Terrible service!! Came here with my husband for our anniversary and took almost 2 hours for our omakase dinner. The food was just average. The owner sat at the table next to us talking to some people then got up and sat at the bar the rest of the time we were there. Poor management for sure. For over $200 and barely anyone in the restaurant, the service should have been better. Definitely not recommending this place.

Vegas is spoiled with late night Japanese eats, and this is among the best of them. Omakase Kyara Sake Bar is the latest incarnation of Kyara at this little spot at Jones and 215. I first visited it when it was Kyara Japanese Tapas, then had a nice little meal in their short stint as Ramen Kyara, and finally made time to see them in their current form. Well, sorta. Although a lot of people come for the omakase, I deliberately waited until 9pm for their late night izakaya menu (FYI, last seating 12:30am / last call 12:45am), where a la carte takes center stage but quality doesn't seem to decrease at all. The iced green tea (cheap but apparently omitted from the check) was a ubiquitous but pleasant refreshment, especially since their complimentary water is served at room temp. I also had a little of my friend's "Demon Slayer" ($14.75 small portion) hot sake, which was pretty standard flavor with some mild sweetness. My nigiri orders, all 1 piece per order, arrived first. King Salmon ($4.50) was a deeper orange but still very tender salmon. Kanpachi ($6.50) was as delicious as usual. Chu Toro ($6.25) and O Toro ($7.00) were both similarly fatty and awesome cuts of tuna, meaning the O Toro wasn't actually fat-forward. I enjoyed both pieces regardless. Age Dashi Mochi ($6.95) caught my eye from their Fresh Pound Mochi Special menu, and I quite liked it. It was viscous but very soft mochi and had enough breading to soak up the age dashi flavors and toppings, and the mochi had a little intrinsic flavor unlike the tofu which this recipe was inspired by. Kanpachi Jalapeno ($21.95) was my friend's sashimi order, and it was the only real miss. It wasn't unpalatable at all, but it was just really pricy and the fish flavor didn't quite hold up against the sauce. Skewers showed up next. The Pork Jowl ($4.75) was super tender and moderately fatty, and it took on the tare flavor nicely. I felt no need to pursue any pork belly orders after that. The Chicken Oyster ($4.25) was rich and just tender enough, and unlike at the popular Chinatown-area restaurant named for chicken, it was actually in stock here. I tried a little of the Onsen Tamago ($4.50) app, which they served cold with ikura, green onion, shredded nori, and sauce. The egg had perfectly silky egg white and runny yolk, and the additional toppings were harmonious together. Once I asked about it and learned that the Ama Ebi ($12.25) on the white board was a nigiri order leftover, I went for it. It was a larger shrimp than I usually see, and it came with the deep fried head. Both the body and head portions were great, and the thin lemon slices were a great complement when eaten whole with the head. My last order was a non-dessert of Wagyu Tsukune ($6.00). The interior was delightfully pink and tender, as if this were the perfect slider filling you never seem to be able to find. The beef was already delicious with the tare, and the unadorned onsen tamago was just gilding the lily. Go to Omakase Kyara for high-quality Japanese food. I'm sure the omakase courses are worth pursuing for a special occasion, but consider late night or perhaps the similar / equivalent a la carte as well, especially if you know what you want out of an izakaya type of menu.

Chef Winston and team keep getting better! The Omakase here is excellent, and you can't beat the $88 price tag. Melt in your mouth otoro, fresh uni, the list of Japanese white fish , and the king salmon are phenomenal. Looking forward to landing a tuna cutting seat soon! The chawanmushi is on my list of best bites in Vegas, and I eat a ton of bites. We had such am awesome time that we headed over to Winston's bar GastroPUB Nisei bar and grill when we finished. Look for that 5 star review next. If you haven't been, I'm sorry. Get in the know and go

This place is incredible. The vibe, service, and especially the food. Izakaya's are my favorite places to go and this is easily top 5 including the ones I visited in Japan. Order everything but encourage you to avoid all rolls and try new things. Everything I had was great. See pics.

Always great food and service! Team are always attentive and fun!! Thank you for always taking care of me!

Attended their Tuna event a couple months ago and it was by far one of my favorite dinner experiences! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was warm, and the service was on top of it. Some highlights outside of the actual course were taking a shot out of the tuna's head, watching the tuna get prepared, and Phil's special nigiri (costs extra)

first time trying kyara for me and my boyfriend's 6 year anniversary and it was amazing!!! :3 we got the ume omakase and i loved every single course. i personally dont like mushrooms (was in the seasonal vegetables and the chicken mushroom mushroom chawanmushi) but i enjoyed everything regardless :) i am usually a salmon person but i was blown away by the tuna, i especially enjoyed the akami tuna with truffle. also this was the BEST scallop and uni i've ever had! the basque cheesecake dessert was sooo good service was exceptional from the very beginning! i forgot to ask the names of the staff that took care of us but we were always checked up on and they even gave us some extra dessert that said "happy anniversary" :')

Worth every dollar$. This was an ultimate experience. Our reservation was the 1st of the evening. We got the best seats at the sushi bar. From selecting the sake cup, sake, selecting the omakase option to the finish... we can not say enough of how wonderful this experience was. We are not from the area. So I was hesitant to book a dinner at a restaurant outside of a big hotel. But this did not disappoint! They SHOULD be in one of the major hotels!

Toro, uni, caviar hand roll. Must get!!

My go to sushi spot! If you're looking for the freshest cuts of fish then this is where you should be going to. I usually get the same thing which is otoro, hand rolls, and the sashimi platter. You can tell that they pay close attention to their sashimi quality because it's always fresh. Love coming here for happy hour! Definitely sit at the bar for the full experience. Service is always great! The girls in the front are warm and inviting. If you're looking for fresh quality sushi then Kyara is your go to. Especially if you're trying to get away from the strip.

Thank you for the great service, Isaac! We did the Matsu Omakase. We came with a party of 6. Food was spaced out nicely. We were able to enjoy each course and it was fun to critique with each other at the table. The ambiance is chill and spacious with mellow music. Food was amazing! The experience was worth it. #2016Isabella

Overall, Omakase Kyara Sake Bar is a decent choice. If I could go back in time, I would have opted for their a la carte menu instead of the omakase menu. I personally cared more about the nigiri then their appetizers. The appetizers were alright, nothing special and definitely not worth the omakase price. A la carte in fact may be cheaper and more worth your money if you just want nigiri. After our omakase menu, we opted for extra nigiri from their a la carte menu and that took over 20 minutes. Towards the end, the service was really slow and we had to remind our server of our missing food.

I think this will be my new go to spot for good quality sushi! Fish is so fresh and portions are great. AND! They're like one of the only places that has NATTO! Service is great everything is great just go here

We came here a few weekends ago, but I still think about the experience we had! Omakase Kyara serves a quality omakase for a good price! The courses were thoughtfully prepared. We got seated in a booth, but there is bar seating around the chefs. The duality seems perfect to choose if you want something more quiet or more lively! Our serves were Lily, Kinasa, and Brandon, and they were all so kind, making sure we were taken care of and explaining the menu for each course! Thank you guys again for the experience!

I am extremely saddened to see how drastically they have changed their decor. What made firefly such a hot spot and so sexy were the flamenco dancer paintings and the darker interior. We waited 1.25 hours for one dish to come out and this was after me asking the server to bring even just one dish out. She told us the kitchen was backed up but gave no updates or something to help us with that wait. Further, albeit the server was being considerate of my allergy, she canceled a dish our party ordered because I was allergic to it without asking if we actually wanted to cancel it. The rest of our party could've eaten it so that was a mistake on her part albeit well-intentioned. Lastly, on top already mounting awkwardness and possible resentment, our grilled cheese was not melted so we asked for it to be re-done. One friend is vegetarian and this was her main dish than she didn't get to enjoy. When I asked if it could be pressed more, the server showed slight annoyance/confusion. The pacing of the meal was wildly slow. Our server told us twice that the kitchen was backed up but even so, 1.25 hours of waiting for one dish (even a cheese dish) is just bad time management. There was no offering to give free bread or anything to assuage the long wait which I feel is a missed opportunity in hospitality. Further, on our way out, no one said goodbye or thank you for coming which felt cold. The service was bad--period. That's not our fault; it's yours. It's a shame to write this but I'm doing so in hopes that the organization will improve. Not sure yet if I'd come back because of this experience.

You have people packed shoulder-to-shoulder in a small venue, charging $30 per person after clearly going over occupancy. It feels greedy, and it shows. Guests who paid for those tiny tables aren't even respected--people are still crowding and standing all around them. This is a lounge, not a nightclub. Stop treating it like one. Friendsgiving was the final straw: people sneaking in, getting way too rowdy, zero space to move, and overall just a miserable experience. They even had heaters blasting with over 100 bodies crammed together, making it uncomfortable and unsafe to get to the bathroom, the bar, or even the exit. Overall, Bel Aire is not the place you want to spend your time or money if they refuse to enforce occupancy rules or provide a comfortable space for guests to actually enjoy themselves. People go out to relax, drink, dance, and have a good time--not to be shoved into an overcrowded room so the business can maximize profit. At this point, Bel Aire is contributing to the exact problem Vegas nightlife is trying to move away from.

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.
