Oreo cookies n creme ice cream with caramel and toffee bits under a mochi blanket
Julia C.

As first timers, my husband and I walked into this fancy upscale restaurant without reservations and were able to be seated at a table instead of the bar. Sai thoroughly explained the menu to us. We ordered gyoza, sea bass lettuce wraps, cucumber salad, crispy rice salmon, rainbow and golden dragon rolls. Everything tasted immaculate. The house made mochi ice cream desserts in matcha and cookies n creme was probably the best dessert I've ever had.

This spot blew me away. The food, the vibe, the service....chef's kiss. Sure, it's a little pricey, but trust me, you'll forget all about that once the plates start landing on your table. Now let's talk about the Brussels sprouts. OH. MY. GOD.... Mouthgasm!. I have never been so excited about vegetables in my life. We ordered two rounds and I was this close to ordering a third. Whatever they put in those things is basically culinary crack. Everything was fresh, beautifully plated, and genuinely delicious. Our server was on point the entire night, and there wasn't a single dish we didn't love. Overall, an incredible experience. I'll be back the next time I'm in Vegas without hesitation. Drooling just thinking about those Brussels sprouts

Treasure box
Melissa N.

Such fresh fish and fantastic execution on the food! The treasure box was amazing. All the cuts felt like they just came out of the ocean. The raw shrimp, toro, bits of pickled daikon, small flowers, iruka, tamago pieces, perfectly prepared sushi rice all coming together in delicious spoonfuls. We inhaled that lickety split. The scallop roll was so balanced from the butteriness of the avocado to the ratio of rice on the roll and the yummy scallops. The seabass butter lettuce cups were a great starter. You can feel all the textures and delicious seabass. I would love to come back to try more appetizers and rolls, while getting another treasure box. The wait for food was longer than we typically expect during non peak meal hours but the food was well worth the wait. For reference, we arrived at 3:45 pm on a Friday and our treasure box didn't arrive until 25 minutes after we ordered. We did the get the appetizer before that. We also finished inhaling the treasure box before our roll came. It's a fancy feel in the restaurant so I can understand relaxed dining pace. Service was great. I love hearing recommendations and our server was very attentive and courteous. I highly recommend you dine here, it's pricey and well worth the time and travel in my opinion.

Foie gras with oysters Oyster Foie
Ashley M.

Very unique decadent chirashi that did look like a jewel box. Good quality fish. Appetizers included foie gras oysters and uni toast which were delicate and full of flavor. Was there still during soft opening phase so curious what cocktails or drinks they have. Attentive service although a tad slow.

Treasury Box Sushi (limited to 10 orders daily)

So....uh..... this is the best sushi I've ever had. Normally I'd write a longer review but simply but this sushi is really, really amazing. Every piece of sushi I had put in my mouth tasted like it was carefully prepared, particularly the quality of the ingredients. Each piece of fish tasted like it just came out the sea, every bite of rice had the perfect resistance and amount of vinegar. If you normally go to places like Sapporo sushi or ayce sushi you end up thinking paying anything more than $30-40 a person is enough and sushi doesn't get much better than that. You would think $80 is kind of steep if you're used to regular sushi spots in vegas, but if you want a delicious experience that can make you breathless for a second, come to Doanburi. Well it does. Come order the treasure box and let your tongue thank you later. I'm going to be back very soon to try more of the menu and think about the prices later.

Doanburi challenges my palette for Japanese food: what I thought was "great sushi" has now been elevated to a new level! The service was also impeccable! Rarely do I find a place that carefully checks on our table with professionalism (ie, so they're not creepy but they always know when your plate needs to be removed, your glass is nearing the bottom, or you may need something). This must be what Kings and Queens feel like. Doanburi makes patrons feel like that when they dine here! The sushi was divine... like truly Heavenly. Like I thought I died. Do I sound dramatic? Haha, maybe, but I don't know how else to say it! I can tell each item was made with THE utmost care, and each bite was sophisticated and layered with textures and flavors. Every bite was so special. Doanburi is up there as one of my favorite restaurants...ever.

It may not be authentic Japanese cuisine, but everything was delicious and definitely a place I'd like to come back to!⁉ If they allow takeout for the Treasure Box, I might even order it once or twice a week The restaurant was clean, stylish, and the presentation of the dishes was beautiful as well!

Scallop and Salmon roll

Finally got to dine in at Doanburi after previously only ordering takeout. The restaurant is nice and modern, and the service was good. Loved everything--the cucumber salad with yuzu was so refreshing, the sea bass butter lettuce wrap was super buttery, and the scallop & salmon roll and surf & turf roll were both great. Dessert was delicious too--the strawberry shortcake was tasty, though the cake itself was a little on the firmer side. It's a bit pricey, but the fish is mostly imported from Japan and worth it. Definitely coming back!

Hands down the best sushi in vegas! Walking in I can smell a light incense preparing my senses for the upcoming meal. Even prices are comparable to strip places, every dish is thoughtfully designed with uniqueness. Even simple tomago has dashi and hint of sweetness. Chef Jae intentionally sources everything from Japan. King salmon is from New Zealand and it shows both in quality and taste.

A-5 Truffle Wagyu Gyoza

The sashimi was the very best you will find here in Las Vegas, fish from Japan and New Zealand, melt in your mouth delicious! The presentation was beautiful and the staff were very attentive and well versed on all of the ingredients. Next time I'm planning on getting the treasure box! I can't wait to return. Atmosphere is very elegant and peaceful. I wish I could give it 10 stars!

Lobster Tempura
Kelly B.

Doanburi has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, and somehow every visit is even better than the last. If you're planning to come for dinner, do yourself a favor and make a reservation--it fills up fast, and for good reason. We started with the Oyster Foie, and I honestly haven't stopped thinking about it. The briny freshness of the oyster paired with the rich, velvety foie gras created the most luxurious bite. It literally melted in our mouths and was the perfect way to kick off the meal. Next came the Lobster Tempura, and wow. The lobster was unbelievably juicy and sweet, wrapped in a light, crispy tempura. The brown butter aioli took it to another level--it was silky, nutty, and paired perfectly with every bite of lobster and asparagus. We also shared the sashimi platter, and every piece was incredibly fresh, buttery, and beautifully presented. I also have to rave about the lychee martini. It was light, crisp, and refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. It complemented the seafood perfectly and is something I'd order again in a heartbeat. Between the impeccable presentation, incredibly fresh ingredients, and warm, attentive service, Doanburi consistently delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving incredible sushi and seafood, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

What an experience! Chef Jae is truly a master at her craft. Words can't fully describe how enjoyable this meal was. From start to finish, the service was top tier, an all around amazing experience. Each server took the time to describe every dish in detail, which made the meal feel thoughtful and elevated. We found Doanburi on TikTok and decided to try it on a Sunday afternoon, and we're so glad we did. The quality and flavor of everything were outstanding, with each dish clearly curated with love and passion. We ordered the sashimi salad, cucumber salad, edamame, wagyu dumplings, Summertime roll, kimchi crab roll, scallop and salmon roll, and how could I forget, the sea bass butter lettuce wraps. For dessert, we had the strawberry cake, and wow... the perfect balance of sweet without being overwhelming. When I say everything was incredible and I can't choose a favorite, I truly mean it. The interior decor is clean, upscale, and classic. You can tell a lot of thought and intention went into every detail of this establishment. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they receive a Michelin star. To top it all off, the chef even came out, served a dish, and engaged with us personally, such a special touch. The passion, service, food, and atmosphere will absolutely keep us coming back. Wishing Doanburi nothing but success with this incredible new restaurant.

Wagyu old fashion
Shannon L.

I saw the instagram reel from @dongkyuverymuch that Chef Jae opened her restaurant! I dropped in at a non peak time for a late lunch. I had prepped myself to have a light lunch and only get the Beyond the rainbow roll. It was so good, delicious seasoned rice to crab, avocado, and the fish was a perfect temperature to be able to absorb all the umami and butteryness of the fish. That was so good, I had to get a few more nigiri pieces since I was there. Also, Chef Jae was there working. Awesome to see. Chutoro, maguro, scallop (from hokkaido), ikura (from japan and marinated in house, and I learned they do have quail egg, just have to ask), and tamago (made from japanese eggs). Everything was served very well. Service was excellent by the waitress, Wagyu old fashioned made with wagyu fat washed Nikka coffey grain whiskey and japanese sugar hit the spot. Loved the clear ice for the elevated cocktail. Will definitely be back! P.s. I asked and the sushi boxes seen on the food delivery apps are also available if you call the restaurant and order directly or on the website. Less takeout fees.

My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.
