Spam and Tofo Onigiri
Matt V.

This place confuses me! The Okinawa-style Onigiri is too large for a snack, but not big enough for a meal. With that said, my son loved his Spam Musubi, and my tofu onigiri with its unique sauce held me over before my dinner later that day.

It was pretty clean and quiet inside. Service was good, the cashier was nice. Food was good, very fulfilling.

Easy to order.they got a kiosk to order from and choose whatever onigiri you want. Food was great! Price for it is so so but it's worth every bite.

I stopped by O. Onigiri, a small spot with just a few tables and chairs inside. The person who checked me out was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. That said, I've never had an onigiri I didn't like--until today. There was a sour flavor in the one I got that really threw me off. I'm not sure if it was from the filling or the rice, but it just didn't taste right to me. Maybe I ordered the wrong one, but it was disappointing given how much I usually enjoy onigiri. Overall, nice people and fast service, but unfortunately, the flavor missed the mark for me.

cute small place with 4 high tops with 2 seats and 1 rectangular table with 4 seat. Friendly service they have a lot of choices I wanted to the Unagi onigiri It was very decently sized and flavorful however it was kinda flimsy and the contents started to fall out the more you bite into it Overall I would recommend

Tucked into a bustling strip mall in Las Vegas's Chinatown, this little onigiri spot was such a pleasant surprise. The plaza itself is a treasure trove of fun finds; think Mini So, a paleta ice cream shop, a boba café, and even a manga store so it's easy to turn a quick meal stop into a mini adventure. The restaurant is small, with just a few tables, but it's clean, cozy, and efficient. You can place your order at the counter or use their self-service kiosk, which made the process quick and easy. I tried the spam and mackerel onigiri. It's definitely a unique combo I hadn't seen elsewhere. It was made fresh to order, so it came out hot and crisp, which really elevated the experience. So often onigiri is pre-made and chilled, but having it fresh made all the difference. While the mackerel was a bit too fishy for my personal taste, I still appreciated the bold flavor combo and the overall quality. It was the perfect snack-sized lunch, especially knowing I had a boba stop lined up next door for dessert. I'll definitely be back to try more of their onigiri. There's something really comforting about a fresh, handheld rice snack done well.

New packaging, Krabby is a must and the original one with avocado are great first time options.

Friendly service and delicious food! A little small to eat inside with a group but this food is perfect for on the go. Love the updated food packaging.

If you ever find yourself in the Shanghai Plaza I HIGHLY encourage you to checkout this spot!! It's one of my favorite places to get onigiris in NV I love the spin that they put on their onigiris here cause they do it Okinawan style. So instead of getting the typical triangle rice ball they fold it into what almost feels like a burger shape. It's great cause they pack so much food in it and it will definitely fill you up!! I always go with family and friends so we can try a little bit of everything on the menu. I got to say though the standouts I love to get is the Curry Chicken and Bulgolgi. HOWEVER, please be warned it can get a bit messy when inhaling (my bad I meant eating ) so always make sure to get napkins. The items here can range from about $7-$10 depending on what you're getting which I l think is fair especially if you're getting one of the meat heavier options. Last warning would be since it is located in Shanghai Plaza please keep parking in mind cause it can get a bit hectic, mostly during the evening/weekends. If you've made it this far into my review I sincerely hope you'll give this place a chance!! If you love onigiris, spam and eating with your hands you'll love this place!!

Spicy tuna with spam and egg. Ok

I love onigiri (I don't consider these onigiri but similar and I guess an easier term for most people). I really enjoyed the spam egg and spicy tuna. It was a bit messy to eat in the car. The spicy tuna was just mid, but spam and egg is always a hit. I ate every bite and thought it was delicious. My friend got the shrimp tempura sans egg and sans spam (‍) she's a picky eater but she loved it. I wish they had options without egg. She does not like egg. Or a build your own would be fun. And have the original onigiri (triangles) prepared. It seemed like a long wait for 4 items. The gyoza was ok. I would come again and try the tuna mayo! I wish the service was faster

Stopped by this place for a quick bite and it did not disappoint! The onigiris didn't have too much rice and there was a generous portion of protein as well. It did take a little while for our food to be ready, but we didn't mind waiting. The flavors are what you would expect it to be but nevertheless, it was still delicious!

Cute "writings of the people" well they put up every month.

I love this place! My friend and I frequent this place quite often. The food is very good and the service is always great. we usually get the avocado onigiri and it always tastes great!!! And I love the stickers they put by the front and the little wall with white butcher paper that they let people write on every month. Super super cute!

Tried this place for the first time tonight. I got the bulgogi onigiri and it was really good! The person that helped me at the counter was friendly and nice. It was empty when I first went in, but got busy after I ordered. They have a few tables inside. This is a really cute place and I enjoyed my onigiri.

Hi, are any of your menu items gluten free/can be made gluten free? Thanks!

Hi! The classic, tuna mayo and kimchi onigiris without sauce or seasonings are gluten free. 🙂

I love tempura. Is it possible to order tempura with maybe rice on the side?

Hi David, we don't have a dish for this but we can deconstruct a Shrimp Tempura onigiri and put it in a bowl for you. Up to you if you want to keep the other ingredients. Thanks so much for the question!

Is there any other wrapping option other than nori?

Hi Bob! At this time we do not have other wrapping options, but thanks for your question; we'll look for possible alternative options for the future.

Do they use rice flour for their batter?

We use AP flour for our batter. Thanks!

What's the history of "Okinawa style" onigiri? How tf did spam get to Okinawa. Is it really Okinawa style or is it just a spam taco.

Yes, it's "a thing." Feel free to Google it.

Does anyone know if they use milk or dairy in their batter for any of the fried stuff?

Hello. They do not use dairy or milk for the batter.

Somehow we stumbled into Izakaya Go, and let me tell you... this place is legit. First off, they have happy hour after 10 PM, which already makes it a win for late-night Vegas wanderers like us. Everything we ordered hit the spot. The tonkotsu ramen was comforting, rich, and flavorful. Exactly what you want after a long night out. The deep-fried shrimp and tuna were fried perfectly with a nice crisp texture. If it wasn't so late, I probably would've kept ordering more. But the real star? The Otoro (bluefin tuna belly) sashimi. Absolute must order. It literally melts in your mouth and had zero fishy smell, just pure buttery goodness. My wife isn't usually a sushi person, but she ended up loving it and ate way more than I expected. That alone should tell you something. If you're in Vegas and looking for a late-night Japanese spot that actually delivers, put Izakaya Go in your Yelp bookmarks. Your future late-night self will thank you.

We came with the objective as trying as many foods as possible. Karaage, takoyaki, pork belly, Hot pot, sashimi, nigiri, Yakitori, a ton of skewers, and more. I'm forgetting stuff, but every single thing we ate was positively divine. The highlights were definitely the karaage, which were so crispy and impossibly juicy at the same time, the pork belly, which had an incredible salty flavor with the perfect crispiness, a wagyu skewer, and the sashimi. Oh my god, I've never had softer fish in my life. It was hard to believe that this quality of fish could be had in Las Vegas. But seriously, every single thing we ate was incredible. My friends and I were positively flooded that each new thing we ordered was just as delicious as the last thing we ordered. The only thing I remembered to take a photo of was the honey toast, which was also fantastic. Our server, Marc, was only on his third day. But he was fun and full of personality, and had an insane amount of great recommendations. He almost told us what to order for our entire meal, and he knocked it out of the park. Super funny and great server. Keep up the great work, Marc. We all would love to see you again! The place is a bit small, and it is pretty much always slammed busy, which is why we've never had the chance to come here before. Since it's so small, it tends to be pretty loud. We came during their lunch AYCE hours, but because there was a festival going on that weekend, they decided to charge full dinner price instead.
