Come here for AYCE sushi. They are very reasonably priced, the sushi is fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu of maki rolls, appetizers, nigiri and sashimi. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you're visiting Vegas and are thinking of coming here, I would suggest you go somewhere else. After seeing high reviews of this place on social media and looking through the Yelp reviews, we were under the impression that it would be a solid meal. The fish quality is horrible, I saw a lot of people raving about the salmon but it was fishy. Albacore, yellow tail, and tuna were a hard no. Obviously it's a sushi spot so skewers are probably not their best thing, but it was literally inedible. Super hard and had a weird aftertaste. I am not a picky person at all and will finish food even if it's not the best, but I couldn't get myself to finish our meal. We were basically done after 2 rounds. OK, I apologize in advance because I was not able to write down what every picture was because they serve their all you can eat sushi so fast we had so many plates coming in and coming out that I don't even think I took pictures of all of them, they were so delicious. Everything was fresh. The service was amazing. We went for a birthday celebration and they did not disappoint. My ice cream of choice was a Matcha green tea inspired ice cream. Literally, the sushi and the salmon and the spicy tuna everything was so fresh that it literally just melted on your tongue. I can't wait to go back to Vegas so that I can eat here again and it really was a good value for your money. Sakana just has one pricing tier structure with lunch being $25.95 or dinner at $33.95. Coming here for dinner on a saturday night this place was filled to the brim with large parties waiting to be seated. Luckily my party of 2 was seated very promptly. Service was great with one staff member taking the order and team of servers delivering the food with lightning speed. When I go to AYCE sushi places my strategy is usually to order the specials that you can only order 1 time as it is generally their signature dishes. At Sakana their specials consisted of carpaccios of salmon, yellowtail and albacore which were pretty good. The slices are thin and the rice is minimal which I was fine with as going to AYCE its usually about volume. The quality of the fish was lacking in flavor and I get it with a price $33.95 its a great deal but none of the dishes really stood out. Most used heavy sauces or toppings to disguise the quality. There are so many rolls they have to offer and its almost impossible to try everyone so you have to be very selective or have to come up with a gameplan when eating at AYCE. Overall it was a positive experience and I can see why it is a popular place with every seat taken and patrons waiting to be seated. AYCE sushi for just under $35! A short drive from the Strip, in a quiet shopping center was this restaurant completely full with patrons. The wait was less than 30 mins when we arrived around 7pm on a Sunday night. We added our name to the wait list and were sent a text when our table was ready. Once seated, service was fast. The server has a hand held computer, inputting our order, which I assume goes straight to the kitchen. Each dish was brought out within minutes. We were constantly checked in on throughout our meal. Overall, the food was very good. Best sushi I've had...no. But, some different options were available allowing them to standout a bit. They so have some items on the menu that are limited for ayce. Food quality has gone downhill. What happened?? The rice is unseasoned and just plain bland. Are we sure it's sushi rice or just a regular jasmine rice? The saving grace to the meal is probably the one time limited order for the hamachi and salmon carpaccio, the limited one time order of salmon belly nigiri where you get two pieces per person, and probably the hamachi kama. They ran out of uni so that was unfortunate. Very disappointing because sakana used to be the spot I hit up when I'm in town. This was a recommended sushi ayce so while we were in Vegas, my sister and I went there for dinner. It is tucked far in the back of a shopping plaza. It was a packed restaurant but no Asians in a sushi restaurant would make you wonder why. We sat down and ordered anyways. Honestly, the cost is very decent $33.99 for sushi AYCE BUT unhappy about the food order restrictions and the quality of the sushi. We can only have one order of All Day Specials, one order of salmon Kama, and skewers each person. They ran out of hamachi Kama at 5:30PM. HOW?! Most of their skewers were okay. Arrived around 7:40pm with a small group, and was greeted immediately and was seated right away. Restaurant has parking in a shared lot with other businesses. The place was packed. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on a busy corner, if you blink, you will miss it. If it wasn't for 2 sets of multiple people milling around the parking lot, I would not have guessed it was busy at all from standing outside. Almost looked like it was closed, save the neon open sign in the corner. Once inside, the hustle and bustle was almost rhythmic and the music was a mix of most genres of popular music. There is a cherry blossom tree in the middle of the room, and booths and tables trying to maximize space, which was pretty tight. One person width aisles with bussers and wait staff jockeying for position and the occasional interruption from a hostess seating more people. AYCE time limit is 1.5 hours, plenty of time to sample their menu. There were appetizers, soups, sushi, nigiri, rolls, handrolls, salads - from cucumber and seaweed to seafood salads - you name it, its there. The cuts of fish were soooooo fresh. Some of, if not the best fish I have had in Vegas. No skimping in the ingredients either- they serve very balanced and generous portions. The fish tasted clean and fresh and none of the rolls we sampled were overpowered by rice. Especially loved the 2 riceless rolls they have (can't recall the names unfortunately); they were 20/20!! The service was fast, and other one small hiccup with one of the food runners... she kept tossing plates on the table and not announcing the dishes she was tossing at us; until my +1 mentioned it to our waitor and he took care of the issue... the rest of the service was great. Our waitor was super nice and never hesitated to stop to talk us through different menu items and made some really awesome suggestions for us to try. I would highly recommend getting as much nigiri as possible. We got other items off the menu but the nigiri is the best if you like sashimi with a little bit of rice. Sakana is one of six sushi restaurants as part of the Dragon Factories franchise in Las Vegas. It offers virtually the same menu as Mr. Shota, Umami Sushi, Sushi Neko, Neko Supreme, and Sumo Sushi. I went for dinner today with my family around 8:00 and it was not thee best dining experience. I have been to this location a couple times prior and I feel like the service has been kind of lacking more and more as time progresses. Not sure if I will be returning anymore. The fish was good quality and the amount of rice was very little. This was definitely a plus for an all you can eat location. We had about 4 rounds of sushi, but each round something didn't come out. We had to remind our server that we didn't get some items. Then she would go check or we would have to reorder it. This was a bit annoying and made it take longer to get our food. Since this is a timed dining experience the lack of items all coming out made you feel really rushed. It was about an hour since we started eating, the server comes saying its our last call. We were still waiting for our previous order and she was a little pushy about making our final order. It was frustrating because we would have to order our dessert when our last sushi order didn't even come out. So our ice cream would come out and pretty much be melted by the time we finished our last sushi round. Definitely made us feel rushed and the icing on the cake was when we placed our last order the server even said "so can I bring your bill now?" I've been wanting to check out Sakana for a long time but the location and the long wait times kept me at bay. We finally checked this out on a random Wednesday at about 7pm and there was a 25 minute wait. The location is definitely not desirable and we dealt with a couple of random people in the parking lot that were panhandling and yelling random obscenities at everyone and also no one. Might be best to wait in your car. Now for the food, just as everyone has said previously the rice to fish ratio is amazing. Very little rice in the nigiri and the rolls which is unheard of at AYCE sushi. There were also several options of items without any rice: carpaccios, rolls, seafood salad, etc. all these items have a 1 order limit per person. All the food came out very quickly and there was also a large variety of side dishes and appetizers available. I have been going to Sushi-mon for 20 years for my AYCE sushi so I compare everything to them. I would say that Sakana has a smaller menu with less nigiri options. I would also say that the fish quality is slightly better at Sushimon. However Sakana's fish to rice ratio is far superior to Sushi mon and every roll I tried was delicious. All in all I would say it is just as good with a focus on different priorities. Everyone should definitely take the time to check it out. read more

We were seated at a small table that was wobbling. We thought they forgot us lol but a nice gentleman took our orders before we were actually about to leave. We both did AYCE. 8 piece rolls have the option to be ordered as half rolls. Be Happy, Chanel and Call 911 were good but I would have preferred less sauce on the rolls. Call 911 roll looked to be the spiciest roll but honestly it was rather tame. Kurobuta sausage was good. Baked mussels were my favorite. Masago and salmon nigiri was good.. loved the rice to fish ratio. "Stuff tomato" tasted good but not the best.. other places do this better. Dessert was okay. Bathroom is gross and reminded me of a dive bar with all the tacky writing on the walls. We ended up walking over to the nearby target to go window shopping while we waited. Food - we love this place. This is our second time here. They have so many selections that don't include rice. We recommend the pork bulgogi, dynamite, yakitori (chicken), baked mussels, sashimi roll, poke roll, hamachi Kama, hamachi carpaccio and salmon carpaccio.
