is. Staff here is great, they're friendly and quick. Parking here is free in a large shared lot which is great. Inside is pretty clean, and has a pretty chill vibe as the interior is a bit dimmed. Love the colorful and RGB decorations on the wall as well. Pretty cool that they have merch too. My wife and I enjoyed a nice bowl of Truffle Shoyu and their RB Signature Ramen. From their menu, they have plenty of starter dishes such as gyoza, tempura, etc, pretty standard from any ramen shops. They also have rice dishes, vegetarian options, and adding toppings cost extra as well. -- Truffle Shoyu -- ($18) Amazing ramen dish, the mushroom dashi surprised me as I've never seen mushrooms in ramen like this before. Give the truffle a good mix with the bamboo shoots and it becomes a whole bowl of flavor. Noodles were easy to chew and very flavorful. Broth itself is strong but not too salty. Highly recommend if you like mushroom based ramen. (9/10) -- RB Signature Ramen -- ($16) A great dish for first time visitors. You can't really go wrong with their signature dish, comes with chasu pork, eggs, spinach, onions, nori, all mixed with chicken broth was the perfect combination. The noodles mixed with the broth created a very flavorful bite. Pretty addicting overall. Broth is great, not too salty as well and not as strong as the Truffle Shoyu. Didn't really have much high expectations for a local ramen shop but my wife and I left the restaurant pretty happy about the experience as a whole. I saw an ad appear on IG and so I checked on Yelp to check the ratings. On IG, it says this is one of the BEST RAMEN PLACES in America so I was eager to try and see how good it was. BASIL RAMEN: 10/10 I loved everything about it! The uniqueness of the GREEN COLOR BROTH was so intriguing. The taste and flavor of the broth was just right. I usually like to add a little bit of vinegar to make it taste like Kim chi ramen. The texture of the noodles was great too... CORN RIBS: 7/10 I could not eat this item. It was stuck on the cob quite strongly and the corn was too chewy. I prefer street corn style off the cob like ELOTE. So I gave it to my husband to devour it all. Mwahaha!!! He actually enjoyed it... HOKKAIDO MILK TEA: 9/10 It's actually one of my favorite tea and a bit challenging to find in the Inland Empire. My favorite one is at Jazzcat Cafe but, this one is pretty good too... Came here after the Ed Sheeran concert at the Sphere. I originally had my heart set on Din Tai Fung, but it had already closed by the time the concert ended. Since I was still craving Asian food, we decided to give Ramen Boys a try because they're open until 2 a.m. We ordered the gyoza, fried calamari, and the RB Signature Ramen. Overall, the food was good. The only issue was that the calamari was extremely salty. We mentioned it to our server, who immediately offered to make us a fresh order. He explained that it was probably the wasabi seasoning, so he served it on the side instead. That made a huge difference, and we really appreciated how quickly they fixed the issue. I've also ordered the Truffle Ramen for takeout before, but after trying the RB Signature Ramen, I think I actually prefer the signature. It had a richer, more balanced flavor. The two kakigori desserts also looked amazing, but I was so full that I didn't have room to try them. They're definitely on my list for next time! The restaurant itself is small and nothing fancy, but it's a great spot when you're looking for a satisfying late-night meal. Anticipated on eating here again my last visit to Vegas for Father's Day weekend but unfortunately that didn't happen. I get that there's a long wait and signing in, but why are the servers/bussers taking forever to clean multiple tables when there's people waiting and why do they feel they have to prioritize to-go orders before seating people? They could easily clean tables, seat customers, and have them wait while looking over menus and then tending to the to-go orders. There were 5-6 EMPTY tables and people waiting to be seated but they took their time walking around, conversing with other employees, then packaging to-go orders instead of seating people. We stopped by just for the shaved ice, hoping it would be similar to the old spot in Chinatown that served that light, fluffy "snow" ice. Turns out, kakigori is traditional Japanese shaved ice--more like shaved ice blocks with flavored syrup. That's on us for not knowing the difference. What isn't on us is paying over $20 for it. The portion and quality just didn't come close to justifying the price, especially after waiting about 25 minutes for a single dessert. While we were waiting, I asked another customer how the ramen was because we were considering coming back to try it. Her response was, "It's pretty decent," which wasn't exactly a glowing endorsement. To top it off, parking in this plaza is a nightmare. There are simply too many businesses competing for too few parking spaces. We stopped by around 8:30 pm on a Sunday night (Labor Day weekend) and it was busy. There was a party of 2 before us and there were no small tables available. They agreed to sit at a 6 top and possibly have to share the table w/another party. After they were seated our host/server asked if we minded sharing the table which we gladly did. The ramen and the curry were delicious. The ramen broth was very robust and full of flavor. My oxtail curry was a medium hot Japanese style curry with tender oxtail meat and pink picked radish (I could eat a whole bowl of that radish!). The chicken skins were like thin crispy potato chips. Loved them! I love yakiimo so I was very pleased with the Japanese Sweet Potato Brûlée. It was pieces of roasted Japanese sweet potato with vanilla ice cream and black sesame seeds. The service was great. We didn't have to ask for anything. I got a refill on my green tea and we were kept in the loop about the progress of our order. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ramen Boys after church, and I can say it was definitely a good experience! We were a group of four, and it was all our first time trying this place. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly right from the start. The menu offered a variety of ramen options, and I of course went with the spicy ramen! We also ordered appetizers like the kimchi, edamame, and corn ribs. The flavors were rich and satisfying definitely a treat for the taste buds! We also enjoyed some delightful Japanese Shaved Ice for dessert, which truly was the best part! We went with the mango flavor. The only thing I would say is that the cost was higher than other ramen spots I have visited, so for 4 we spent about $200. Ramen Boys was one of the highlights of our Las Vegas trip! The restaurant had a modern, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. We started with the corn ribs, which had just the right amount of seasoning, and takoyaki. For our entrées, we ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu, Classic Tonkotsu, and the Oxtail Curry. I had the spicy tonkotsu which had just the right level of heat without overpowering the rich pork broth, added bean sprouts and an egg. For drinks, we tried the strawberry soda and melon soda with vanilla ice cream, and they were both refreshing, fun, and the perfect complement to the meal. The melon soda with ice cream tasted like a Baja blast from Taco Bell.  To finish, we shared the strawberry shaved ice for dessert. It was light, fluffy, refreshing, and generously topped with fresh strawberries, making it the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, every dish we ordered was delicious, the portions were satisfying, and the quality of the food really stood out. The ramen had really solid depth of flavor -- rich, savory, and actually tasted like it had been simmering for hours. Got their RB signature - it taste like any other authentic tonkatsu-style ramen but in small portions - as if we are in Japan - but we are not - the portions should be bigger for the price. If I thought that was small, then their chicken ramen, well, that was an insult. Just 3 pieces of thinly sliced chicken. I know we're in an inflationary period so there's rampant shrinkflation and then there's just being cheap - the price difference between chicken and pork is huge. Wow. This ramen spot is the real deal. You can taste the effort that was put into making the broth. Full of flavor. Ramen Boys is located in a shopping center and the inside is a bit small so try to avoid peak hours or you will have a wait. Our server was nice but one thing I didn't understand or like was they do not allow you to switch proteins. I originally wanted the spicy mala ramen but I do not eat pork so I wanted to switch it to chicken. I was told no unless I paid for the extra protein. I tried to explain that I don't want extra just to simply change the protein option. Ultimately, I changed my order and added the mala paste to my ramen. The food was delicious. I mean mouthwatering. My soy cured egg was overcooked which was disappointing as I love a soft boiled egg in my ramen. The calamari was overcooked as well and tasted like they needed to change their oil. Came in for a late dinner. We were a party of 4. My friend had suggested we try the Japanese sweet potato dessert but after seeing all the goodies in their menu, I opted for a bowl of ramen too. The ramen was uber delicious. The sweet potato was even better, soft with crunchy skin paired perfectly with a scoop of cold and creamy vanilla ice cream. The interior is well decorated with Japanese arts and comics. Even their bathrooms are filled with cute humorous art (a cat portrait of "are you pooping" was my fav). Love ramen boys!! The ambiance is so cool and the place is such a vibe for catching up with friends or just having a chill dinner. I went with some friends Thursday night around 6 and was seated immediately - but the place definitely was close to full! The service was so so good and that has been my experience every time while at Ramen Boys. I got the Truffle Shoyu - it was delicious!
