Small restaurant in strip mall. The space is dimly lit and has sophisticated decor. There is table seating and bar seating available. The bathroom had fun Art and amazing surround sound. Lol Plenty of parking available. Service was super attentive, and our water was never empty. The Uni pasta is exactly what you would want from an Uni pasta. The udon was nice and chewy. The cream sauce was decadent, the masago was briny, the shiso leaves gave a nice brightness, and the seaweed really tied together the umami. The piece of Uni placed on top of the pasta added another layer of decadence that was really fun to eat. Comes out hot and fresh and addicting. $33

We went twice in one week and loved the uni pasta, hotate uni carpaccio, Sunrise Burger, and hire katsu. However, the skewers were underwhelming and lacked flavor, and the pork belly was tough. Service was minimal both visits, and the uni pasta took a long time to arrive during dinner. I also wasn't a fan of not seeing a physical receipt before paying, especially with tip options starting at 18% despite the limited service. Overall, great food with some misses. Service could improve. Make a reservation or join the waitlist if visiting for dinner!

Straight to the point : -Food was plated nicely but taste was average. -service was mediocre, gave us our check and rushed us out even though we had been waiting for another plate . Charged us for it , never came out, and I had to ask them to cancel it and remove it. - in addition, they charge 20% gratuity for a party of 5, didn't see that stated anywhere. Feels as if they didn't tend to us as much knowing it was an automatic tip from us. The extra star is for the ambiance because at least it had nice decor inside.

Japanese style ribeye comes with miso soup and rice

Stopped in for some crispy rice, spicy tuna, and saw the Japanese style ribeye on the menu and I couldn't resist! It arrives to the table sizzling. On the platter included is the most delicious miso soup and rice. Eating here definitely reminded me of being in Japan. Such a cute little Restaurant. Now I want to go back to both Japan and Ton Shou!

We came here for a late night dinner reservation , we were really lucky to get a reservation because the restaurant is really small and very crowded . Ton shou has a really good variety on there menu ranging from tonkatsu , sashimi , burgers etc . We got some nigiri , crab croquette , Wagyu burger , salmon carpaccio , Japanese rib eye , and some grilled meats (beef tongue ) . I really enjoyed the nigiri the fish was super fresh and so tasty . I also liked the Japanese rib eye it is served sizzling hot with a veggie soup and the meat was so so tender . This dish is rather large and one would have been enough . We definitely over ordered for 4 people . Definitely get reservations here if you are able To! Everything we ordered was super delicious

My family and I decided to eat here out of whim. It wasn't exactly the location my parents wanted but it was a last minute choice. The food was delicious. The portions were pretty big. I ordered the Rosu Katsu. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. My dad and hubby both got the steak and my mom ordered the hamburger steak. Sorry, I didn't take the pictures of their food. Overall, it was a good choice. I enjoyed my meal. Service was nice and friendly. Ambiance was mellow and chill. I'd come back to choose other options on their menu.

This is one of the better katsu places I've tried. The portions were pretty big and filling for the prices. I would definitely come back to eat here again! Scallop Cream Croquette- 4.75/5: The outside was so flaky. The cream inside is pretty good. I thought it might be weird to just eat cream inside, but it wasn't! I do think they could be a bit bigger. Tori Katsu- 5/5: I liked that this dish came with all the sides. Again their katsu outside was so flaky similar to the croquettes. They give you sesame seeds to grind up and put into the katsu sauce. Tonkatsu Sando- 5/5: The salad dressing was very good. This sandwich was very filling and packed with lots of stuff. The katsu is crispy not as much as the Tori katsu granted it's in sauce.

This was a PLEASANT SURPRISE!! Getting seated didn't take too long. The food was Authenticity Japanese. I ordered the Otoro Sashimi. The blue fin tuna was fresh and full of flavor. I also ordered the Hire Katsu. The pork tenderloins were amazing. The dish came out with cabbage salad, pickles, soup and made-to-order kettle cooked rice. This was more than enough to feel pleasantly full. The restaurant was beautiful and clean.

I will forever dream about my food here. This spot is a MUST when you visit Vegas. It's a quiet, moody spot off the strip. The food was amazing and melted in my mouth. The service was also great at checking in and getting us seated quickly.

Wow. No words. Just eat here. It's fire. Yelp makes me wrote at least 85 characters tho.

Ton Shou was a solid spot for Japanese comfort food in Vegas. We went on a Saturday night, joined the waitlist, and were seated pretty quickly once we arrived. We ordered: * Ton Shou Special -- good overall and a nice variety. * Uni Pasta -- VERY creamy, but I love creamy pasta so I was into it. Definitely very rich, though. * Wagyu Beef Tataki -- good quality and flavorful, but I thought there was a little too much sauce that covered up some of the beef. * Takoyaki -- flavor was okay, but the piece of octopus inside was so tiny. * Tonkatsu Sando -- way bigger than we expected and actually pretty good! The bottom had this egg salad-like layer that reminded me of those convenience store egg sandwiches in Japan IYKYK. Definitely a nice little touch and made the sando even more filling. One thing to know: the portions are pretty generous, so don't make the mistake we did and go crazy ordering. We were a group of 3 and definitely over-ordered. There was so much food and so many carbs that we felt like crap afterward LOL. I do wish our server had been a little more helpful with recommending portions. I actually asked her if our order was too much food before we placed it, and she said, "You can always order more." GIRL... YOU SHOULD'VE TOLD US TO REMOVE SOMETHING. We absolutely did not need to order more. Overall, good food, big portions, and a fun Vegas spot. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering less and saving myself from the food coma. Haha

Ok, I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this place even though we've been here multiple times. They're in the Chinatown Plaza, and If you've ever visited restaurants there. You know that parking can be horrendous. Try to make a reservation online prior to coming, because they do get busy. The food here is delicious! I normally order their shrimp katsu and alternate with their salmon katsu. The salmon is juicy and not overcooked and dry. I love their katsu batter they use. It gives such an amazing crunch to the meat of choice. My fave sauce to dip my salmon or shrimp is their tartar sauce! It is so good! So if you're looking for a spot to enjoy good katsu and tempura. Definitely give them a visit.

Swing by here for an early dinners. We tried their yellowtail cappaccio, tonshou salad, crispy shrimp lollipop, gyoza, chicken katsu with curry, ikayaki, and cucumber mikizushiz. Wow! How delicious! My yellowtail cappaccio was bright and comes with a punch. Nice. The salad was a huge pleasant surprise. The slight smokiness from the grill definitely transferred the entire experience. Kids love their gyoza and katsu along with curry. I enjoyed the crispy shrimp lollipop, the solid cucumber rolls and the lovely ikayaki. The ikayaki was great. Still soft, not chewy, lovely flavored with the right amount of char. For katsu, they preserve a bowl of sesame and you can start to grind the seeds. When katsu is served, they will pour sauce over the grinds. It was a fun experience! I also got a hot tea. Service was great and always attentive. When it came to dessert, they told us they got the standard Japanese cheesecake and we might find something more interesting around. Appreciate their feedback and we did find something exciting after! The restaurant is nicely decorated to Vegas standard. Situated in the Chinatown plaza. Fantastic location!

The restaurant is small and cozy so there was a 30 minute wait, but it gave us time to look over the menu and ogle the wide variety of onigiri available. Of course, we had to purchase 6 and we'll go back for more so we can snag some of the ones that were sold out. They have an online waitlist so you know where you are in line and they take your order before you are seated to make sure the dish you want is available, like the sea urchin negitoro bowl and the wagyu tonkatsu bowl. The staff was very sweet and attentive, checking in with updates Our orders came quickly after being seated . We order the Premium and Deluxe tempura bowls. They came with light and crispy tempura over fluffy rice, a small dish of pickles that was wonderfully refreshing, and a bowl of savory miso soup. The tempura itself was delicious, not greasy at all. Even with no sauce, pepper, or additional salt, the flavors of the kisu fish, anago, shrimp, and vegetables were unforgettable. The tempura egg was silky and I could eat all of it again and again.

There are so many different ones to choose from and they all look so good! The truffle spam and egg was my favorite! If you like truffle you'll like it. Also got the A5 Wagyu sukiyaki and it was kinda hard to tell it was A5 Wagyu, just tasted like beef to me. The salmon ikura one is good if you like fish eggs but personally I find them a little too fishy. Would come back to try other flavors and the tempura though!

My brother and sister-in-law took us here, and luckily, we arrived early enough to avoid the line and snag the last available table. Moments later, a long line was forming outside! Truth be told, I'm not usually a fan of katsu, although my entire family loves it. We ordered both the regular and thick-cut pork katsu sets to compare, along with oysters, a seafood mix, jumbo scallops, mushrooms, and Kumidashi cold tofu. My favorite was the scallops. Everything except the tofu was fried, and WOW! The katsu here is unlike what I've had elsewhere. Perfectly crispy, clean-tasting, not greasy, moist on the inside, and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed the ritual of grinding sesame seeds to mix into my katsu sauce. The iced green tea was wonderfully refreshing, and refills were included--a nice bonus! Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Coming from someone who doesn't typically gravitate toward katsu, I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Everything from the menus, the decor, the dishware will really make you feel like you're in Japan. The food here is so delicious!! I would highly recommend the thick cut pork loin Katsu. The service is also very quick and polite. Lowlights: The restaurant is very small and they pack a lot of tables inside so they don't allow strollers. I imagine it would be hard to dine with a large group.

For the Main dishes their TonKatsu is always crispy, and I get their YakiTori bowl. The chashu bowl is super tasty. The dinner has combinations that you can pair together with your dish, such as miso soup and California roll. The miso soup here the best I have ever had. They have a large selection of alcohol. Japanese sake and Shochu and whiskey. Of course they are famous for the freezing Chu-hai this I highly recommend. They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. Next time we're in Vegas, we'll absolutely come back and try some more!
