I was looking for a lunch spot for the fam after visiting Red Rock and landed here since it was along the way. We didn't really look into it, but saw that they had udon which my son loves. Everything was delicious and freshly made. I kept telling my husband, "This place is legit!" From the Japanese chefs and kind waitress, to the music, and, of course, the food. The ohitashi was a nice start with just the right amount of dashi to bring out the flavors of the veggies. I had the kimchi udon hot pot which comes with pork. I thought it was going to be slices of pork, but it was actually chashu that you would find in ramen! The chashu was tender and the broth was amazing. When I say amazing, it wasn't overly salty where it makes you feel bloated afterwards. My husband enjoyed his salmon avocado poke bowl as well. This was my second time around and we went in as a big group of nine (seven adults and two kids). We were seated in the main dining area and high chair was already placed for us at the end of the table. Our waitress and waiter were both very nice. Service is great here. I have no complaints regarding that! I started by ordering their Hot Tea Pot in the Genmaicha Tea, which is refillable ($3). The tea was good. I must've had it refilled about three times. The husband got the Asahi draft. For the food orders, we started with the cholegi salad, takoyaki, and chicken karaage. While the cholegi salad was good, I'd have to say I've had better chicken karaage elsewhere. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to skip the chicken karaage next time. It was lacking in flavor so I asked for table salt to sprinkle on top of it. For the main dish, our party ordered beef sukiyaki udon, tendon, tuna and avocado poke don, nabeyaki udon, and kake udon. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. For dessert, we got everything that was on the menu so that we could sample them. I particularly enjoyed their matcha pudding in that it was more than what the picture showed. There were layers of azuki beans and black sugar syrup underneath the green pudding. This one was my favorite! The sweet potato ice cream was the party's favorite. Overall, I really like the vibe of this restaurant. Dope place for some casual ramen! We got takeout at this place the first time we were here for the Backstreet Boys concert, and decided to dine in this time (yes we saw the concert twice lol!) We arrived just before the lunch rush, maybe around 11:30a? They had a bunch of pre-made rice musubis/onigiris at the front as well, which were tasty but quite pricey - around $5 a piece. I ordered the tan tan udon noodle, and it was very satisfying! Even after taking half of it to go and leaving it out in the hotel for a few hours, it was still good. I saw this place had high ratings and wasn't too far from the strip. Upon entering, you are either sat at a table or a bar. They give you a wet towel to your clean your hands as well (love it when restaurants do this). There's plenty of udon bowls to choose from. I ordered the baked cheese curry udon because I love cheese and udon, so it sounded very appealing to me. When served my bowl, I wasn't sure what I was exactly expecting, but wow, it's a lot of cheese! I also really like broccoli so that's a plus. Unfortunately, I actually hated this, and ended up not really eating much. The curry was not seasoned well and was bland. This with the cheese, broccoli and udon noodles was just not a good combination. I regret not ordering from the recommended on Yelp. My boyfriend got a beef sukiyaki, and his bowl was definitely a lot better than what I had. However, he agreed that the sukiyaki broth was a bit bland, too. The beef was tender and tasted good, though! I wish I liked it because I love udon! I don't see myself returning. My family and I have dined here several times and it never disappoints. We love the food here -- the udon noods are perfectly al dente, and honestly, you cannot go wrong with any bowl you choose. We got a couple of items to share such as the tuna poke, which was good but definitely not worth $14 . Beef Bowl was good, nice flavor, but not a ton of meat, so the rice ratio was off. The shrimp tempua udon was the most popular and it was good. Still lacked a lot of flavor though. Finally we tried a fusion item which was the Miso Carbonara Udon, the carbonara was lacking a ton of flavor- and was extremely slimey. Unfortunately this was a big miss. This place is so good! Omg I can't believe we hadn't been sooner!! My top dishes were the jalapeño yellowtail and the takoyaki. They're full of flavor and so fresh. My husband and I also really liked our udon noodle bowls. He got the beef one and I got the shrimp tempura. My only suggestion is that I wish the shrimp tempura would be brought on the side as it gets soggy really quickly and I like the crunchiness of tempura. Other than that, they so delicious and big portions so you can probably share these. I would skip out on the salmon poke bowl. This one lacked flavor. One of my favorite parts about this restaurant is that they have the sauces and condiments readily available! You can add as much or as little as you'd like. This place is the spot for comfort food, and delicious authentic udon. Perfect for the cold weather. Wonderful service, the restaurant has a good amount of seats kinda reminds me of when I was in Japan. Food was delicious I ordered the Mentai Butter Udon, and my friend got the hot pot udon. This was a fun Japanese dining experience at sort of a "hole in the wall" place. It's quite small and a bit cramped inside, but the servers were quite friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the blueberry sparkling sake presented cutely in a bucket with ice and your choice of assorted sake glasses. We tried the gyoza and mixed tempura. The gyoza tasted homemade and had a light yet crispy shell with a flavorful filling. The tempura was ok - the coating was a tad oily and heavy, and the shrimp didn't taste too fresh. Not bad overall, though! For my entree I had the beef bowl. The beef was tender and flavorful. It was a bit heavy on the green onions, and the portion was a bit smaller than expected. The fried tofu has a nice crisp that complements the natural texture of the tofu and the sauce added a nice tang of flavor to it. The pork gyoza was steamed and lightly grilled. the only minor issue was the flavor of the pork. Just a slight touch of seasoning would help it. but it was still good. the service was amazing. very courteous and the host gifted our daughter with a plush toy because she was crying on the way in. very soft atmosphere that makes quiet dining effortless. they played a very gentle contemporary instrumental music from the orients. Looks fairly small but it actually is a pretty large Resturant. Service was phenomenal, and the food was beautifully constructed and the flavors are just amazing. This is hands down our favorite Udon spot in Las Vegas. Ordered several things from the menu started off with appetizers. Chicken Kara-age was 1lb of delicious crispy chicken the only thing was the side of sauce was $2 and honestly I over skipped that on the menu so when the server asked if we wanted sauce and recommended the tar tar sauce I said yeah sure but we didn't even use the sauce because the chicken alone stand out so that was a waste of $2 unfortunately. Takoyaki $7.80 for 6 pretty large Octopus balls. They were so fresh and hot that they melted in your mouth the flavors and the Octopus piece in the middle was so good. Best we have yet in town. We make sure if this item is on the menu we are ordering. This is a must when you dine here. My daughter likes Natto but didn't want the entree dish so I had asked if there was a way to enjoy it as a side and they delivered it in a bowl it was great that they were able to do that for her without having to order the whole dish. Baked Cheese Curry Udon Regular size $13.8 Udon, curry, chicken, broccoli, cheese. It was delicious cheesy, meaty, and packed with flavor. Awesome choice! Shrimp Tempura Udon Regular size $12.8 L rage $17.8 (Udon, green onions, wakame, shrimp tempura, kamaboko, and dashi.) This came out first and my little one ordered this dish she was excited to see that the fish cake was shaped like (Hello Kitty) it was a very cute touch. The only thing I would suggest on this entree is asking if the customer would like the shrimp tempura on the side or inside the soup. Reason is the shrimp tempura was soggy once my little one started to eat. She likes her shrimp crispy and was a little disappointed that she wasn't able to enjoy the tempura batter of the shrimp. So we know next time to ask for any tempura ingredients to be placed on the side. Kimchi Hot Pot Udon Regular size $14.8 large $20.8 (went with the regular size and it was a fairly large bowl perfect size for one person) the dish contained- Udon, kimchi, sliced shiitake mushrooms, tofu, pork, scallions, sesame seeds, chilli peppers, chives, miso, garlic, and ginger. If you're a Kimchi lover this is for you. Everything combined so well and to make everything else come together is the presentation. We eat with our eyes first and let me tell you each dish was absolutely appealing. The chef takes pride in delivering beautifully constructed plates and it shows from the first second the server reaches the table. As a chef myself I appreciate his talent! Outstanding!!! Finally we ordered the matcha pudding it was $6 and was very little, about a spoonful to taste between us three. Not shareable friendly and the price I felt was steep. The pudding was great though I know inflation is high but the price is just too high for what you get. Their menu has so many items to choose from and literally everything looks delicious I don't think you can go wrong with any item you choose from. I will be back soon and will be back soon after that because the service, cleanliness, food, presentation, flavors were all so great that our experience was 10/10. Oddles of noodles and much more at Oodle Noodle! Not too far away from the Vegas strip, and we were able to get a parking spot near the front around the time they opened. We got in (part of 4) and they seated us right away. The place did fill up rather quickly though, so we were glad we went the time we did. They specialize in udon noodle variations, and we tried the uni cream and the beef soup one. Both large sizes, which didn't cost too much more than the regular size, but had double the amount of food. Pretty good! The noodles had great texture and everything else around it was good as well. The uni cream noodle was mild-ish in uni flavor, but that is prob cause I love some good quality uni. There were tiny uni chunks in there as well. Not bad for the price point considering uni can be super expensive. What I loved most were most of the appetizers. My fave were the yellowtail - in some sauce, topped with jalapeño. Ah, so tasty and smooth! My other fave was the cod roe thing. Mentaiko or something. Such salty goodness and the texture of the lil eggs in there. Definitely not something I've seen at many places and it was my first time actually trying it in this form. Other appetizers we tried were the Takoyaki - always a good yummy option, and the salmon poke. Pretty solid, good, but not my fave there. Service was great, and the ambiance was nice as well. They also do onigiri here, and we got some to go to eat later that day (which was so helpful since I was stuck at the Vegas airport for hours due to flight delay and power outage that day).
