This was my 3rd time trying O.Onigiri and it has been great every time! When I think onigiri or omusubi, I picture the traditional triangular-shaped rice wrapped in plastic at the Japanese supermarkets. O.Onigiri is completely different. These are made fresh to order and are "open face" on on side. All of their O.Onigiris include a thick slice of Spam, egg, seaweed, and rice. I always order the following: -Spider O.Onigiri - It consists of an entire soft-shell crab and a few slices cucumbers (My favorite!!) -Spicy ahi tuna - Great amount of spicy tuna! -Chicken katsu - This was delicous with the cabbage and katsu sauce The vegetarian O.Onigiris come with a slice of plant-based Spam, which taste pretty close to real Spam. We've also tried their Potato Croquette, Tofu Katsu, and Curry Potato Croquette. These were all delicious and super filling. I like how they don't fill it up with a ton of rice like traditional spam musubi's. While we enjoyed almost everything, we just weren't big fans of their kimchi O.Onigiri They have a box of free individual pokemon cards (commons) on the counter for kids. The employees were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was bright and clean. Parking is extremely tough to find in this popular Chinatown strip mall. My advice would be to park on Pioneer Street behind the plaza. There's a walkway that leads to the back street. read more

Small place with limited seating but great Okinawa style onigiri where there are other toppings in addition the spam and egg. It is folded in a sandwich style. We tried the Soft Shelled Crab, Chicken Katsu, Unagi, and Wagyu ones. Our favorites were the Wagyu and Chicken Katsu ones. Wow wow wow!!! Hands down so delicious!!! I literally typed onigiris in Las Vegas to order for my daughters volleyball club for their lunch during a tournament and boy it did not disappoint! It was such a HIT! The taste 100, the size 100 not too big and not small, the packaging 100 and seriously the service 100. Debbie the owner was so awesome. She went out of her way for us to make over a 100 orders and delivered it herself. Love that it's a women owned business also! It was perfect and btw these are such a great on the go meal. If you ever find yourself in the Shanghai Plaza I HIGHLY encourage you to checkout this spot!! It's one of my favorite places to get onigiris in NV I love the spin that they put on their onigiris here cause they do it Okinawan style. So instead of getting the typical triangle rice ball they fold it into what almost feels like a burger shape. It's great cause they pack so much food in it and it will definitely fill you up!! I always go with family and friends so we can try a little bit of everything on the menu. I got to say though the standouts I love to get is the Curry Chicken and Bulgolgi. HOWEVER, please be warned it can get a bit messy when inhaling (my bad I meant eating ) so always make sure to get napkins. The items here can range from about $7-$10 depending on what you're getting which I l think is fair especially if you're getting one of the meat heavier options. Last warning would be since it is located in Shanghai Plaza please keep parking in mind cause it can get a bit hectic, mostly during the evening/weekends. I love onigiri (I don't consider these onigiri but similar and I guess an easier term for most people). I really enjoyed the spam egg and spicy tuna. It was a bit messy to eat in the car. The spicy tuna was just mid, but spam and egg is always a hit. I ate every bite and thought it was delicious. My friend got the shrimp tempura sans egg and sans spam (‍) she's a picky eater but she loved it. I wish they had options without egg. She does not like egg. Or a build your own would be fun. We were really craving onigiri so I looked up the closest spot and found this place! Parking was a little tricky the lot is big but it took me a few loops before finding a space. As for the food, it's definitely more of a musubi-style take rather than traditional onigiri. All of their options include spam, which isn't really my preference. We tried the spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and classic. The spicy tuna with spam wasn't for me, but if you enjoy spam you might like it more than I did! The reviews are great and I can see why people love it, but personally I prefer a simpler more traditional onigiri. I have been enjoying O.Onigiri since they opened at this location. During the weekends, it can be tough to find parking since they are in the busy Shanghai Plaza. They have a few seating options inside which are not the most comfortable, but still convenient. Sometimes the food comes out quick and sometimes it takes a minute. It is always made fresh though and is piping hot when it comes out. I really enjoy the variety of the menu and appreciate that they have plant-based meat options available, so they are vegetarian friendly. The workers are always nice and helpful. This place had the best onigiri I have ever tried! Their bulgogi was the best!! They make it fresh on the spot after you order so comes out nice and hot! Does take a couple minutes only because it is fresh and it's a small shop so only a couple people working. The shop is small but there is some seating for a group of 4 other tables for a table of 2. I like that it was served with just enough sauce, but not too much to overpower the other flavors of the ingredients. I should have grabbed a packet of Sriracha or some hot sauce, but otherwise I really enjoyed it. I ordered it to go and I'm really glad that it took only about 5 to 10 minutes to be ready. The Okinawan onigiri reminds me of sushi taco, open musubi, or rice version of a Subway sandwich. i.e. They lay out a bed of seaweed and rice, fill it with ingredients, then fold it over to create an Okinawan onigiri! They have a wide variety of options like bulgogi, chicken katsu, potato croquette, tofu, and more. All of the options come with egg and spam unless you get a vegetarian option that comes with vegetarian spam instead. We got the chicken katsu and krabby onigiri. The chicken katsu was crisp and tasty. The imitation crab was filling and tasty as well. We were looking for a light dinner since we had a big lunch earlier, but just one onigiri was still satisfying and filling. I like this a lot more than regular onigiri because there's less rice and more filling in this one. The shop only has a few tables and chairs, so we actually walked around the plaza first to let the current customers finish eating, then returned later once a table was free. They have a bathroom for customers as well, which was nice and clean.
